Great Central location and very clean with fresh towels and toiletries supplied. Staff were also very helpful as we needed to store some mountain bikes securely.

The location is excellent. Walking distance to everything in Carlingford town centre. The hostess was lovely, friendly, and welcoming. Fantastic value for money for a quick night away.

The Oystercatcher is right in the heart of Carlingford and convenient to everything the area has to offer. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. I have stayed here in several occasions and look forward to staying again the next time I am in Ireland.

I personally love to hear people enjoying themselves at night but some may not like the noise after hours.

Carlingford is a party town at night. We had two bus loads of “hen” partiers that were outside our windows til 3:00am.

Property is right in the centre of town, so everything was very near. We had no worries with cars/taxis etc. Also liked the tea/coffee making facilities in the room, along with microwave. If you didn't feel like going out for a meal, it would have been possible to get a takeaway.

My wife kept complaining about an unpleasant smell, although I couldn't smell it! Windows were cloudy from the blown double glazing, which made the room look grubby even though it wasn't. No fans or aircon to cool the room on the hottest day of the year. Fixtures and fittings pretty tired, but clean and functional.

The location of the hotel was amazing - it couldn't be any better. Shops, pubs and restaurants are all on your doorstep. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. We had to leave a day early and it was no issue at all - very accommodating.

I found the room was quite dated and could benefit with some new furniture. On first impressions the wooden floor in the room wasn't in good condition. It's very evident that it's been there a long time and because of that it's extremely worn and makes the room look grubby. There was a red leather couch in the room that was stained - again, just added to the grubby feeling.

The staff and lady owner Denise Went up and beyond offering extra blankets and water bottles for my 88 year-old mother . Could not recommend enough and also pet friendly for my sisters little puddle dog. Ozzy.
