The location is wonderfully isolated yet quite a short drive to the closest town. The house is a charming mid-century former farm with some unique fixtures that is a real blast from the past. The refurbished bathroom adds mod cons. It's very close to a large working farm and farmland. The property is fenced off so my dog was secure and not in danger or able to cause any trouble.

There is only one two seater sofa and a large kitchen table in the living room. The 'good' room at the front was locked which was pity. The house felt a little damp but got aired out well once windows were opened and scented candles lit. We may have been the first rental of the season.

Took us a minute to work heating but contacted host and they came really quickly to demonstrate

The beds were really comfy and a nice bedding. Shower was nice and everywhere was clean and loads of room for everything.

Just think the radiators might need bleeding they didn't warm up fully that's the only thing.

The communication with Barbara was excellent from the start, the little touches of milk and fresh bread on arrival as I was late to check in. Keys left in a lock box ideal for late comers. The Farm House is clean, warm and comfortable with a fully loaded kitchen leaving you wanting for nothing. Fresh towels on the bed. Jally Farm leaves you wanting for nothing. I can't comment on the area as we were over for work, Callan is located a few miles up the road where you can find supermarkets, pubs takeaways etc. Thanks Barbara

The shower was good and the mattress comfortable.

My first impression of the farmhouse was the unpleasant smell and feeling of cold. The Stanley range had an overpowering smell of gas/oil so was unusable. The overall feel is shabby and old, the crockery a mix of old and some unclean pieces. The kitchen cupboards old and so shabby to be unhygienic. The inside of the kettle has so much limescale it flakes off into the water with every boiling. A pane of glass in the bedroom window is broken and dangerous. The windows were dirty. Outside the rainwater constantly runs over the gutters which are blocked. The paths are weedy and green with algae. We booked for 4 people but only two stayed. Our friends stayed in a beautiful farmhouse just a few miles away for £260 less than this property

Plenty of space, good kitchen for cooking in and an exceptional shower. It's nice to be in a farm with all the wild birds flying around (particularly swallows). We finally found a place which facilitated a dog, and she enjoyed the spacious gardens surrounding the building.
