It was a nice place for a location to go to different towns and see different things. This property was very adequate for our needs. I would come back again.

The room itself was clean, updated and bright. My only issue was sending a text and making a phone call regarding dirty bed linens was not answered. Not sure if they have 'office hours' , or if it is 24 hours, but I had requested clean sheets for a bed that had quite a bit of sand in it and I never got a reply. Glad we always pack a camping cot so someone could sleep on that rather than a dirty bed.

Ashley was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and the perfect homebase for visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes, Fishtown, Pointe Betsie Lighthouse etc. We will definitely stay here again.

I did not feel like the photos and the actual property were in sync. The smells from the cleaning products were overwhelming.

Room was super clean and there was a lot of air circulation. Staff was very communicative for check in, and let us check in a little early to make it to a wedding. Overall very nice. Don't love that there's a highway in between the motel and the beach, or that there were loads of mosquitos on the door outside the room (so they weren't inside, but could get in quickly if the door was opened) - those things they can't control. The only complaint they could is that there wasn't enough parking for 2 vehicles on our 3-person stay. There's no assigned parking, but it seems like all of the parking spots in the lot are 1.5-car width, and the lot could probably be easily re-lined for more parking.

Was clean. Nice free breakfast. Toilet was a bit higher than toddler, shower head was nose level. Very small. Rate I paid was too high for what I got.

Super affordable for the price! Room was cute and super clean plus the hotel is right next to Crystal Lake. Would definitely stay again!

Great place. They texted me a code for a key and I was able to just go straight to my room. 2 big beds and a twin bunkbed.

Nice hotel for a road trip, the pool was 3ft deep and great, the room had two full beds and a bunk bed with a trundle. The view to the marsh was beautiful.

The bird viewing in the marshes out back was neat

Room four. Super small not even a chair in the room. Very basic. Phone booth size shower. Teeny bathroom. Road noise.

Plumbing was wacky, loose and off center

Such a cute little motel on the way to many great places. Price was good , Breakfast was fair. Bed was very comfortable. Parking was great and the pool was very relaxing. The only real drawback was the shower head , it absolutely must be extended higher in the shower. Whether you are 5’2” or 7’2” , you can’t fit in these showers comfortably. Overall , a very enjoyable stay.

We needed a place for the night and the Coastal Inn met our goal. It is your basic drive up to the door motel which we prefer so we can easily load and unload without elevators and a front desk. The key was in a lockbox making it easy to get it. We were a bit hesitant at first when there was water on the floor so we called and a rep was there promptly to clean it up. Apparently the front of the building was power washed a few hours earlier and water got under the door. Then as we were unloading, a guy staying nearby with an ankle bracelet walked by and we were wondering if this was an ok spot. That aside, the room was clean and comfortable albeit small. WiFi was good and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was the size of a phone booth and the shower head was about 5’ 8” high so if you are large or tall, the shower might be a challenge. Being right along US 31, road noise can be distracting so play white noise on your phone all night. The AC unit is above the bed and turns off and on a lot but it works great. All in all, we had a restful night. It was too pricey for what you get but it’s the area and the season so it is was it is.

Room was easy to check into and find, we received clear instructions prior to checking in which was nice. Rooms are by the main road so we did hear some road noise but other than that it was a nice place.

The shower was extremely small. I’m 5,2” and barely fit under it.

We had a great stay and it was easy to find, comfortable, and safe.

My room was very comfortable. It had very recently been renovated. The bathroom was large with a walk in shower and very nice towels. Breakfast was a continental one. It was too cool to swim but the outdoor pool looked very inviting.

Place was very clean, close to gas station. Walking distance to lake.

Ok for a one night stay. Bathroom was very small. Shower was barely big enough to get into, shower head very low and stuck out almost halfway across, at least the shower was hot and had good pressure, but not ideal.

We really loved your place. We had the family suite with 2 beds and the bunk bed. It was prefect. We were really impressed with the quality of the breakfast. Having granola and good yogurt was a pleasant surprise. Everything was really thought out well. We would defiantly stay again! Thank you for a great stay.

Advertised breakfast of opened loaves of bread and old muffins. Pictures included fruits when no fruit to be found. Not many dining options near so be sure to bring food along for breakfast if staying here. Coffee maker in room was dirty. The shower is so small and shower head is down way too low. Door doesn’t feel secure. Didn’t feel very safe here. I think it was very overpriced for what it was.

The inside is updated and nice, as is the outside of the building. The wood door really should be replaced as it lacks security and privacy. The shade covering the door window is ripped and no longer fits so we hung toilet paper on the sides for more privacy. The unit is decorated nicely; maybe an area rug would give it more of a homey/welcoming feeling. Price was excellent.

Definitely not as expected from Expedia listing and motel website. "View" out the back window was of a tall fence 2 feet from the window. (No lake views out the front. It's on the other side of the street, behind a different motel) Nobody present during the posted limited office hours, sign gave a number to text, but those texts went unanswered. Paper thin walls and front door meant hearing ALL of the passing traffic, as well as the guy in the adjacent room having a screaming meltdown all night and the next morning.. (Staff actually on site would have needed to deal with the disruption) Tiny shower in tiny bathroom, with no exhaust fan. (Bath window, the only way to ventilate the bath, wide open upon arrival). Hit my head on the sink standing up from the toilet. (It's THAT close) "Breakfast" of cereal or half loaves of store bread not available until sometime between 8 and 9. Generic K-cups for coffee. Never did find the advertised bottled water. Bottom line: 50s dive motel for a major chain hotel price, with no charm or views to redeem it

Comfortable beds, good linens, good wifi, and easy check in/out. Coffee maker in room broken, no water bottles as advertised, moldy baked goods for breakfast, shower head good if 5ft tall or under, and no daily maid service.
