Not as represented in the website or on Expedia. Overpriced, especially for what they give you. Would not have stayed there had we known the facts.

The place was wonderful and the staff was exceptional

Dodge Cottage was very convenient to town. We could walk to shops and restaurants in minutes. Our room was comfortable and cozy and we even had parking right outside our door. The breakfast buffet at the 1661 house was expansive and delicious, and the service was excellent. We really appreciated how warm and friendly everyone was and it was so nice that there was actually a bell hop who drove us and our luggage to the cottage and even carried everything inside. We would definitely stay there again.

This was just what we wanted. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

One of the windows was unable to be closed and locked. Although this was in a very, very low crime area, we would have liked to secure the room when we left. The bathroom was small without adequate space to put "things". Generally, the room was comfortable and pleasant.

Close to beaches and shops.

Fantastic stay. Rita was exceptional. Staff, room, and ammenities were only eclipsed by the view. I highly recomend the 1661 Inn.

Cold shower, old furniture, not very secure. Bed was very comfortable

Friendly staff, cottage was beautiful. More than enough room for a 1 night stay, which is hard to come by on block island.

1661 was wonderful! We stayed in Dodge Cottage and used the services and watched the sun rise at the inn. We will stay there again.

We would have liked to stay at 1661 and not Dodge… we were surprised that we were not at 1661. We would want to stay there the next time but I think we must book way in advance or off season!! Everyone was terrific at 1661 Thank you…Too bad we had rain most of our stay and didn’t enjoy the beach, enjoyed our talks with staff and visitors, Refreshing

Have stayed on Block Island many times over the years, by far the best property we have rented. It will be our go to in Block Island from here on out. Its association with 1661 Properties was a big plus, lots of benefits and one of the nicest buffets breakfasts on the Island.

We loved that it was an old house remodeled to what we are used to now...everything was wonderful. We will be back for sure!

Great room! Towards the front of the house so you can hear people on the porch. Comfy bed. Definitely need to request more TP in the bathroom during your stay because they give you only one roll. Convenient Bike racks in the front !

Staff are fantastic! Friendly and professional. I love the cottage, very cozy and clean. Breakfast is terrific especially when Rita came around with fresh veggies from their farm across the street from the 1661 Inn. If I were to have any complaints it would be hot water. It’s been years since I’ve stayed anywhere where the hot water disappears when your neighbor turns on their shower. It’s an easy fix. Also, maybe a chair in the room. Doesn’t have to be big or elaborate, just nice to sit and watch tv or read without having to mess up the bed. Oh yeah the bed could use a new mattress. It’s a bit saggy. Overall the place is nice. I will be coming back, maybe to stay at the Inn.

Close to town, clean, friendly staff. Deff recommend staying at 1661 properties. Special shout out to the 4pm happy hour!

Enjoyed our stay at the Dodge House. Location was ideal, close to town. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Housekeeper did a great job making sure we had clean linens every day. Especially liked sitting on front porch! Breakfast at the 1661 every morning was an added bonus!

Tough to check in up the hill at 1661 only to go back but worth it. Great location close to everything in the town center.

Great location, right in town. Room was very clean. Had a private bathroom, AC and floor fan as an extra bonus. The staff at 1661 are so nice and accommodating (even after checkout). They kept our bags and gave us beach towels and offered their showering facilities after also. Breakfast is included too w bottomless mimosas!! We had a great time. Would definitely stay here again
