This hotel is nothing to what you se on website, in the website looks colorful , nice , etc. Is all round down, not well kept, mosquitoes get inside the room, really old towels , no tv . They should advertise this hotel for people who go snorkeling maybe or backpackers, that don’t care for any confort maybe, some do probably, but definitely not for families or two women alone, restaurant people not the most friendly or bartender, they make us feel out of place, I pay for 3 nights and stay only one, the noise of the trees and wind and mosquitoes make it impossible to sleep plus didn’t feel safe I think we were the only ones there after a family left that day. I have to get another hotel , and nobody reimburse for my other two nights. So I don’t recommend this hotel the way is advertised. Location is the only thing they have good.

Convenient but not real clean around the eating area.

Outlet in bathroon dead, Took minimum of 4 minutes for "hot" water to reach room, maybe 100F. Fumigated property for bugs at 1030 PM with no notice. Generally took 45 min to get lunch or dinner out of kitchen, regardless of the amount of people. Road into property had no drainage and in terrible condition. Took 3 days for someone to figure out how to reset the safe code. Back charged the fee they paid to Expedia for the booking. Garbage on the beach every morning from the non-guests they allowed to use their site. Gotta say, not the fault of the staff. Just above some of the hostels on the island.

You can’t beat the location, the beach is just amazing, the area is awesome and close to good restaurants…. The negatives, breakfast is too limited and the staff at the restaurant is not good, specially a super rude bartender I would def come back, just not eat at the restaurant

The room was in poor condition and masquitos still managed to eat us alive. Definitely not worth the price but you get what you pay for, I guess.

Property is just as advertised. I was traveling alone to scuba dive. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Dive operation was outstanding. I will definitely return on my next trip to Roatan.

Visited with my husband. It is the definition of rustic charm with a laid back island vibe. The staff were welcoming and accommodating! The dive shop was very well managed and took great care of us. The location is absolutely amazing. We will be back!

Great place

The overall service was good, except for the guys at the Bar. Barman super rude and servers horrible! I had to stand up and ask for the menu several times, talk to the bartender which gave me a horrible treat pizza was burnt twice and flavor disgusting. At one moment I decided to get water from my room and the same rude bartender asked me to pay like if I was going to run away. Next time he should ask if I needed something else.

My family and I stayed at Bananarama 12 years ago and it was just as wonderful the second time! Laid back atmosphere, friendly staff, great food and drinks (here's looking at you Derry and Ryan) and the best dive shop ever. Thank you Zoe, Ben and Jordan for taking such good care of us on our dives! We loved every minute of our stay at Bananarama :)

This West Bay resort is centrally located on a gorgeous stretch of beach. The restaurant on site has daily food and drink specials. The included breakfast was good. (Choice of ham and cheese omlette, two eggs with your choice of meat, fruit bowl, pancakes or traditional Honduran breakfast). Coffee, tea and juice included. We had room 4 which is one of the cottages behind the dive shop. It was clean and had two comfy queen size beds. The bathroom is small but fine. Lack of Water pressure in the shower was the only slight complaint but we managed. You can vaugely hear the clanging of the dive tanks starting around 7 am but it wasn’t too bad. The room had a cute porch with two chairs and a hammock. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. And a huge jug (20 Litres at least!) of bottled water. The beach in front of the resort has the boats coming and going. Ample beach chairs for guests. Beach towels are provided. The dive shop was great. I dove with them 5 times! Amazing team.

The location and value can't be beat. People from other hotels come to this location for the food, fun, and great drink specials. Our room needed a reno and the AC wasn't the coldest, but we weren't in our room much so it wasn't that important to us. We will be back!

We had a great time during our week vacation at Bananarama. The staff was really helpful if we needed transportation to our excursions. The complementary breakfast is outstanding at the Thirsty Turtle and they have a great pizza too. It’s mainly a place for scuba divers, but not exclusively. We were there just to relax enjoy the beautiful water, beach, sunsets, and snorkeling.

The staff were all very friendly. The driver picked our group up from the airport and was right on time! Loved that the front desk was very easy to make arrangements with to get drivers to take us shopping and answered all questions we had. The property is older, so needs some work done to the villas, but overall the beds were comfortable and clean. They didn't ever mop the floors when cleaning and one day didn't switch out the towels, but overall I give the cleaning a 3 stars. I would stay here again, as it was quiet, easy access to the beach, and the security kept people from bothering you about buying things.

We had a great stay there. The people were amazing and very helpful. The rooms are rustic but comfortable and have everything you need. There is no TV in the rooms but who needs it with the ocean views. They had great dinning and drink specials. Don’t miss the crab races on Sundays.

This is my second time coming to Bananarama. I like the clean, safe property. The staff is amazing. The most beautiful beach is in front of the resort. Water taxi is close by to go to West End. I will be back on my next visit.
