Tangier has immense beauty and a storied history of artists and writers and explorers. Saba's House seems to touch on all of it. The riad was built in a small neighborhood bordering the Kasbah next door to some of the most expensive homes in Tangier as well as some of the most modest. Footsteps from very Cafe Baba and the Grand Soco, you are instantly swept up by the salty air and carried through winding alleys of shops, fruit stands, and restaurants specializing in local sea food. After a day spent walking the western coast of Cap Spartel you can saunter back to Saba's House and maybe catch a glimpse of the sunset from the impressive roof deck with panoramic views of the port and the largest beach in Tangier. Or perhaps you will be lucky enough to meet the elegant owner of the property and chat over a game of cribbage and glass of wine about how Saba's House came to be. Each room is named according to a Tangier legend which makes the entire property feel like a history lesson. I can't imagine staying anywhere else, unless it was my own home.

Wow! Amazing! Wish I had more days to stay! The roof top area is STUNNING and available 24/7. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view, eating breakfast and evening drinks. The staff is WONDERFUL, they took such great care of us. Experienced the hammam and an in room massage. They made dinner reservations for us and booked transportation to and from the airport for us. The room was clean and quiet. Bathroom, clean, plenty of hot water and spacious! Don't wait another minute, book! And add an extra day! You won't be disappointed.

We travel quite a bit and the best hotel service we have ever received was during our recent stay at Riad Dar Saba - Saba’s house in Tangier Morocco. The staff were incredible…the answer is yes now what’s the question? This is a small boutique hotel with only six rooms. We stayed in the “Elizabeth Taylor room” which had a very comfortable bed, in-room safe, small fridge and a great shower. The free breakfast is served each morning on the rooftop patio and is absolutely incredible! The hotel also has a small bar and comfortable sitting area. Saba’s house is about a one minute walk to the Kasbah area overlooking the ocean near Bab Al Bahr, several museums and several great restaurants. The hotel is about a five minute walk to the Petit Socco shopping area. If you are unsure about navigating the confusing matrix of small roads, alleyways and passageways, one of the helpful hotel staff members will be happy to show you the way! I can’t adequately describe how incredible the service was! We would seriously consider returning to Tangier just so we can stay at this amazing hotel. Thank you so much to Abdellah, Mehdi and all the other staff members who made us feel so at home.
If you are going to be in Tangier - stay here!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Saba's House in Tangier. Set in the heart of the Casbah, the riad offers a relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of Tangier. Great restaurants and not-to-miss sites are just footsteps away, the interior design is tasteful and stunning, and the rooftop patio offers a great view of the Medina and port. Even more amazing is the staff. They were totally attuned to our every need, welcoming us with a cup of mint tea, supplying us with water on our journeys into the Medina, escorting us to the port on our departure, and other little courtesies to numerous to mention. One of the highlights of our trip was a guided tour of Tangier provided by Rida Bonab. Thanks to the team at Saba's House and to Rida for making our stay in Tangier a memory for a lifetime.

Property is unique, five star quality full service in a boutique hotel. Staff was excellent and breakfast and cocktails were 5*. Located in the Medina near the Kasbah and very close to ferry.

From the service prior to checking in (ensuring we habe transportation to the hotel) through to getting in the taxi (walked to outside Medina wall) post check out, we were provided what seems like a personalised attentive service.

Roya has created an incredibly unique Riad located in the heart of the Tangier Medina. Each room has its own theme, ours was Malcolm Forbes. The staff in friendly and attentive and even guided us in our car from the harbor thru the Medina to find Saba's house. Roya spent an hour with us giving us great, local advise on restaurants, shopping and other experiences. All and all a very satisfying experience.

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful Riad for 2 nights at the end of our week in Morocco. Although this riad is small, with only 6 individually themed rooms, it is big on personality and service. It is located in the heart of the medina and has a roof top lounging and dining area with views of the city and the sea. Every single member of the staff, including the manager, concierges, and wait staff went above and beyond to make sure that we had an amazing stay. Although they don't offer lunch or dinner at the riad, there is a bar, and the included breakfast is made to order and absolutely delicious. The manager recommended an incredible restaurant for dinner that was only a 5 minute walk away and made our reservations. If you ever travel to Tangiers, do yourself a favor and stay at Saba's House (and make sure to eat at Club Morocco for dinner)!

Service at the Riad is simply amazing!!! Everyone is friendly and accommodating. Our stay was part of a longer belated birthday trip, and the hotel staff went out of their way to help me celebrate with cake and cookies, tea and singing. The owner Roya is most kind and friendly. The property is very comfortable, and the breakfast is a special treat.

First the good. It’s a lovely hotel with an owner and staff that go above and beyond in every way. Some of the best and most personal service I have experienced in years. The rooftop view over the Medina to the ocean is beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic. The small dinner menu is outsourced to a local restaurant and is very good. Now the bad. Outside the hotel - in the Medina, I was relentless stalked by wannabe guides and touts. After shaking one I could barely go 5 minutes before the harassment began again. It was extremely unpleasant. One pair was even positioned outside my hotel in the morning, waiting for me to enter the street The city really needs to address this issue before more tourists are driven away from this fascinating city.
