Vila Lacman was perfect for our stay. It is up a steep hill so if you have walking difficulties it may not be for you. But it is only a 10 minute, very safe walk up hill from Hvar Town. From the room we had we had a beautiful view across the town and harbour. And the lady who run the Vila was delightful.

Lovely venue - good if you are just looking for some simple accomodation within 10 min walk to the main town.

We stayed for four nights. The room was clean bright and airy with great views from the balcony. Excellent facilities provided and use of shared kitchen. The bathroom was great and the bed really comfortable. The proximity to beaches and town and various bars and restaurants was a decent walk away ( in various directions!). And there was a small grocery store 200 m away for the less mobile or energetic. Our hosts were helpful and charming. They very kindly provided beach towels which was a nice unexpected touch.

Only a short walk uphill (and up steps!) … but on the positive side you are halfway up to the fortress path only a short 5 minute (flat) walk away! The family is very kind and very precise. We enjoyed our stay, the small balcony, hotpot & dishes (bring your own coffee/tea). Short walk to grocery too! Great views from balcony. Lovely stay.

Great room, beautiful view and clean.

It was such a nice stay for me! I loved the quiet location and the neighbourhood felt safe. The room was nice and I especially enjoyed my own balcony. Will definitely stay here again next time I visit Hvar, all in all it was a five star experience!

We had a great stay here - excellent location with a great view and the owners are very friendly and helpful!

A real family home turned family hostel just far enough away from the centre to escape the hum of party music but a short walk from the beautiful coastline. The owners are available and kind, but never intrusive, open to sharing stories about the country and their lives, finding you a cup of tea, or giving recommendations on what to see and do. Come in November if you want some free lemons, grown right over the well equipped kitchen and barbecue which is available for use. The rooms are cleaned daily, comfortable, well maintained, with pleasant balconies, a small fridge, utensils for breakfast, and an air conditioner. There's a first aid kit by the door and a cat close by at all times. It feels like nothing is missing. A treat overall, at all times.

Distance to the town was a nice short walk, a bit hilly though. Owners were very friendly and the property was amazing and clean.

The host was so friendly and helpful. The apartment clean and we really enjoyed the big balcony! The place has a great location close to the beach and town.

Great stay close to the city center (down-hill). Lovely people. Clean and comfortable stay. Little fridge in the room for convenience. Quite a bit of stairs to the room but the view was great. Felt a bit like a hostel with all the rules (including fines) hanging on the walls in the room but I guess that is needed... There is no private parking next to the complex, but there are some public spots and further away you have more options.

We would like to thank the owners of Villa Lacman for our lovely stay this week. The room was faultless, impeccably clean and tidy and in a great location, only 5-10 min walk from all the restaurants and bars. Croatian hospitality is second to none and we cannot wait to return!

What a view

Great place with modern feel and friendly owners. Short walk to Hvar town and nearby beaches. Opportunity to borrow outside kitchen area for brekfast for example.

Awesome friendly hosts, clean and tidy apartment, wonderful view from the balcony, comfy big bed and all amenities you would need. Also very close to the town centre and nearby beaches.

The location is slightly further away from the parties, although one night we could hear the music even from our room, but it also was a Saturday night, which is understandable. We prefer silence & we don't party, so it depends on what matters to you personally when you decide to stay in Hvar. The room was lovely with a nice spacey bathroom, however the bathroom did have a slightly strange smell. We couldn't understand what it was. It was not a deal breaker for us & shouldn't stop you from choosing this room unless this is very crucial for your stay. The best and nicest thing was the hostess bringing us freshly home baked apple strudels! It was a pleasant surprise. This particular room does not have a desk, so if you need to do some work, choose one of the other rooms. I didn't pay attention when booking so I kindly asked the hosts if I could have access to a table somewhere where I could do a webinar from. They were very kind & offered to bring a table from other unused room or to use the other room for that moment. In the end, I think they accidentally forgot to give me the key to the other room (miscommunication, which can happen to anybody), but I figured it out on my own - there was a round table and a on the balcony so I carried them into the room, it was not ideal as there was not that much space, but it worked for me. The important thing was not the table, but the helpful attitude & intention to help that mattered to me, & I was grateful for that either way.

Absolutely loved it! This place is lovely. It was very clean and tidy. Slightly older feel but it oozes with a very comfortable homely feel. We had a big beautiful balcony to sit on watching the magnificent view. My husband and I made a few meals in our own little kitchen. There is also a community kitchen available too. The owner was very lovely, friendly and welcoming. Parking was very easy and convenient, free and across the road. 10-15 min easy walk into town and 8min walk to the beach to swim. We would definitely stay here again.

Great apartment at the top of Hvar, about a 20 minute walk from the ferry pier. Spacious with all the necessary features. Friendly host. Would stay again.
