Our Red apartment is on the 1st floor of historical Palazzo Melegatti (22 stairsteps, no elevator!), situated in one of the oldest European streets - the ancient Via Postumia, constructed in 148 BC by the Roman consul Postumius, today Corso Porta Borsari.

We are 100 m to P.zza Erbe, 300 m to Juliet's House, 400 m to Arena.
You can reach us by your own car with our ZTL permission.
Enclosed public parking is 7 7-minute walk from us, 20€ per day.

We are privileged to have two magnificent balconies made centuries ago of local stone and red marble, overlooking the entire length of Corso Porta Borsari.

Standing on these BALCONIES you have the sensation of being suspended over Corso Porta Borsari, with a breathtaking view - you can admire two ancient churches (Romanesque San Giovanni in Foro from the 12th century and Gothic Sant'Eufemia from the 14th century), a medieval Gardello Tower, the ancient Roman Borsari Gate, and the elegant facades of the ancient palaces.

For art, design, and history lovers, This Must Be The Place!

In this recently (2017 and 2023) refurbished 130 sqm big apartment, we have 3 rooms (each one with a double bed and with its own A/C split unit), 2 bathrooms (each one with toilet and shower, with no A/C), and a vintage kitchen (with a fan and with no A/C), with the heating radiators in the whole apartment.

IMPORTANT:
The propriety is not suitable for oversized and/or with mobility impairments guests. There is 1 stairstep inside of the ante-bathroom.
There is no living room.
There is no dishwasher.

BEDROOMS:

All 3 double beds are designed by Architect Roberto Nicolis from Verona and are handcrafted by artisans from Verona, with the headboard of the beds hand-made of Tuscan silk velvet.

All our beds (extra single beds included, to set up only for big groups) have orthopedic wooden slats made in Italy.
Each bed (extra single beds included) has a top-quality memory foam mattress manufactured in Tuscany and 5* hotel-quality bedding.

- Master Bedroom (27 sq m) was originally a big Salone (living room) with a sofa bed and a lounge area. We replaced the sofa with a comfortable and stylish silk velvet king-size bed (180 x 200 cm), with a 30 cm high memory top mattress. We decided to keep the lounge area, adding a new HD Smart 55' TV.

This bedroom has its own private balcony and a breathtaking view of Corso Porta Borsari and a side alley. From this balcony, you can enjoy the lively Veronese Movida, especially on the weekend afternoons and evenings.

Only for big groups, here in the master room, we can set up 1 or 2 extra single beds (80 x 190 cm each).

- Bedroom No.2 is a double room with a very high ceiling. It comes with 1 queen-size bed (160 x 190 cm). This room is very quiet, with a relaxing atmosphere and a view of the sky, overlooking an artistic installation.

- Bedroom No.3 is a double room with a very high ceiling. It comes with 1 queen-size bed (160 x 190 cm). It is situated at the end of a long corridor, i.e. is close to the bathrooms and has a view of our own private patio.

PATIO:

It is a quiet and peaceful oasis. It comes with a big plastic Philippe Starck three-seater sofa and its small plastic table.

BATHROOMS:

There is a 40-year-old red ante-bathroom ("anti-bagno" in Italian, which is a space that precedes the bathroom ambient, isolating it in a correct and hygienic way from the rest of the house), with its own sink, and the huge mirrors.

From this ante-bathroom, two separate bathrooms are accessed. Each one of these 2 bathrooms has a toilet and a shower. No bathtub! Both showers were made in 2023.

One of our 2 bathrooms has a sliding door. Through this bathroom, you have access to our silent and peaceful patio, which is for the exclusive use of our guests only. The washing machine is located outdoors, on the patio.

KITCHEN:

Our Red dining area is very comfortable and elegant, with its huge French door and its big balcony.

Well-preserved 40-year-old and basic kitchen, with some lovely wear and tear, made of solid wood by Maistri Cucine company. The oven and dishwasher are NOT AVAILABLE for our guests!

Throughout the flat, except in the kitchen and the bathroom, the floor is of the famous local Red Verona Marble (in Italian: Rosso di Verona).

Both the kitchen and the bathrooms have 40-year-old Italian hand-crafted red color tile floors and walls (it's a famous "Rosso Veneziano" - Venetian Red).
