A great stay! Comfortable cottages, can see the care and thought that has gone into the remodeling. Clean, quiet, nice outdoor seating area, short walk to downtown.

Very nice property. They send you a message downplaying the property but we got a renovated unit and it was better than most hotels. The only improvement that could be done is that the blinds are a bit too bright and there's a light right in front of the door that gets bright at night. There were some spider webs hanging from the fan.

Beautiful little courtyard for shade and sun. Property exactly as described. Quiet area. Carports for each cottage. Short drive to restaurants/shopping. Easy check in/out. Bed was very comfortable except a little high for me after hip surgery. Great communication with host. We chose this area as it was near the venue we were attending.

This is an old style motor court inn that’s been lovingly updated by new younger owners.
Each cottage has a little kitchenette that has everything you need (except a toaster)
They package good coffee instead of those miserable packets or pods…and mini half and half’s.
The mini split HVAC noise is a bit loud but there’s a ceiling fan and good cross ventilation.
The bed is perfect.
We look forward to trying some of the new rooms as they modernize.

Our cabin was adorable! It is truly a less is more atmosphere. We have been on the road for 2 weeks and this is our favorite!

Rooms were clean. It is an older establishment so i wasnt expecting much but it is clean with amenities the same as a high end hotel. They have a courtyard with table and chairs and that is kept clean. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was nice. The kitchenette was great. Close to town.

All was very nice and will return again. Only suggestion is front 3 steep stairs be repaired as they were disintegrating.

Lovely little cottage! Clean, tastefully remodeled, simple. Pleasant 15 min walk to the restaurants and bars in downtown Nevada City.

Room was great for what we needed. Bed was very comfortable with good linens. Bathroom was extremely tiny to the point where you had to sit sideways on the toilet because there isn't enough leg room. It didn't really bother us though, although a larger person could have some difficulty with it.

What great little cabins. Old and a little warn, but very clean, cozy and quiet. As a female visiting the area by myself, felt very safe. Beautiful hiking 2 blocks away. Staff was very helpful and available.

Piety Hill Cottages is a cute adorable place. Our room had been refurbished and it was a nice place to stay while visiting Nevada City. Only about .6 miles from downtown making it a good walk to start your day. Thank you Piety!

Room needed some repairs (peeling wallpaper, microwave plate not spinning etc) and renovations (curtains not blocking the morning sun) but it was a cute and quaint place. I’d consider going again because the location is very convenient. Check in was clear and easy. Lots of nice parking.

The first two nights we stayed in Cedar cabin which is large and renovated - super comfortable, loved the simple modern decor. The couch wasn't comfortable though. The bed was super comfy. I made a booking mistake and the staff was able to accommodate us in one of their unrenovated cabins - very cozy and had everything we needed. It was run down but clean and comfortable. We LOVED our stay at Piety cottages and the staff are great.

Cute but not as pictured. Room was very small no room for luggage or anything else. Bathroom was so small that average sized person had to leave door open use it. Kitchenette was definitely not functional. Refrigerator would hold almost nothing the little space didn’t even have a light. Not worth price.

Spacious cottage. Great if you need a full kitchen. Really sleeps 4 with the trundle bed. This property is not handicap accessible. Lots of uneven terrain, steps into the cottages and the shower was a major concern for my father. Thankfully he didn’t fall.
The cottage was clean but dumpy and unfortunately run down and old. It needs some major tlc (touch up painting and updating). Motel 6 is better maintained than this cottage. The price didn’t match what we stayed in or what I’m used to staying in for $250 a night. I guess I expected more. I feel we were taken.

First impression tell a lot. This place was absolutely adorable and homely. Touch less check and and check out. Clean. They even provide bowels, plates, mugs, glass cups and silverware. How about that.

Comfortable bed. Good coffee. It’s an older place, built when people were smaller, & we are tall so the bathroom was a bit tight for us.

Nice cottages. At the moment they are doing self check-ins, so there was no interactions with any staff members. They did however, stay in contact by text messages if there was anything you needed. It looks like they are in the process of renovating units one by one. I would definitely stay there again.

Really cute cottage, superb service and friendly staff made our stay here great! Love the location is walkable to downtown and to grocery stores. Construction on-site wasn’t disruptive. We will totally come back!!!

The cottage was cute but the lace curtains were dirty, the wallpaper was peeling & the distance from the toilet to the vanity was ridiculously small so you were not able to sit on it comfortably! T
The chairs were also very hard & uncomfortable & the head of the bed sloped downwards

The old shower was the worst part… It was rusted out in places, and had NO water pressure. They are renovating this old Motor Court, but the shower was unacceptable.

Cottages were nice. Would have been nice to have a hose to rinse off bicycles after the race. Wi-Fi didn't work but cell signal was fine. Definitely will stay again for next year's race.
