Beautiful hotel. Beautiful room with a comfortable bed and great pillows. However, we went in December and the room was about 75-80 degrees. We opened the window to get air and all we heard was the Tram all night. The hotel is right on the Tram line. (Like 15 feet from it). Whole it was very convenient to the Christmas markets, I would not stay there again.

I was in Basel for a business conference at the congress centre. I decided to book this hotel to be in the nicer shopping/restaurant district with a short tram ride (6 mins) to the conference centre and I'm so glad I did. Many of my colleagues at the conference were jealous of this location! This hotel was safe, clean, friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Very happy with this stay. I needed electrical converters and Ironing board and both were brought to my room right away. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, we didn’t like the hotel itself but that’s just our taste. We found the decor a bit dismal and clinical. Also, we didn’t like the weird bathroom facilities.Shower and basin in the bedroom and separate toilet near the door. Style over function.

Service was friendly and always helpful. Extra benefits included. Free mini bar and a Basel pass which gave us half price off at museums and free tram rides. Breakfast buffet was very good.

What a beautiful hotel in the Marketplace area of Basel. We only stayed one night before a flight out of Zurich, but wish we could have stayed longer (definitely in the future). We arrived early from our prior travels and the reception staff helped us get settled and had us in an incredible room. The breakfast was good and opened early so it was great to do before a train trip.

The hotel is in a central location, just a short walk from the Rhein and lots of shops and dining. Our room is immaculate, attractive, and well-outfitted with eco-friendly features, an excellent shower, and comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel restaurant served a delicious buffet breakfast with fresh fruit, cheeses, freshly-baked breads and croissants, etc. Our stay has been delightful!

The hotel room is very well designed and decorated. Bedding and towels are very comfortable. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. Hotel staff were very professional and helpful when needed. The hotel is located next to the city hall where there are many tram lines passing by. Everywhere in the old town is walkable and there are plenty of eateries and shops nearby. This hotel will be our top choice when we visit Basel again.

Great customer service. We arrived to the hotel around 10:15am after disembarking our River Cruise. They were very accommodatng and were able to give us a very nice room to check in early. The hotel is conveniently located near old town. It is very convenient for transportation service to the train station via their tram system in order to head to Zurich airport. The team is just a few steps away from the hotel making it easy with all your luggage in tow.

We waited at check in for 10 mins before the girls in the room adjacent came over to check us in. We had two rooms and the one for our kids the AC did not work. The hotel provided a fan which me at the window was left open and it’s super noisy this location. The hotel did nothing to try and find them a room with AC. The check out person was very nice but my kids did not sleep….

We had booked a Junior Suite for 3 nights before embarking on a river cruise to Amsterdam. The property is new and shows. The room had high quality modern fixtures and lighting. It made our 20 year old home in the US look antique! The location is excellent. It is right next to a farmer's market and across from the tram station. The staff was friendly. We did not dine at their restaurant but it looked very nice. It is just a very cool hotel.

Wonderful hotel located almost right in the Market Place where the quaint shops and enticing restaurants prevail. It also happens to be a transportation hub which is so convenient. The hotel staff is superb. I truly appreciated the responsiveness of the desk clerk who greeted us in English and obviously saw we were like the walking dead after a long flight from US . He immediately relieved us of our bags and brought us water. I think his name was David. But all the staff was great and eager to help with any detail. The room was perfect, very comfortable and clean. Amazingly the mini bar in the room was free. The hotel was close enough to both airport (35 euros taxi) and cruiseport (25 euros).

Welcoming service from moment we entered the hotel! Big, clean, comfortable room, with French doored Juliet terrace with romantic view! The terraced roof was also lovely! The hotel restaurant served good food in an inviting setting. The outside cafe was a perfect place to have a cocktail and watch the world go by!

Our stay was convenient and easy. Room was clean and very nice, with some free drinks and snacks in the mini fridge. It’s in a touristy part of town so there is some shopping and easy access to public transit. We did not have to fumble with remedial German as everyone we interacted with on staff spoke English. Easy, clean and convenient.

It was a warm day AC had issues keeping up. I inquired and apparently they have a new water system that has only two settings -2 or 2, in relation what nobody knows.

The ONLY problem is their a/c isn’t really a/c . Your room will not get as cold as you like. They control it through their “ new environmental air conditioner “ .
