Overall, this place has a lot of great qualities to it. It's a very clean, contemporary space with very inviting communal areas. I stayed in a private room and it was better than most hostels I've stayed at. The staff is very friendly and helpful in arranging day tours. I really appreciated the property's proximity to the metro station and La Ronda for food options. The biggest drawback to this place (and what would stop me from staying there again) is the bar area blasts music very loudly until 10:30 or so. This happened every night I stayed there. On one Saturday night, someone had rented out the venue to host a birthday party and the music didn't end until after midnight. I understand it's nice to have multiple uses/streams of income with the property, but I think there needs to be a better balance between an evening social space and a quiet living space for guests to stay.

The building is beautiful and very well kept. Staff were great, shoutout to Grace, Nathalie, Adrian, Jonathan and Daniel. Would recommend to all.

The building is lovely; the location is not. Way too much street noise to be able to sleep. If you're interested in meeting kind & friendly staff & foreign travelers & staying in a beautiful historic building with a lovely courtyard at a very reasonable rate, this is the place for you. But if you need quiet to sleep, it is not.

Huge studio room perfect for a family of 4. Common areas are clean with lots of options for activities. Location is perfect for wandering the historic district during the day with many restaurant options, including in the hostel, at night. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Being in an old building, the walls are pretty thin and the floors creak so if you are a light sleeper be sure to bring ear plugs

Beautiful, huge hostel with its own on-site restaurant/bar. The food was superb. The rooms were large and very clean. Excellent location in the Historical District. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This place can definitely get loud so if you are looking for quiet it may not be the one for you.

Lovely place, great vibe hostel with loads to do and nice spaces to relax and play games and socialise. Room was very large and comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly. Could refill water with filtered water for free.
Our only small complaints were:
1) it says breakfast is included on hotels.com, but the hotel did not honour this and just said it wasn’t.
2) the room was quite cold with no heating option.
3) limited gluten free option for breakfast.

I LOVED my room and it was very reasonably priced. Great location, beautiful building (hardwoods, traditional style), helpful staff and free activities such as a walking tour and coffee tasting! They also have a garden to relax in with a small bar and restaurant. Bliss! I was sad too my be staying 2 nights!

Although property is undergoing restoration it was comfortable and safe. Breakfast was great and available in downstairs cafe. Loved they had something on each evening eg coffee or chocolate tastings

Location is in the inner city. Very noisy. But easy access to lots of restaurants/shopping. The hostel is clean and spacious with quaint nooks and social areas. High security. Staff is beyond amazing. Friendly & helpful. Enjoyed our stay there.

The hostel was very safe and excellently located to the many historical sites. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. The hostel restaurant is a hidden gem, and the multiple outside space lounging areas are awesome. Facilities were ok, and could use a few repairs/renovations (ie. water stains on the wall, leaky toilet, old towels) Otherwise, the place ha great for someone looking to spend most of the day outside and just need a place to lay their head down in a safe, clean, and simple environment.

Great place, cozy and nice shared spaces and well kept up property. Good restaurant inside too! Reception is very helpful and had good info!Hot water and WiFi worked great. Be aware no heating in rooms but we had no problem.Be aware the Centro Historico neighborhood can be somewhat dangerous at night, we saw one person get their phone snatched in front of the hostel; so just take a taxi at night and dont flash your valuables.

We had an amazing experience. The staff were really friendly and made sure we were safe during our time exploring the city. The room was really spacious. The Masaya restaurant is also really good, there was a live band playing and the food was delicious!

This was a pleasant place to stay in the historic district and is not far from some pretty parts of old Quito. The rooms and bathrooms were larger than I expected. The cafe in the hotel also had some good, affordable food. The staff was helpful as well. The decor in the building with the painted walls was fun. The only downside is that we had a rental car and picked this hotel because it was one of the few in Quito that listed parking as an amenity. However, they don't have hotel parking. There is a separate paid parking structure around the block, so we had a place to park for extra cost, but then had to walk our bags quite a way to get into the building (it's awkward pulling luggage up a steep, big city street at night). We enjoyed our stay once we got into the building.

Excellent location in Quito with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Very accomodating in light of the pandemic and even helped us with COVID testing before our return flight.

Hotel was ok. If you want to visit the historical Colonial side of Quito. However, the people at the hotel was not of help, they seemed oblivious of their surroundings. Did not offer any suggestions for restaurants, parking, places to visit, safety...just terrible. The interior of the hotel is well taken care of.

Wonderful reconverted old house with lots of character, in the old town of Quito. Staff are enthusiastic and helpful. Very comfortable private room.

Loved our stay great little hostel that also has private rooms. One small con is there’s no fans to help circulate air. The free breakfast is light but great especially when you’re on the go. Service of staff was superior. We were told by locals that the surrounding area is not the safest but the hostel has great precautionary measures in place.

Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, and a great location in the middle of the old city. The private rooms are very comfortable and the dorms have pod-like bunks. Both have very comfortable beds. Great stay overall.

I enjoyed our 3 night stay. Our room was huge. It could have used a comfortable chair. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and the outdoor area was very pleasant. The staff was professional and helpful. It’s very conveniently located with an easy walk to most everything in the Centro Historico.

Walked by Masaya while staying at another nearby hostel and was drawn in to check it out. I loved the look of it so much we decided to stay here 3 nights in total while in quito over a weeka time. I've travelled extensively and think this place is an absolute gem. A beautiful colonial building renovated with a very cool design aesthetic. Very Reasonably priced. The staff is super helpful and kind but it seems they are understaffed at times, particularly in the restaurant.
