The facilities are very nice and most staff are extremely helpful. Rooms are well kept. I enjoyed my stay. The rooftop is very nice but the pool is not for swimming and is unheated. If you are looking for a pool to get your laps in then you will be unhappy. But if you just need to chill and soak, it is perfect and often there is a self-srrve sparkling wine bottle on deck. The gym and sauna facilities are noce. You have long (15-20) min walks to old town or Gros but minutes from a nice river walk and the bridges. Parking is limited so call try to book early and call the night before. If parking is full, there is a parking lot around the corner that you can book with the Telpark app and the staff can help you with that. The parking lot is a two minute walk but a 10 to 15 min drive in traffic.

Clean hotel, nice gym, weird room design.

Hotel is modern and clean, staff friendly and helpful; nice breakfast buffet. Direct surroundings not so attractive but nicer quarters nearby. Beach 10/15 minute walk. No public transport to old town, but taxis easy to get.

Very nice hotel with very friendly staff at the reception. If you come by car, it may not be easy to find a parking space near the hotel if the hotel car park is full.

Checkin was a little slow, too many arrivals and not enough staff. Gym is great, but towels are missing as is cleaning spray. Room was very good - big and well appointed. Roof top pool and loungers could have been better - messy and a bit chaotic. Overall a very good place, and within 20minutes walk of all major interest spots.

It was a great property to stay, great location, close to town. Reseptionist was great all the time. We enjoyed our short stay.

What a great hotel, and super value. The staff could not have been friendlier, and all had excellent English. We really enjoyed the spa facilities; they were a fabulous way to relax. The rooms were clean and intriguingly arranged; ours had a quasi-separate showering and dressing area, which we enjoyed. The hotel is right next to the lively Plaza Easo with its eateries and cultural events, and about a 10-minute walk from the Cathedral. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. I only have 2 complaints. The pillows are horrible. PLEASE replace them. Also, I find it weird that you have to make reservations for the indoor whirlpool. It wasn't difficult to get one, but it's strange.

Excellent staff who were very helpful

Hotel is fairly new. Had issues with cold water, that issue was resolved. The hotel called a cab and within minutes they arrived. On arrival the we received an upgraded room to help accommodate our luggage.(Sweet) On the morning of our departure the front desk made a breakfast bag for us to take on our early flight!!!!! Very awesome experience!!!!

Check in with Raquel was excellent. Location was great. Quiet area. Walking distance to all the town.

We had a lovely time at this hotel, overall standards were excellent and the staff were lovely and v helpful. Breakfast buffet was also fantastic. Only downside was the first room we stayed in had really smelly drains so bad we had to move room. We moved to an even nicer room and the staff were helpful but it would have been better not to have happened at all.

Easy access to old Town , very good food ! Beautiful city and I would visit again

The room was beautiful and spacious enough. The location is pretty good-everything is very walkable. Our biggest complaint is that the Hotels.com listing had a bar as a property detail, on the property did not have a bar. We would have chosen another hotel.

A quite out of the way place that is not too far from the old town. There are some very good local eateries nearby.

Property was well kept. A bit out of the way but in fairly walkable distances to the main town areas.

The property is centrally located and is clean.

Highlights included lovely sheets, quiet neighbourhood and a great barista for coffees at breakfast. Overall breakfast was great. Low points were room size, extreme lack of storage, poorly designed interior, no place to conveniently do makeup, no place to hand long items of clothes, very dark bathroom, TV placed where you literally walk into it while walking by. Some staff were good some were very abrupt. Really it’s an ok spot for a few nights in the area with minimal baggage but even for us passing through with a carry on and a personal item each we had no room to place anything.

The manager and staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.This is a really well maintained hotel in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of downtown.

The Axel Hotel in San Sebastian is wonderful! It was an excellent place to stay for our honeymoon. The free spa services were an added benefit which we made good use of.

Clean, modern and staff are very friendly. Only complaint would be the lack of privacy in the room’s toilet, everything is open air.

Great gym

The bed was harder than the floor. No jacuzzi, just two saunas and a luke warm pool.

Quite disappointed with allocated room as I booked a king room with a garden terrace and ended up on the top floor with a small balcony there was no actual place to hang clothes etc and there was only one small bedside cupboard.The shower was difficult to control temperature fluctuating from boiling to cold. As I paid just under £1400 for a week to be honest i expected more for the money. I must say it was very clean and staff very helpful.

It was within easy walking distance to station and all places I wanted to see.. The Jacuzzi was good . The staff were not very friendly . I had breakfast on one day but was not impressed.
