We stayed at Mont Rochelle for the second stop of our honeymoon. We had previously come from Cape Town, and it was an easy one hour ish drive/Uber into Franschhoek. This place is absolutely gorgeous!!! We came during the winter months and the sunset over the vineyards and mountains were stunning. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The customer service here was top of the line. We were checked in by Peter and he helped us map our the activities and transportation required while we were staying at the hotel. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle that runs certain times of the day. This was such a great feature, as Ubers aren’t as common out in the winery areas. The check in process alone was so special, we checked in seated by the fire place, with a hot towel, and a glass of champagne. The staff truly made us feel special throughout our entire stay. The lobby has an old hotel kitty that hangs out and he is so cute and sleeps all day long by the fire. I want to be that kitty when I grow up. The rooms were so clean and decorated really well. We had one of the rooms on the main level that looked out to the mountains. The view alone was spectacular. We highly recommend staying at Mont Rochelle. You must stay here when visiting Franschhoek.

Mont Rochelle is truly a hidden gem. The staff are superb always welcoming and so helpful giving advice and ideas for planning your day. The free shuttle into town was a real bonus. We had a fantastic stay thank you to all staff at the Mont Rochelle.

What didn't I like, everything was exceptional ad above and beyond expectations!
Check-in was the best ever so relaxing & calming.
The property and rooms are brilliant but what makes this place so exceptional was the friendliness of the staff.
Make sure you let Darren & the team plan your wine tours they truly know what they are doing!

Our stay was very remarkable. James (Manager) took his time to prepare an itinerary for the our Wine Tram Tour and he picked the best vineyards for our wine tasting. We are so grateful!

This is an amazing hotel in an amazing area.The staff were extremely helpful and we would strongly recommend this hotel.we were also given an upgrade which was extremely kind and hope to return again this year.Nothing to do with the hotel but the Franchoek vineyard tram wine tour is excellent and good way to look around the area helped by a free transfer from the hotel to the town.

Totally FABULOUS. Peter & Adam at the front desk are superlative. You need to borrow an iPhone charger? They GIVE you one!
You are greeted with “Welcome home, plus champagne and a sofa, not a desk & credit card machine. A dinner reservation has already been made for you.
The minibar is included as are a jar of cookies, two bars of chocolate, and even the bath rubber duckie is yours to keep. Shuttle service to restaurants & wineries is free & quick. Breakfast and the breakfast setting is to die for.
Our modern oval bedroom, one of the most affordable units, had a balcony and step down to a rose & orchid garden, outdoor chess patio, herb garden and gazebo. The view was overlooking the town, grape fields, and dramatic mountains.
The buildings are thatched roof, and stucco exterior in a French country motif. This place gets an 11 out of 10, with absolutely no negatives.

Hotel was close to all amenities, the Milo restaurant served lovely fresh food, staff were polite, friendly and very accommodating....can’t wait to go back for a return visit....

Lovely room. The first time we have had a mini bar replenished so quickly and with unlimited wine and chocolate! Superb location on the hillside with views of the mountains and the vines. Friendly, knowledgeable wine tasting included.

Such a cool hotel, staff couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating. I arrived alone with a day to fill before my husband got there and they were so friendly and gave me great ideas of things I could do safely on my own. Fabulous restaurant and amazing facilities with a view that is not rivalled in my opinion! Loved it.
