I arrived at the hotel around 2:15 wanted to see if I could check in a bit early. I stood at the front desk for at least 10 minutes waiting for someone to check me in. A customer sitting at the bar saw me and asked if I was checking in and replied yes. He said knock on the door maybe someone will come out to help you. I knocked on the door but no one came out. I continued to stand there and wait. My husband came in (he was waiting in the car) he asked if I checked in and I said no one has come to the front desk yet. By this time it was probably 15 min I told my husband that I had knocked on the door and no one answered or came out. He went to the door and knocked very hard and loudly and a minute or 2 passed and a lady came out to finally check us in. I was just annoyed at that point and wondering why there was not a response the first time that I knocked a the door. I get it it there is probably other things that need to be done in the back room, but I would assume that you do have a camera at the front desk to monitor activity at the desk so that your can take care of customers.

Stopped here 3 times within a month and requested a ground floor king. Ended up with the same room each time which was great but also gave me time to find any flaws. First. - the staff is amazing. Friendly and very efficient. Front desk and restaurant- prefect Midwest charm. The hotel is very new and surprisingly very quiet considering it was hosting quite a few construction crews from a far enough away building site. The room was very comfortable with an interesting and clever layout. Bed was very good and blackout blinds left no irritating gaps. Some very minor things - coffee maker didn’t work and as it was morning and too late to ask for a replacement I didn’t bother (it was replaced by my second stay). The foot rest in the shower wasn’t stable and I did mention to the front desk as that could be a safety issue. That’s all! All in all a prefect convenient stop off 80. Much easier in and out than Davenport or Iowa City.

Room was not cleaned when we checked into it. Hair on bed, finger prints all over headboard, hairs in shower, and dirty side table. Front desk said hand prints on the headboard are normal as they are hard to get off! Left for 2 hours to get dinner, and came back to it halfway fixed. Body-wash was out and lotion was half used by past occupant, and to call the desk. Was promised a call from the Manager on Monday, but no call or email was received.

The staff was amazing, the room and hotel itself was clean. Loved the firepit and patio set up outside.

The staff and servers at the restaurant were excellent. Laundry facilities were very well maintained and easy to use. Thank you

They should give water to all guests as we come in

We had takeout dinner that we wanted to eat outside on the patio, there are over 20 to 30 seatings and only one table was occupied. We were not allowed to eat outside with our food. You had to have restaurant food only. Ridiculous since we’re paying customers of the hotel. We never saw another table sat the entire night while we were at the pool. The people above us were so loud. It sounded like a wrestling match going on. We called the front desk and they refused to do anything until 10 PM at night. This went on and on to the point where we were unable to even have a conversation in our room without constant noise from above. We called again and they moved us to another room at 9 o’clock at night instead of just telling the people to be quiet. This hotel was such an inconvenience. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again.
