Great spot down from the city center. Room was clean. Even though was in a balcony room didn’t have too much street noise. Great stay!

Great service/staff. Great walkable location close to centro but not on busy street so it was quiet, good AC, decent wifi. Bathroom was tiny and smelled like mildew or bad pipes so the smell went into the room which wasnt pleasant.

Estaba muy limpio, bien ubicado . A pesar de que la habitación nos tocó con vista a la calle no se escuchaba mucho ruido porque tienen doble vidrio las ventanas. Nos guardaron nuestro equipaje después del check-in para que siguieramos disfrutando de la ciudad. Muchas gracias!! Todo excelente.

The room that I stayed in was very small and didn't have a mini fridge, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. The property was well taken care of and in a great location.

This place was under some type of lobby construction and it wasn’t properly displayed on their hotel status.

Nice hotel, newer beds which are confortable. A bit noisy because it's downtown but nothing that we couldn't live with.

Clean and nice view of city with parking included; a few blocks from zocalo and Templo de Santo Domingo. Staff was friendly and helpful. Credit card machine was not working so had to pay cash.

The hotel is safe and clean, the area is safe too with lots of police around, so when your walking to the shops, restaurants or just enjoying the view you feel safe.

If you just need a place to sleep, shower and take a break from walking around beautiful Oaxaca, Hotel Mayis fits the bill. Rooms are a walk up to second floor facing the street. Noise wasnt a problem for us. Rooms are clean and basic. As a Westerner used to a lot of comfort, bed was a bit hard for me but for 3 nights it was fine. Three of us stayed in a 2 queen room and had plenty of space. This hotel is very small and doesnt have any other amenities but coffee, food, etc. are all close by. Front desk staff was very friendly.

Oaxaca is a great place with lots of history and great food. The hotel was in a great location near downtown and the service was very good.

This is a central location and the room is fine. The bathroom is very small. Bakery, chocolate, and good shop across the street!

Excellent location, most of the restaurants and attractions are walking distance.The rooms are a bit small but very comfortable it’s great that rooms have a/c. Overall the staff was really friendly and made our stay enjoyable.

I booked a double bed room for a week in Oaxaca. I was meeting a friend there and upon arriving at the hotel the desk clerk stated my room was only for one person and wanted to charge me twice for what I had already paid for. The Expedia app states that the room is for 2 people and that any one extra including children maybe charged extra. We were only 2 persons so no additional charges were expected. I argued my point and the clerk said we could figure it out later and that I could proceed to the room. We were giving two remotes for the two TVs and Air Conditioners. Why would there be 2 of everything if its a room for 1 person. Well its not its meant for two and I wasn't paying double. Please be aware of these situations when traveling.

Hotel Mayis is a small hotel that is close to everything in the center of town. It is clean, yet it needs attention to get it up to par with other hotels in this price range. Towels were rough and thin and a dingy color of what used to be white. The sheets also need to be replaced; one of our beds had a bottom sheet with holes in it and the sheets had some stains in them. On the positive side, rooms were clean and the bathrooms had new sinks and toilet and there were plenty of electrical outlets.

I needed a place to stay before moving to the next location and I was sick. the room was comfortable and was what I needed before my night bus. I was grateful for them holding my luggage till it was time for me to leave. thanks!

Hotel Mayis was a wonderful place to stay! It was a very clean and comfortable hotel in such a great location. We really enjoyed our stay in Oaxaca!
