This hotel gets 5 stars for the staff, who were friendly, helpful, and caring. They definitely do everything they can to make your stay pleasant. Our room was clean and comfortable and was cleaned every day. This is definitely a quaint old colonial style building, that is very quirky. The location is less than a block from the beach and very convenient for many restaurants. The only cons are the overuse of fake flowers everywhere, and the breakfast that gets pretty boring after a couple of days. But overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would return if we ever revisit Santa Marta.

Can absolutely recommend this hotel. Very romantic, great decorations and good location for walks in city centre. A nice love nest for shorter stays.

Conveniently located quaint hotel at a great price.

After being put in a room that was in bad shape, staff took care of us and put us into a room that was well taken care of. The owner and his family are very attentive and try to make guests feel welcome. While the swimming pool is small, it's located on a very nice rooftop ambiance which is semi-private. Hotel food is of good quality and reasonably priced.

The hotel is in a great place , breakfast was ok , nothing special. The pool is a large bird bath , it’s very small , like a big bathtub , the rooms are ok , the shower is very small, the towels are medium hand towels, the owners are lovely, the staff are lovely , this is a 2 star hotel , the owner speaks very little English, the lovely waitresses in the afternoon she speaks a little bit as well, for the right price it worth staying , but we were there in the beginning of December, we booked online and felt the price was a high.

Excellent location in the old historic town, loads of restaurants etc. WiFi mostly worked well. Breakfast fine. Our room and bathroom were very small and a bit old fashioned, we may have got one of the last rooms as the hotel was very busy, we did however sleep very well.

The staff is incredible. Very informative. I was introduced to the owner on my arrival. There’s a small splash pool on the roof. Good to cool off. Food is great. Oh and I have extended my three day stay to a week. Location location location

The staff at this hotel were amazing! Seriously, above and beyond. The front desk clerk actually drove us in their own vehicle to a bus station and communicated tickets for us as nobody spoke English. The owner even let us use his own Netflix account when there was nothing on TV in English! Unfortunately the room wasn't as good as the service. We booked the room for the large bath tub but it didn't work properly and wouldn't fill with water. We also got a room at the front of the hotel that bordered the patio. People were dancing and yelling with loud music playing until 3:30am and the walls were very thin. The location alone is worth the stay though, one street away to the left is the beach and waterfront and one street to the right is the main strip of bars and restaurants - everything is easily walkable and safe! Definitely worth the stay for the people running it - just recommend a room in the back or upper floors.
