The owner and her assistants are truly great hosts. The location is simply perfect to walk around the town and just a few blocks away from restaurants and pubs. The breakfast was very nice and hearty enough for the day’s walk. Somewhat close to Lanercost Abbey as the departure point towards the section of Hadrian’s Wall in Brampton

This was the perfect spot for our first stop along the way to Edinburgh. After a long drive from LHR, we arrived to a warm welcome in a cozy, restored inn. Absolutely lovely with a fire, a cozy room and a welcoming hostess who answered all of our questions. The inn is located within walking distance to shops and local eateries. I would definitely stay here again. Just lovely.

Great B&B and thoroughly recommended if walking or cycling the Hadrian’s Way. Rooms are modern and well appointed and the honesty bar is very relaxed and comfortable. Safe and secure cycle storage was a welcome addition. Will definitely be staying here again.

Our host could not have been more welcoming and accommodating- really made us feel at home which was great after a long drive. The room and facilities overall were excellent the only thing missing was a fan as it was a warm night even with the big window wide open. We slept well and this didn’t detract from a great stay.

Lovely location right in the heart of Brampton. Would make a perfect location for easy access to the Scottish boarders, Yorkshire Dales, North Pennines and the Lake District but not forgetting its located next to some of the best locations on Hadrian's wall. Could not fault the food and the hostess was found to be very friendly and knowledgeable. Respected covid 19 measures during our stay. Only slight niggle was the some road noise which was a minor issue as it reduced as the evening went on. Overall a very pleasant stay and nice to see such a well presented location.

An excellent stay with warm welcome and great accommodation. This is a great place to stay if you are wanting split your journey from north of south as it’s not that far from the M6. We will be back that’s for sure

The location, room, breakfast and help from the owner was excellent! The bed was slightly firmer than I prefer but my husband liked its firmness. I noticed in other reviews that someone noted noise from the road, yes when we had the window open there was noise from the road but when we shut it no noise. We did open the back bathroom window as we like a room a bit cool when we sleep and that worked perfectly. The owner was very helpful with directions to the World Heritage site.

It's charming, well stocked, and the staff are extremely attentive. The only issue, if you could call it that, was traffic noise in the morning, but we had a room overlooking the street so that couldn't really be helped.

The rooms are spacious, quiet, clean and nice simple furniture. For a couple of nights to go walking it was perfect, this is not a holiday destination. A small glitch for me was the heavy duvets, any European visitors must wonder what is in them, not down! A tiny thing ; No where to put your wash bag in the bathroom. But the bed was comfortable and lovely clean crisp white bedding. Breakfast had lots of choice but no cooking. My husband says I am being harsh. It was all fine.

Looks on the outside can be deceptive!... on arrival, it doesn’t look fancy or exciting, however on entry you have a charming mix of history with a very modern twist. Lovely bar/lounge area, checked in at the bar by a young man, who was polite, enthusiastic helpful. He showed us to our room which was room 3. The room was a twin booked for my daughter and myself, it was spacious, bright, very clean and modern. Beds comfortable and a very well thought out bathroom with shower over full bath. After a very comfortable nights sleep, we arrived for breakfast. Warmly greeted by two pleasant ladies. It certainly was a FULL continental breakfast. With a wonderful choice to suit anyone. Cereals, cold meats, cheese, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, freshly baked breads etc, and fresh juices, tea and coffee. Booked by chance, but a lovely surprise. Very comfortable room and sumptuous breakfast which was both light and delcious.
