Gorgeous area. Adorable cabins. Free roaming chickens and lots of lawn games. Hot tub wasn't working correctly and coffee maker in the room didn't work. Self check-in was convenient, but made it a little difficult to ask for assistance. A very pleasant place to stay and one I would look for again.

The room did not have a working heater so they brought us space heaters, which was very odd instead of putting us in another room, but I have a feeling none of their heaters were working. There also was not a hairdryer in the room and we tried to go get one but there was nobody in the office until 9 AM a little late for hairdryer by then We had to leave after one night because of fires in the area, they weren’t evacuating, but there was no place to go.

No face to face contact with anyone which is fine but the office sign was on.. we rang the bell and no one ever came. Two minutes later the light went off. We had three people and only two towels in the room. Nothing in the room with WiFi passwords or how to contact anyone. It just wasn’t for us. The beds were too soft for our backs. Could hear people walking above us. The air conditioner to the other room was so loud you could hear it through the walls. It’s fine for a small motel.

It was the perfect spot for a quick stay. Joseph at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and the town of Dubois and especially the National Museum of Military Vehicles.

Fantastic stay if only we had time to stay longer! Dining options. Charming place offering a river dip, hot tub, fire ring, free-range chickens, yard games, and the friendliest staff I experienced in a month of traveling! Town has amenities which are few and far between. A few dining options. Rooms clean and comfortable!

Loved staying at the Chinook Winds. It is a great place with a very friendly staff and very cozy grounds. They offer cold pop in the office. I went looking for a Dr. Pepper (the only pop worth drinking) and they happened to be out at that time. I was disappointed, but then Joshua stepped in and saved the day by finding some Dr. Pepper in the back room!!! Thanks Joshua for making it an awesome stay!! Would definitely recommend this hotel to stay at!

Cute rustic room. Very clean and comfortable. What really nice about this property. It's set up like a park. Some games and a place for a bon fire. Very close to the town. Yet it's located off the main strip. No air conditioning. Room included a ceiling fan and a mobile fan. Only aspect that I was disappointed with. They do not provide enough morning coffee for the guests. It was gone 8 am

The rooms are on the smaller side, but very clean and you can tell the property is well cared for. The communal firepit, BBQ, rec area is really lovely. It's right off the main road heading to/from Dubois depending on which direction you're driving from, and it's a quick drive into town for food/museums. The staff was lovely both times I stayed here. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in Dubois again.

This lodge was wonderful. We were going to be late to check in and the employee on the phone helped us out. The room was very clean and the decor was great. The hot tub was great to end our evening. Liked that there was a campfire, corn hole, and Jenga even though we didn't have a chance to use. We would stay here again!

The room had no air conditioning, temp was 98. The bed caved in the middle, very uncomfortable. The area was sketchy at best. The towels felt like sandpaper, very rough. The shower was so small and dark that my husband & myself opted not to shower. Will not return or recommend. We suggest that you keep going down the road there are MUCH better options!!

Single old guy and not picky at all but the window did not have a cover. Had to use the TV and my bad to cover so no one could look in. Also had to work on the bathroom window to close the blind. Didn’t mind that that maintenance had to come over to open the door because the lock stuck or that 2x4’s were used to hold up the furniture, but the window needs a blind or longer curtains! Knew it was a no thrills room based on price but curtains are cheap!

The web site gave us the impression that we would have all of the amenities. In reality our room was small, very basic and had no air conditioning. After the emotional adjustment that we were not getting what we expected the stay was very enjoyable.

100 degree weather, no air conditioner….Joseph said “it is what it is”….for $230 you should have air conditioning or offered a different room. He said we get a full refund but we’ll see.

Loved our stay in the cute quiet lodge! Rooms were clean, new TV, bed on the softer side. Grounds are lovely, you can sit in chairs by the river, lay in the hammock, enjoy the hot tub, play corn hole, visit the chicken coop, or sit by the evening camp fire. Highly recommend if you find yourself in the area.

A cozy lodge nestled along the river. The staff are warm and welcoming. The room was just what we needed after a visiting Yellowstone and the Grand Teton Parks. The lodge is pet friendly, and made our pup feel at home too. Check in was very easy. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend staying here if you are seeking a restorative pause on a long road trip.

One of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at! Staff were super friendly and took the time to talk to me and get to know me and the room was clean and homey and felt like a peaceful cabin in the woods This one was hard to leave but I will be back!

Property was quaint staff very helpful. Shower was a bit small and there is no air conditioner in our room which we were not expecting. Fortunately it was very cool the night we were there so we didn’t need one.
