Check in was efficient. Our room was very clean and both the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was better than expected and a pleasant surprise. Overall, an excellent budget choice for a hotel.

We a stay at the John Hotel when we are in town for a Mets game. It is a (relatively) short walk to the ballpark. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. It is in the hearts of Chinatown, so there is lots to see and eat around the hotel.

Decent hotel with some upgraded areas. Breakfast was serviceable. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was remodelled.

This is my go to hotel for NYC stays. Near the 7 subway, and the bus to and from LaGuardia airport. Also near the public library and the post office. Small rooms, but clean, and the coffee in tbe morning is good.

Wish they could use individually packaged butter and peanut butter for breakfast would be perfect. it would be more hygienic

When i arrived in NYC i phoned hotel bout how to unload (no area in front) and parking. Staff person could not offer any help. We ended up parking in traffic with emergency flashers and went inside where another staff person told us of parking 1/2 block away for $24.95. Hotel and room was very clean. It was very noisy on our floor with lots of talking and doors closing. There was very lil insulation between us and outside door. Could hear everything. At 7am the loud noise started outside as there was construction going on across the street. As far as breakfast, very little offerings with mostly bread and signs hanging Do not Waste food.

Absolute waste of money and the property not fit for stay. The front office staff were very rude and not even willing to listen to what you want say. Breakfast, another major issue. Empty juice cans even as early as at 8.30 am and request for refill goes unnoticed. Not worth at all.

The hotel was average. The room was pretty clean, the beds were comfortable. The shower hardly had any water pressure so showers took a long time to rinse shampoo, conditioner and soap off. Complimentary breakfast was ok, nothing great. Noise was minimal.

This is my go to hotel for flying out of LaGuardia ! Good breakfast. Excellent transfer opportunities. Love the restaurants around. Good bed, thick towels.

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, which made my stay comfortable from the moment I arrived. The rooms were tidy, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping everything fresh and neat during my stay. One of the biggest perks was how convenient the location was. The hotel is close to multiple transportation options, including subway and bus lines, making it easy to get around the city or explore different areas of New York.

The perfect location for either a Mets game, or catching the US Open. Walking distance to Flushing Meadows. Felt safe in the neighbourhood too.

The front of the building had their trash cans there, the lobby was a small plexiglass window with two customer service reps sitting side by side, rooms were very low budget, only provided one pillow per person on the bed, desk had a card table type chair, poor decor in the room. This was very disappointing for me, especially considering the price that I paid. We only stayed for one night and had to find more acceptable lodging. I have always trusted Expedia for my travel, but John Hotel was totally unacceptable.

Very clean. Close to transit. Lots of dining options nearby. Will look forward to re-visit next year’s US Open 2025

The staff was very friendly & courteous. The room was large & bed was comfortable. An adequate breakfast was served, boiled eggs, sausage, cereal, juice, fruits & a variety of bread products. In the room there was a refrigerator, microwave, single serve Keurig & an electric tea pot. One block away was a mall with a food court& around the block there were many restaurants within walking distance. It was pleasant & affordable.

This is a good place to stay if you are looking for the bare basics. Three things I will give them credit for is cleanliness and the sense of security. The room was clean and smells fresh. The bathroom was comfortable and very clean. It is in a safe neighborhood and you can walk around the streets. Just watch out for cars. Also the room was quiet and beds were comfortable. Nothing fancy but a nice place for a night. Breakfast was very basic continental style but filled the empty spot.

We were pleasantly surprised with the place. Likes: We very much liked the location! Chinatown is right around the corner For the price, the hotel was very nice. Would totally recommend the John to friends.

The rooms and hotel are very clean. Walking distant to Billie Jean King and Arthur Ashe Center. Very basic rooms beds were not very comfortable but it served it's purpose. I would stay again if less days. 6 days were too many days for this hotel for me. Need a little more comfort.

It’s skin good location close to Prince Street. Lots of Asian restaurants, boba, dessert places nearby. Hotel room was clean. TV had all the cable channels you want. There’s a small fridge & microwave as well. They offer free breakfast. I’ve stayed there 3 years in a row to attend the aye Open.

15 minute walk to train and good value

Our room was clean and quiet. Extra towels provided. It’s a no frills hotel but the amenities provided were nice and everything was as promised. Price and location were excellent. A great value for the money. Asked for an iron and got one promptly. Car service arranged was prompt and reliable and affordable. $45 to JFK.

Nice hotel, clean and service is good. I had left my purse by accident, they called me as i did not realize i left it behind. Was very thankful. Room was clean and comfortable.

I enjoyed our one night stay. The room was very clean, better than expected. Only downfall I would say is the bed was very very uncomfortable. Pillows as well. Queen bed with 2 sleepers and 2 pillows, needed more. The bed itself was very uncomfortable, had a cot-like feel to it. Woke up in am with back pain. Usually sleep great in hotels with upscale bedding. Other than that this place was great, nice simple breakfast. Staff was very nice. Would definitely stay here again when in area.

Very convenient to US Open!

Great location for walking to US Open. The variety at breakfast was good. The shower was excellent. Mattress and pillows very firm. In the middle of large Chinatown with lots of food options.

Like the footage of the room, but air conditioning is very loud. Breakfast is same every day and just ok. Employees at front desk are not very friendly.
