No one in lobby to check you in and out, you do it all yourself over the phone, lobby locked in the morning. Ice machine did not work, no vending machines, no phone in the room, no clock in the room, soap/shampoo/conditioner unit in shower was empty, no table in the room, for chairs there had been two metal bar type stools. I would only give the hotel a 1 because at least it didn't small. Would NEVER stay there again or recommend it.

I go to hotel and was met by 4 police and people living in rooms .. garbage everywhere. Could not get iin room keys did not work.. ended up not staying .. this place is crap

The pool was closed and it looked like it wasn't even being worked on. There was an ice maker and it was turned off. the shower took a long time to get hot and drained very slow so when you went to take a shower you were standing in several inches of cold water. You couldn't inform the staff because there was nobody there. Everything was done over the phone.

No one was there to check you in, you had to call a phone number and the man walked you through how to swipe your Card to create a key to get into your room, the ice machine did not work, There was no hot water in the bathroom sink. The room itself was dark and VERY outdated.

I didn't see any staff members on site. When I went to the office to check in, I had to call a posted number. The person who answered instructed me how to process my credit card and program my room keys on equipment in the office. I accomplished both successfully.
My room #103 was very basic, showing wear and tear, but clean. My bed was comfortable. The heating/ A/C unit was adequate, but outdoor temperatures were mild.
The room door did not latch when closed normally, probably due to building settling. The deadbolt worked OK for when I was in the room. I found that, by lifting the door handle with the door closed, I could get the latch to operate, so I was able to lock the door and provide security for my belongings when I wasn't in my room.

We did enjoy our stay. I called ahead to ask about late check-in and the man who answered the phone was borderline rude and snippy. We arrived in the afternoon after rearranging our life and checked it. What infuriated me was that when we arrived back after our event, there were people checking in. The young man on the desk in the afternoon was very friendly and very polite.

There was no person to check you in or to seek assistance. Everything is worn and tattered.

Staff Camren and Heidi were both very friendly and helpful. I wish the pool was opened. Camren mentioned that is still needed to be repaired.

We arrived at check-in time but no one was on hand to check guests in - we had to call a number which was at the desk, and when someone answered (after several attempts) he talked us through inserting the credit card in the credit card machine, and putting the blank keys through the kay machine. No one was on hand to receive the keys when we checked out, and there was no key drop box, so we left the keys in the room. There were shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the shower, but they were empty, and there were bars of soap, but no shampoo or conditioner.

I checked in at 4pm, and got in at 5pm. Since I was very tired, the delay made it very unpleasant.

This place is run remotely from the Phillipines. They do not always answer the phone. Office jiurs are limited. Security is scary. Cleaning staff works hard. Crazy situation with full time residents.

Location was good. Reason I chose it. No staff at check in desk. Everything by phone. Difficulty using electric keys to enter room. Couldn’t watch/use tv. Called staff from 5:30 pm until 10:30 pm no one came to assist. Sheets & pillowcases on bed not fresh. Had to change myself.
I will be requesting a refund for what I paid. Very disappointed

It was a strange check-in, done remotely, but everything worked out fine. The on-site staff was very helpful.

The young man at the front desk was nice. That's the only good thing about this place. To access our room, we had to climb stairs outside to the second floor and try to access the door absolutely covered with dead bugs. Keys didn't work. A second set didn't work. Not helpful when you have luggage and food in 95 degree heat. Finally found a door that had been taped open. Room gross. Unable to change the channel on the TV. Fan in the bathroom sounded like it was ready to give up. Electrical sockets taped over. Dead flowers "decorating" the hallway along with a fly swatter. Fire extinguishers hadn't been inspected since April of 2022. Overall, better to avoid The Pilgrim Inn. Dreadful!

Arrived at 5pm, check-in time is 3pm. Was told my room was not ready. Then the clerk said there was another room that was ready, and checked in. Didn't realize till that evening when I came back to room that the sink drain was cracked and every time I used the sink, water sprayed on the floor around my feet. Wound up using the tub for hand washing, etc. Not acceptable.

The staff was really friendly. It was a fine place to stay. Our room was non-smoking but probably didn't used to be. It's not an updated place and the pool wasn't open, but it was a bed to sleep in with a shower that worked. The other places to stay around this area are really pricey, so it worked for what we needed at the price we could afford.

My room was sparkling clean, and some of the amenities were charming reminders of my youth: ironing board and iron fitted on the wall, clothesline pulley in the tub, automatic dispenser for soap and shampoo. For housekeeping, one must ask: I met the housekeeping couple who reside on the property and asked for extra bath towels and coffee for the coffee maker, and they brought them promptly. The room came with a half-fridge and a microwave as well. The only drawback, for me, were the t.v., which seemed to play exclusively Fox, and the remote check-in (the proprietor, located somewhere else in the world, speaks to new arrivals and helps them program the keys to their room via telephone in what was once the lobby--a little weird if you're not used to it). I was here to visit Jacob's Pillow, and, when I'm here again, I'd definitely chose to stay at the Pilgrim: five nights cost $781 total! By the way, Hotels.com has my stay wrong: I was here from Tuesday, Jul 02--Sun, July 7.

There was no check in at all, they called you on the phone. My original room wasn’t available, no real issue. The pictures are not of where you actually stay…this place needs serious updating! I would expect this for $80 a night, not over 100

Never saw a person for check in. No breakfast. Cleanliness barely adequate. Rugs needed to be replaced or better yet, don't have any. The only amenities were three bars of soap, the dispenser in the tub area for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was empty. The room was pretty worn. The web states they had a pool which is true but you couldn't swim in it. The walls of the pool were falling down and there was green water and leaves in part of the pool. It was tough getting the tv to work. There was no information sheet in the room. The one positive thing was that the room was a good size and had a small table and two chairs.The refrigerator and the microwave were fine.

The pictures online looked nothing like the room that I walked into. There was no one at the front counter, and all transactions were done over the phone. The minute I saw the inside of the room, I called another hotel. The only positive is that they let me cancel with a full refund.

Remote check in. Ice machine did not work. Continental breakfast not available on Friday. Soap-shampoo-conditioner unit was empty- no one cleaned our room with new towels-pool was not even filled-walls and carpeting filthy-clear evidence of an Absentee landlord. We traveled a lot and this was the WORST place we have EVER stayed in!!!

I showed up with my daughter after a long drive and NO ONE was at reception. Late, it before midnight- not unusual for motel travelers. NO ONE answered buzzer. NO ONE answered phone. I had to stay in another motel after scrambling to find one at the last minute. I think this is some kind of zombie listing. I prepaid, no refundable through One Key and there was NO ROOM.

A DUMP - pay a little extra, and stay somewhere else. No joke: this was one of the most disappointing stays I've ever had at any hotel. I would give it zero stars overall, but that's not one of the review options.
I don't often write reviews, but I felt a warning to others was in order so that they don't make the same mistake we did.
The pool was empty of water (though the site said there was a pool), there was no staff on duty (probably because the place's bad condition invites complaints to the management), there was no hot water (and no explanation why), and the rooms were dingy and smelled like cigarette smoke poorly covered up by nauseating air freshener (despite it being an ostensibly non-smoking room). Some of the tenants appeared to be long-term and living in the building, and there are no amenities - not even morning coffee (despite the machinery being in the "reception" area). Our check-in was over the phone, and someone remotely watched me on a video camera as I self-served activating my room key.
The worst part is that management and/or Expedia knew or should have known I was being overcharged for this shabby place - $170 ($190 with tax), and I saw it listed the night we (regrettably) stayed there for $100 cheaper. Someone is misrepresenting this place, and I will get to the bottom of it!! I feel completely taken advantage of.

This property appears to be a shelter for homeless people. Sadly for them, it’s dark, dank, dirty musty. We didn’t feel safe there.

The swimming pool is green, and unusable. Front desk is just a phone call and they walk you thru it. Stairs could use a good cleaning. Otherwise very good stay.

SHTHOLE! No hot water…. Hot water faucets nearly shut off under the sink. NO SERVICE! NO COFFEE!
On our last day, the city gas service was shut off because the owner was not paying his bills! I am not making this up… I have a photo of the shut off notice that was stuck in the office door! STAY AWAY!

Amenities like TV and Internet didn’t work. Comforters on beds are an itchy fabric. Didn’t feel super welcomed with staff not being present at the desk, although I understand having other options for different reasons, I still prefer to meet and do business face to face.

The room smelled of cigarette and cleaner mixed together. The carpet felt like it needed a deep cleaning and left our bare feet filthy. There was no shampoo, conditioner, or shower gel in the dispensers. The sheets had a mixed smell of cleaner and cigarettes as well. I can understand why it was so cheap now.
