Between making the reservation and actually staying at the hotel ownership changed. When we arrived, we found a lot of work being done to the facility. We did not stay as the room we were given appeared to be still under remodeling. Nice people and I am sure once they are done it will be a nice facility. The price did not reflect this inconvience.

For the charge per night, I expected it to be... not so rundown. The slides in the pool were inch
awesome for kids! But, everything - every square inch - needed to be repaired, repainted or updated or something. The remote for the tv wouldn't even work half the time. Had to remove the batteries and put them back in. The beds were terrible. Threadbare carpet. Dirty trim. Never again sight unseen.

Door lock didn’t work. Waited for maintenance all afternoon and evening. Never showed up. Manager wasn’t available at check out and never called me

Large rooms and private feeling. Nice location across from the beach. Incorrect address was listed on the website. I ended up driving 15 minutes north of the location then having to drive 20 minutes back to the correct location after some research to find it. Other gusts stated the same thing happened to them. Address needs updating!

Lady that check us in was so nice. Kids loved the pool, dog loved the big room and nice areas to walk. It was great.

Dirty room, food on night stand so we ended up wiping down everything on our own, carpets are dirty, smells bad when you walk in, nobody answers the phone at the front desk, not enough towels or paper products for the length of stay, ran out of toilet paper and called 3 times over a day to get someone to bring some, instead of a normal blanket, there was a duvet cover with a sheet over it, air conditioning kept turning off randomly

Made reservations online. Tried called hotel to add a day or early check in called 15 times over a 12 hour period, emailed them nothing. How can a busy operate without a way for customers to contact them. I even checked multiple websites for a different number. It was the phone on recipt

The good: the beds were comfortable. The front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located to Oscoda. The halls and rooms are spacious. The water pressure is awesome.
The bad: the pool showed heavy signs of wear and poor maintenance. The common areas of the hotel aren’t air conditioned but the guest rooms have their own A/C units. The handle came off our sink faucet. Thankfully, it was easily replaced. The hallway and room smelled musty. No continental breakfast. The coffee, while free, tasted terrible.

This place needs so much updating! I was looking forward to enjoying the backyard where there was a picnic table and chairs facing the woods, just to relax. Wasn’t able to do that because it was crowded with the owners family! Very disappointed and will not be staying here again.

Good hotel, very affordable. Quiet, nice pool area. They also had laundry, some games and tables to eat at.

I have stayed here before and it was nice. But they have many updates and it was really nice!!! Very friendly and polite. They kept the pool open late on New Years Eve so we could enjoy it after returning from our evening out in Oscoda. I will always make this the place to stay when I'm in the area.

Our room was clean and fairly comfortable. Hallways and doorways were dirty and people gathered (despite a sign) right outside the door smoking and vaping.

The property is clean. Not the Ritz but not the Pits. Many of the outer door handles were broken. Has many amenities , such as laundry , pool, common area, but they all share the same general area with just a divider between them. Staff was very nice, but could stand some TLC.

This overall stay was unpleasant. Although the check in staff was friendly, you had to go back to the street to a separate driveway to rooms. There were no exterior locks which seemed unsafe because anyone could come in hall from side doors. Once we entered we smelled strong unpleasant cooking smells that never went away throughout our stay which was unusual since there was no food service. The overall smell of halls and rooms was not good. The noise level in halls in evening in morning was loud. There was also no door separating pool and game area from rooms and there were many people yelling and playing music loudly in evening. The bed was fine, and I have never given a hotel a poor review before but this is warranted from our experience.

We had reservations at Camp Inn in Oscoda Mi Fri. We arrived after a 4 hr drive and found the place to be dirty and run down. The outside door handle was broke and there was a large chain dangling with a large pad lock. We felt it was an unsafe and shady environment and decided to leave and not stay. The bathroom was disgusting and the place had a terrible odor. It truly made me nauseated being there. We stayed at 3 other hotels during the week and were very happy with our stays.

We were on a family trip with three kids, ages 6-11, so the pool was always going to be the most important thing, and they LOVED it. It was larger than the average hotel pool and open later too. Plus, waterslides. :)
The staff were wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. Many places require two rooms for five people, and that makes for an odd (and pricier) trip. We were able to book just one room, and Brandy made sure we had everything we needed.
Some of the property looked recently renovated, but the building we were in was obviously older. The arcade games were out of order and there was no continental breakfast, but we knew that when we booked.
Overall, a great place to stay with young kids.

Property was deceiving looked very small but was actually very big. I was quiet. Had many things to offer a pool, fire pit area, pool tables, gaming area, nice great room. Only thing it lacked was carts to bring your luggage in. Was a great place to stay I would recommend it to anyone.
