We checked in around 9:00pm for a two night stay. It was VERY hot in our room because the A/C had been turned off. When we turned it on it was making a LOUD continuous noise. We waited for almost an hour before it became so overwhelmingly loud we could not handle it anymore. We asked for another room and they said they were all booked and we should try and sleep without the A/C until they could get someone to work on it the next day. After another 30 minutes we said we couldn’t stay any longer and asked if we left would they refund us. The lady at the front desk said she was going to let the manager know how awful it was and get them to refund us our $386. We then left to go somewhere else. They then REFUSED to give us a refund.

I’m a local resident and was trying to get away from home for peace and quietness for one night. When I went to check in, the clerk told me that I needed an address that was 50 miles out because they do not do business with local resident because Alexandria is so a high crime rate and people come there to steal. I did not give that address so she made up one. This rudeness affective my whole night. I could not enjoy my stay. I left three hours later because I did not feel welcome or trusted. I will not be staying at another Holiday Inn local or away. I hope this was not a racial issue from this clerk. When I booked on Hotel.com, it was not mention that this business does not rent to local residents.

Check-in was terrible. Arrived at 2:15 pm and asked to check in early and told "No I can't do that and your room won't be ready until 3:30pm, maybe 3:20, she's fast." Then she left the check-in area. Told her that we had to be somewhere by 3. We came back at 3, which is when check-in is suppose to occur and she still didn't have a clean room for us. She left again. Another much nicer woman started her shift and was very helpful in trying to find us another room. Then the first woman came back and told her she couldn't move us to another room, so the second woman went to check on our room herself. The first woman left the hotel??? We finally were able to get into our room at 3:30, the floors were still wet in the entry and the bathroom, but the room was clean. The woman working the breakfast area was very nice and very friendly. We were gone for most of the day, returned to our room at 8 pm and the room had not been touched, no bed made, no fresh towels, nothing. My husband went to the front desk and was told that "you have to tell them during check-in if you want daily maid service"???? No signs anywhere, nothing on the online check-in states anything about informing the hotel that we wanted daily maid service. She gave my husband a pile of towels. We were not impressed by this hotel.

Landscape was beautiful. Easy access from the main road. Plenty of space to park.

I would like for the staff to have better customer service and for them to clean the room better

Staff was very friendly. Hotel was more run down than I expected. In my room coffee had been spilled on bathroom floor and in the sink. There were toe nail clippings in bathroom floor.

Very clean and nice. They have Dove brand soap, shampoo and condition.

Air conditioner was not working remote was not working due to no maintenance being on shift to come out my daughter has a game and she was uncomfortable with out any air

The lady that did the breakfast was very friendly & made sure the customers got what they needed also the manager Lucy was very sweet she even gave me a ride to get something to eat. Housekeeping was not so good, I had to ask for my garbage to be picked up & for toilet paper & I was there for 11 days & room was only cleaned once

The most unpleasant thing about my experience was not finding on either side a solution to the overbooking, be it a hotel.com or a holiday inn after 3 1/2 of a trip and two minors with me, it is incredible how much they lack solutions and professionalism were you Hotel.con and Holiday inn in my confrontation

Our TV didn't work. We called the front desk. She told us she would come up but no one ever showed. I went downstairs to purchase waters for the night, and the woman at the desk was sleeping. When we arrived I waited at the front desk to be checked in for several minutes, only to find the employee chit chatting on the couch. The property was satisfactory and the room was clean. My issue was with the staff member who checked us in and was there that night.

Great hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accomodating. The carpet in hallway needs to be replaced.

Best breakfast I’ve had in years! Full menu and very yummy! So many options to choose from. The cinnamon rolls are the best! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Super clean!

We were here only one night in order to attend a family wedding. The staff were courteous and accommodating. Room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was good with a good selection. We would definitely stay again!

I couldn’t drive to Pineville to stay. I was in the Er earlier and didn’t feel safe to drive. Couldn’t get my refund.

Easy check in. Clean rooms, great air conditioning.

The room was nice but the AC left much to be desired. The room got nice and cool but the humidity stayed. The room was cold and damp. We got very little service; such as restocking towels and toilet paper and emptying trash cans.
