This hotel is beautiful, and in an adorable village. The people were so incredibly friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was delicious as were the drinks. The beds were also very comfortable! Would absolutely stay here again.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From beginning to end of our stay it was impeccable. The hotel is spotless and comfortable. The staff are efficient and friendly. The food is second to none. It’s no surprise it’s hard to secure a room because it’s always fully booked. Now I know why 😊😊

We chose this property because it was halfway between Belfast and the Dublin airport. But we were pleasantly surprised at a) how nice the hotel was b) how nice the town was and most of all c) how nice the staff were. You don't need long to see the whole town but it looked like they had some good adventure type activities. This hotel would be a great place to stay for a few nights. Would highly recommend

The hotel is actually lovely and we had two generally very pleasant nights. The only downside was there was a bit of a smell from the shower waste water pipes which despite the best efforts of the housekeeping staff was not fully resolved.

This place is an absolute gem! Management and staff honestly couldn’t not have been nicer or more helpful. The restaurant on location is FABULOUS, like best one in the town! We had the seafood chowder and it was one of the best I’ve had in my life. Will definitely be back!

Only area needing improvement was breakfast,.No cereals, fruit juices or yogurts were available. The cooked breakfast was overcooked, but to start with the sausages. Pudding were of an inferior quality. This is a pity and the only are that let the hotel down.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, staff were great. The room was spotless and the shower was one of the best I have used in a hotel.I am coeliac but this was not an issue for the chef. Ithe breakfast was great and the baked hake was beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel

Just home from two great nights in Carlingford with my better half. The town is quaint, clean and friendly, and there's plenty to do, especially if you have a car. Mc Kevitts staff were very welcoming, and the room, although quite small, was clean, with a really powerful en suite shower, something I lack at home, so enjoy when available. The small, non-smart television may have been acceptable if it wasn't for the sound quality, being akin to listening to someones headphones on the bus. Sorry, but it was quite frankly not fit for purpose. Luckily we had good enough weather to spend most of our time on the go, but if for whatever reason, you're inclined to watch TV in a hotel, try somewhere else. The breakfast was equally disappointing, I'm sorry to say. The sausages and bacon both tasted off. We skipped it on the second morning. Overall, I cannot recommend avoiding Mc Kevitts, as the standard of accommodation in Carlingford is a very mixed bag, and the convenient central location cannot be ignored. I do however hope they will at some point in the future provide their guests with a decent television, and a decent breakfast. It's not a lot to ask for, especially at these prices.

This hotel is good value for money with great Food in the Pub below.
