Friendly staff, room is spacey, clean and quiet. Breakfast is simple but good. Facilities are basic. Good internet!

A very quaint, modern and comfortable facility. Absolutely no complaints about this place. The staff were friendly, the location felt safe, secure and very relaxing. I would have stayed longer if I had not already made other plans!

Helpful friendly staff . Rooms basic but clean. Fab view from the top floor. Next to a busy road so not quite as tranquil as it might seem. Need hire car or taxi as there is nothing within walking distance - no shops, cafes, just a small group of houses and sugar cane fields. Lovely kayak up to the waterfall, about 20 mins each way. Nice small pool to relax at.

Wonderful place with outstanding service! We (a family of four) stayed there for three nights. It is a small and quiet place, but with two small pools and right next to the river. They have kayaks you can use for free and take a trip to the waterfall (10 min. in kayak) - with monkeys filling the trees along the river and bats flying over your head. The manager and owner is always around and he and his staff takes such good care of everybody. The breakfast is rather simple by international standards, but fresh and well-made. Every night the also cook a nice local dinner for a very low price (all you can eat for 300 rupees/person incl. a small dessert). The location requires a car, but it is very close to Ile aux Cerf and some of the other great beaches. You can be picked up at the hotel by boot and go directly - just ask the manager.

Nice location to chill for a few days.. Good view from the balcony and relaxing seats to hang out near the river. Not much in the area if you plan on walking around though.

What I did not like is the fact that we were told we were not able to eat inside the room and would have to use the balcony to eat. It would be fine to enjoy the scenery outside but I would expect chairs and tables in the balcony if they are going to put silly policies. Also, the staff lost customer service points when we were getting kicked out of the hotel by 10am when check out is clearly 12pm. We were told there was another person waiting for the room and we only had 10 mins to leave. After talking to the manager, he apologized and tried to cover up for his their mistake by saying it was a misunderstanding.

EvaZion is situated on the east coast of Mauritius, so away from the very developed and busy part of this island, the west and north coasts. I had a very pleasing welcome from the owner Jean-Claude, briefly toured the grounds, then to my very clean room. This was very large with a pleasant view of the river inlet and the sea, there was an excellent hot shower, very comfortable large bed, a fridge and satellite TV. The only item missing was a small table on which to use my computer. The 2 evening meals, cooked by a local lady, were excellent. All told, a lovely hotel, well managed and very quiet. My only slight dissatisfaction was with the breakfast, which was fairly basic. If you want to go about the island, you have to accept that Deux Freres is somewhat remote. It is an hours drive from the airport and an hour at least to most other places. Local busses run frequently enough along the coast road. Internet was free and reasonably fast.

The location is actually more inconvenient than expected. Bus stop is right opposite the hotel. The room is comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is also nice. The hotel can arrange a private boat to go to Ile aux cerfs in a reasonable price. It's a good choice if you would like to stay in bed he east of Mauritius.

We had a pleasant stay en very good breakfast and dinner. It was Nancy's birthday on the day of arrival and the owner surprised her with a lovely cake.

The hosts Jean-Claude and Franciss and their staff are lovely and will go out of their way to accommodate to your needs. Jean-Claude is very knowledgeable about Mauritius always ready with suggestions of best trips to make. If you appreciate staying at a place that is run from the heart this is it as you feel very much at home and not at an impersonal business hotel.

The people there were nice and helpful, the complimentary breakfast was simple and nice.

The stay was great for a 3 star. Very friendly staff. Awesome service. Always there to help. Best value for money. Great swimming pool. Improvements: the bed we had was a bit old, noisy and the mattress springs were very close to popping out.They may also consider changing the bowls for serving breakfast and changing the menu a bit if possible. Bowls with lids would help to save the food from flies - this is very unhygienic.Otherwise this is a great place. I would recommend people to go there. Very great for a family as well.

We really enjoyed our stay here , theres nothing I can complain about, though the location is a bit off from the touristic area, but youll be able to connect with locals, enjoy kayaking provides by the owner, and having home-made dinner with the family.
