This was the perfect stay for the weekend.

Great room. Was a busy time while we where there. Dining options down the road.

This is a very modern hotel. They even have games and a pool table in the lobby! The hotel staff was very friendly.

Senior staff at check in very unfriendly and uncooperative. Treated junior staff poorly, even as he tried to be helpful. Asked to see manager and he would not come out to meet with me. Night was terrible with constant thumping noisse, making sleep impossible. I have been a Hilton user for decades, but never a Tru, and will never use again.

Nice hotel staff, good breakfast buffet, not overly crowded during our stay. We love Tru hotels.

Housekeeping needs to be properly trained. Uncomfortable check in, several guest (s) in the lobby playing pool, talked ng about a fire in the hotel.

Check shampoo and conditioner levels. Conditioner ran out in my room. I cannot do much in the middle of a shower. Maybe extend breakfast hours.

We were woken up the first night at 5:30 am by the previously set alarm clock. We were woken the second night at 3 am by a fire alarm. Everyone had to evacuate the building and wait for the fire department all clear. The bed is too hard, the pillows too soft, the towels are VERY small. The shower is slippery. Breakfast powdered eggs and cereal with no healthy options. Both days ran out of bananas. Shower pressure was very minimal, and lastly the coffee was terrible. The only positive is Amber on staff who is a joy.

Outstanding. Airport shuttle, plus snack area for purchase around front desk, ice buckets next to ice machine ++++, and quick elevators. Loved every minute of it!

Never took out trash unless we complained. Had to ask daily for towels. Only had 3 towels on arrival for 4 people.Did not take out wet towels unless we asked them to.Bed sheets were never changed in the week we were there. It seemed like they were understaffed. Very poor for a Hilton.

Hallways were very dirty. Did not look like they had been vacuumed in weeks. Rooms were dated and lots of scratches and scuffs in furniture. Pillows were comfy, but I would not stay here again.

I’m not a review writer. If I have a good experience I tell my friends and I return again and again. If I have a bad experience, I usually don’t go back. Simple My experience at Tru by Hilton in Grand Rapids motivated me to tell anyone who would listen. “Do not go there no matter how inexpensive it is…or how good the pictures are. We had 3 rooms for 7 days. They had the normal “due to Covid we will only service your room every other day, if you need anything please see the front desk” We all requested clean towels, trash pickup and beds made after 3 days without ever seeing anyone from housekeeping They apologized and promised our rooms would be clean and ready when we returned that evening. Remember this is 3 different rooms on 3 different floors. They didn’t even come empty the overflowing trash cans! My room did not get any service for the first 6 nights. The other guests had similar situations. Management continued to apologize and make promises that were not delivered. This hotel does not offer a microwave Or coffee in any of the rooms. They claim that there is hot coffee and a microwave available 24 hours day in the lobby. Wait…..what? So it’s off to Walmart to purchase a coffee maker. I hope I have given enough information here to keep my fellow travelers from experiencing the worst hotel stay of their lives. For 57 years I have held the Hilton in high regard and today I promised my wife we would NEVER stay in a Hilton property again.

The Hotel was environmentally friendly. Comfortable and clean. More towels could have been provided

Staff was friendly, but I had to return to the front desk twice; once to get a TV remote, and second to get a TV remote that worked.

The room was new and clean. Hotel was welcoming and clean as well. Breakfast was good, simple and easy. Staff was friendly. No complaints. Easy check-in, easy check-out. Good location near all restaurants and stores.

Nice room, friendly staff. Close to shopping and restaurants. Would stay here again.

I arrived at the property late after driving 9 hours and it was bed bugs soon as I walked in the room .

Not awesome. Rooms are paper thin and you hear every sound including someone just walking down the hall or walking in the room above you

The hotel seemed new. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. We booked here because we wanted a pool. The pool area was clean but the pool was so cold. Otherwise, a great stay.

My only complaint is the lack of drawer space which is always helpful when you travel with pets.

First it started with no hand soap in the bathroom and the bathroom floor not clean (debris) on the floor. Then after the soap was brought up and we went to wash our hands the sink then started to back up. So after everything was already unpacked we then had to move rooms --- very much an inconvenience when we were their for the preparation of a medical procedure the following morning.

The breakfast was terrible and water fountain covered in mold/rust

My only complaint with the hotel is the UBER driving experience coming from the airport. The driver's car was dirty, he was less than friendly, and cranked his music up to the point we had to ask him to turn it down. Like the other driver, he took a "short cut" through the Home Depot parking lot, speed bumps and all. Is this even legal? Based upon our two experiences using UBER as a shuttle to get to the airport and back after our trip, I do not feel this service speaks to the image Hilton would want to project. Not sure I would stay here the next time we need an airport hotel in Grand Rapids.

Happy with the hotel and the service. TRU is not my favorite Hilton brand, but everything was nice.

The air circulation vent and refrigerator are loud. Very clean. Easy check-in. Disgusting Uber car drive to the airport. Filthy car inside and out, headbanger music at 5:30 a.m. Driver did not offer to load or unload our bags from the trunk, Judy popped the trunk, which was half full of other stuff. Glad it was a short drive.
