Hot tub was broken, not enough seating in breakfast area

I am leaving a review due to what was ultimately a very poor customer-service experience. I spoke with front desk about switching the date of a reservation, and though the person I spoke with was helpful, it was a bit of a back and forth between them and Expedia. I received confirmation from both the hotel itself and Expedia that I’d be able to go ahead with the date change, but ultimately, Expedia communicated to me that the hotel went back on their word, would not change the date, and would offer no refund. I don’t typically leave reviews like this, but I felt the treatment was unfair and unacceptable, so here I am. Pass if you are hoping for good customer service.

Convenient location for what we needed and the kids loved the pool and water slide. We had a HUGE room with 2 queen beds, super comfy. Cute, well maintained, property with a BBQ area and other outdoor seating areas. The staff was wonderful, breakfast was great, though we missed out on the bacon (shhh, don't tell the kids). There is a gas station and Tim Hortons across the parking lot. Had a great conversation with the kid at the gas station. Would definitely stay here again

Easy to access. My only comment , which seems somewhat petty is that the toilet tissue is like newspaper and doesn't match with the level of the rest of the presentation

Fantastic front staff and morning cook. Very clean room and the pool was awesome.

Loved our stay!

Super clean and efficient hotel.

Unfortunately the hot tub was broken for the entire 6 nights we were there which was a major seller in us booking this hotel. The waterslide and pool were great. When we got into our room there was dried blood on the blankets which was really disgusting, we had to get new bedding. The staff at the front desk were really nice. The older lady who works the breakfast in the morning was horrible and so rude and kept arguing with the hotel guests telling them to get out of her way and if we wanted to eat to move and kept huffing and puffing whenever she made a move. She was super unpleasant and definitely needs to be reprimanded, very unacceptable when we are paying upwards of $250 per night this is not the treatment guests should get. The outside of the building and the rest of it were really nice. The rooms could definitely use some work, there was pet hair stuck on the carpets and walls of our room along with the dried blood, not great. Also we had requested toilet paper 3 times before we finally got some for our room when we went down to get it.

The stay was awesome

Good basic accommodation. Breakfast is included, but if you want caffeine-free or gluten-free options, bring your own. I forgot my phone charging cable and adaptor in my room. I called to enquire about it, but did not get it back.

Good stay. Pool was fun but the hot tub went out of service. Waterslide is fast! Staff are friendly and let us check in an hour early. Overall a good stay.

A clean option with an outdoor propane bbq, ample parking, liquor store sharing the parking lot and Tims in front of the hotel. Highly satisfied

Great rooms at a great price

It was a nice hotel - unfortunately our room was close to the pool entrance so it was very loud as people came and went from the pool/fitness area. At night is when it was the biggest problem.

Located close to Ladysmith just off hwy 1. We were assigned a room on the first floor, close to the pool and fitness center and it was quite noisy from traffic in the hall.

Great hotel if you are en route between Nanaimo and Victoria. Our room was clean and spacious with two queen beds. Dove products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap) are provided. Free breakfast featured scrambled eggs, sausage links, pastries, bagels, oranges, yogurt, cereal and oatmeal.

Staff was really nice. The hotel rooms were pretty clean, there was some black stuff around the drain in the sink and the overflow valve. The only complaints I have is that it was quite loud you can hear the people above you very easily and the tub when you’re showering or people above you are showering sounds like it going to fall through the floor, there was also a group of loud young boys that were unsupervised in the pool area that caused us to leave. Other than that the stay was pretty good.
