The concierge made an excellent dinner recommendation and were very helpful in arranging transportation.

We enjoyed the location and aesthetic of the hotel, however our sheets and pillowcases had some stains on them and one of our towels was ripped when we received it. Upon arrival we were not asked to present any documents and were given basic information verbally from the concierge, but we were not informed of the need to pay city taxes and breakfast fees at checkout. While I could have checked this in my booking, it would have been helpful after 2 weeks of traveling in different places to be reminded of an extra fees we had not already paid for. Therefore we ended up paying much more breakfast there than we would have in town and had to arrange payments after our stay ended. We could have learned this at check-out, but when we were on our way out to catch our train there was no one in the lobby or at the front desk to speak to. Need to improve communication with clients.

I can't say enough good things about my stay at Hotel Paul. First of all, I rarely book a "2 star" and to be honest, from the outside it did not look promising. But I had fallen for the photo of the garden in the listing: and the garden is magnificent! AND so was everything else! Felt like newly refurbished/designed hotel, immaculate, welcoming, quiet, comfortable, non-smoking, eco-conscious etc. Seriously, I personally would give it four stars.

This is not a fancy hotel but it was comfortable, excellent value for money and in a great location. It was perfect for our purposes (we were passing through Aix for one night).

Room was clean but lacking basic things like hairdryer. Street quite loud. The hotel is quite run down

המיקום של המלון טוב מאד, קרוב למרכז העיר, הצוות ידידותי ושרותי מאד. הבניין כולו מתקלף וכמובן שאין מזגן.יש 3 סוגים של חדרים: 1. הפונים לרחוב זה ממש מכה , הרעש נוראיהסוג השני והיקר יותר פונים לחלק פנימי. פחות רועש אבל החלון של השכנים היה במרחק מטר אחד מהחלון שלנו. שומעים וכמובן רואים אנשים כולל הורדת מים השרותים וכו.הסוג השלישי פונים לגן, אותם לא ניסינו.בבוקר האוכל שנשאר על השולחן התמלא בנמלים

A small, quirky room ... but comfortable! Centrally located in Aix-en-Provence. Viktor (owner) advised that he had recently acquired the property and was in the process of renovating it. He and his staff were the epitome of what you hope your hotel staff will be!

Very convenient location, just outside "old town", but still very quiet and very friendly staff!

The reception desk is quite different from the photo on the site. When we arrived at the hotel, the front door was closed with the memo on the door, which said 'will come back in 10 min' and we waited for 30 min. However, the hotel man was very kind to carry our luggages to the room and inform us of the city. The hotel has a beautiful small garden where you can enjoy your small breakfast in the sunshine. The room was kind of tiny but it was ok.

The stay was ok. The room was very basic. The first night was fine. On the second night, we couldn’t sleep until past midnight because there were noise from the room above us. The hotel Manager charged us additional 3.80 euros for additional taxes. We didn’t realized that we had already paid when we made the reservation.

Very close to points of interest in old town. Very amiable and accommodating service, clean room, but mediocre shower.
