La grande veranda sopraelevata di 28 mq dispone di un barbecue incorporato, mobili da giardino di design e gode di una vista mozzafiato sui tetti di Burgau e sui Monti Monchique. Ci sono 2 camere da letto, una matrimoniale e una doppia. La doppia ha un bagno privato con vasca idromassaggio, c'è un secondo bagno con una grande doccia (entrambi i bagni con riscaldamento a pavimento). Ogni stanza conduce sul balcone soleggiato. L'appartamento climatizzato è estremamente ben attrezzato con accessori di alta qualità in tutto.
La sala dispone dell'ultima TV LED da 40 'con la maggior parte dei canali TV del Regno Unito, DVD. Inoltre c'è un dock per iPod, CD / radio.

Il complesso è situato ai margini del villaggio con vista sulla spiaggia e adiacente al parco nazionale. Una posizione davvero tranquilla e bellissima.
Viaggio e accesso: Burgau è facilmente raggiungibile dall'aeroporto di Faro, prendendo poco meno di un'ora sulla nuova autostrada A22. Il noleggio auto è molto ragionevole e consente l'esplorazione della zona. Per una vacanza davvero rilassante, arriva con Transfer Taxi o con gli autobus Transfer più economici. Lovely apartment with easy access to beach and local amenities. Pictures don’t do it justice - it’s much nicer and more spacious than they can show. Handy for Nova Beach Club which serves great food and has lovely friendly staff. The live music night in there was very enjoyable. Only downside is the pool is not heated (but not many in Burgau are) and was very cold. Been coming to Burgau on and off for 40 years. It’s still a lovely place with plenty of character although evenings are much quieter than they used to be. That beach though. Still stunning and the Beach Bar is still one of the best spots anywhere for some piri piri chicken or fresh seafood washed down with a cold beer.

This apartment was lovely - clean, furnished really nicely with a huge balcony. There was nothing that wasn't thought of! The location was perfect - a few minutes into the village and the beach. Paul and Ruth were perfect to deal with and we hope to stay again!

Would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment. The bedding, towels and furnishings are of hotel quality. There are lots of extras like cool box, picnic hamper, enough dishwasher and washing machine tablets and beach umbrella. Nova Beach Club, which is free to use, has a great swimming pool and good food with a Dish of the Day including beer or wine and coffee for €10. Burgau has everything you would need with supermarkets, shops, restaurants, fantastic beach and lovely friendly people.

Cream of Domusiberica
We love Burgau for all the reasons given in the other reviews and particularly Domusiberica for its convenience, facilities and setting.
We have stayed in this complex 5 or 6 times in different apartments, but this was the first time in this Paul and Ruth's apartment and I would have no hesitation in saying that this apartment is very much our favourite of all we have stayed in and the one we would choose to return to.
The cleanliness and attention to detail were just perfect, and the décor just fitted beautifully and made it it an extremely attractive place to stay.
All dealings with the owners were friendly and considerate and just gave us a feeling of attention to detail, with a glorious result.
We hope to be future visitors on a regular basis.

We had a wonderful vacation in Portugal. Burgau is a tiny village for relaxing. The apartment is very clean and well equipped. The interior was nice and cosy. Furniture is upper class and beds are very comfortable. You can find even beach equipment like a sun umbrella, beach toys for smaller children. In the morning you can have your breakfast in the sun on the large balcony. We didn't miss anything.

Just back from a two week stay and would highly recommend this accommodation. Really comfortable and well equipped and Paul and Ruth were great to deal with. The appartment was ideal, the area is lovely and there was plenty of space inside and outside on the balcony for us and two teenage sons. Would definitely stay here again.

Apartment with a spectacular view!
Beautiful spacious apartment, very clean, all exactly as seen from the pictures on Homeaway. Our stay for almost a month.
We were able to cook many of our meals, even did use the barbecue 3 times. Kitchen has enough utensils, plates, pots and pans.
Most of all the location is perfect...near 2 groceries stores , a very good bakery, got some bread almost every mornings! 5 minutes walk to the beautiful beach, the wind was a bit cool, but lots of sunny days!
Perfect weather for Hiking!!! We enjoyed walking the coastal trails, spectacular views, walking to Luz or the other way to Salema! So many great restaurants! We were able to eat lots of grilled fish, cataplana ...many sweet delicoius custard tarts.
We had a great vacation! Travel by bus and also we were able to joint relatives that had a car. We were able to visit many places in Algarve! Montchique was f
antastic!

Lovely apartment in a traditional fishing village
The apartment was exactly as we expected, we went to walk the Portuguese coast and it is perfectly placed, with walks from the village and easy access to the west coast. We were met by the very friendly Jao who explained everything to us. The apartment is exceptionally well equipped, maintained and cleaned. The village of Burgau is a very friendly place and we found a number of good, reasonably priced restaurants all within walking distance of the apartment. We particularly liked Bombordo, where the chef came into the restaurant to ask if everything was ok. Even in February we were able to have breakfast on the veranda with the early morning sun shining on us - a lovely start to the day. We would recommend this apartment and look forward to returning again soon.

Fantastic apartment and great communication from Paul and Ruth.
Had a great time in Burgau although the weather was not too kind. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay and only a 5 minute walk into the village which has some lovely restaurants. Burgau is a great location because it is close to Lagos and many other places of interest. Salema is only a few kilometres away and is a lovely village where you can see dinosaur footprints in some of the rocks. Thanks Paul and Ruth for a great holiday thanks to your wonderful apartment and hope to visit again in the future.

Wonderful Home
It was great to have Paul and Ruth’s beautiful home as a base. It is perfectly situated to explore the south from. From Sagres to Granada, from Luz to Aljezur we thoroughly explored it all. No swimming, or lying by the pool (due to unseasonable weather), but one can’t have everything.
Ana and her assistants were terrific. We couldn’t have asked for more from them - and Paul. The kitchen was well equipped for our month long stay and the bedding and linens were lovely.
The village of Burgau is quaint. We were a little early for many of the restaurants opening. They were just getting into the season but we did enjoy two good meals - one at the pizzeria and the other at Bombardo. Also, try the pasteis from the market. The second best we had in Portugal - after Pasteis de Belem in Lisbon.
We definitely recommend Paul and Ruth’s and should we find ourselves returning to the Algarve will book it again.

Great holidays!
We know and love the little town Burgau for many years. Also in 2017 we have had a very relaxing vacation with our three kids there. Not least because of Pauls beautiful apartment in Domusiberica! The apartment is very spacious, stylish and handy. Everything a family needs is available. We especially enjoyed the big balcony with a wonderful view of the nature around Burgau. It is perfect for having breakfast in the morning, watching the sun rise. And in the afternoon it is a shady place, where you can find some rest from the sun … :-)
The manager was very friendly and helpful and the cleaning staff did a
perfect job. We will be there again in 2018!

Wonderful, spacious air conditioned apartment
We have recently returned from Paul and Ruth's apartment. Firstly the booking process was simple with Paul responding quickly to any queries that we had. Before we left the airport in our hire car we phoned Ana, the property manager, to arrange to meet at the property, where we were met as we got out of the car. She was very welcoming, showing us around the apartment and demonstrating how everything worked. The large, flat screen tv has British channels but we didn't use it during our stay. The fridge freezer worked efficiently as did the washing machine and dishwasher. We didn't use the cooker-the nearest that we got to cooking was making toast in the toaster! The apartment was exceptionally clean and the beds were supportive and comfortable. The balcony was huge and may have benefited from sunbeds to allow sunbathing in privacy although Zaza with it's pool and restaurant was only 150 metres away.
The beach was beautiful and was complimented by the Beach Bar which served drinks and food. We ate dinner in the village every night, preceded by large g&t's at Ruis cafe, which is also used by the locals. We didn't try all the restaurants that had been recommended as one of us is a vegetarian and not all places had a veggie option. Our favourites were Esquina, Matias (two veggie choices) and New Jaipur. We found the standard of food and service exceptional wherever we ate-apart from one eatery in Lagos where the sardines and tuna came out of a tin!
A new addition to Burgau is Gary, with his tuk tuk. He has lived in Burgau for eight years and has been doing flexible tours around the village for the last few weeks where he takes you to areas that might otherwise not be visited. The three of us had a fun, enjoyable tour with him.
Lastly, as no-one was booked into the apartment on the day of our departure Ana kindly allowed us a later check-out. She is a real asset and nothing is too much trouble for her. Thank you Ana, you certainly went the extra mile for us.

On our last night in the apartment we felt quite sad as we didn't want to leave. It was a lovely holiday made so much more so by the fact that your apartment is so comfortable & relaxing. Tastefully furnished but very homely. Excellent location with just a short 5 minute walk to the village & beach. Fabulous sandy beach, great beach bar, restaurants & such friendly people.
We toured both ways along the coast & also visited the Adega do Cantor (Cliff Richards vineyard) at Guia only 30 mins away. Suffice it to say we loved Portugal &
especially Burgau. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Jenny & Dave

Home away from home!
This is our first time to the Algarve and we loved it! Paul was very accommodating with our requests and this made our time in Burgau even more enjoyable. We had lovely weather and the views on the coastal cliff walks are stunning. Burgau beach is small and private and takes 5-8 minutes walk to get there from the apartment. There are a few local restaurants in the town, and the drives around Burgau to Praia de Luz, Praia Dona Ana and Sagres are easy and pleasant. We had a fabulous time there. Would highly recommend!

magnifique appartement entièrement équipé
Burgau est un joli petit village très typique avec toutes les commodités . L' appartement de Paul et Ruth est magnifique , il n'y manque rien (tout ce qu'on peut rêver , cuisine entièrement équipée , chambres magnifiques et spacieuses , 2 salles de bain comme neuves grand terrasse avec barbecue , salon tv , enfin absolument tout !. Il est très agréable à vivre , très propre et très confortable . Ana est une personne vraiment adorable qui cherche à nous faciliter la vie . Nous avons adoré nous promener dans Burgau et découvrir toutes les petites ruelles . Chaque petit coin nous offre une vue magnifique ; le soir quand Burgau est éclairé , de la falaise nous avons profité d'une vue imprenable sur l'océan et sur le village . Le beach bar est un endroit très agréable . La plage est à 5 mn à pied de l'appartement . Ce qui a été très plaisant aussi , c'est que Burgau soit central par rapport à toutes les autres villes à visiter , entre Lagos et Sagres . je conseille fortement de vivre le coucher de soleil à Sagres et de voir le Fort Vicente! Lagos est à découvrir avec ses plages magnifiques et à faire absolument "la Ponta De Piedade " , merveilleux paysages assurés! Nous avons d'ailleurs visiter les grottes en Kayak . Amoureux du surf , nous avons découvert la fabuleuse plage Amado à Carapatheira , c'était super !
Sans hésiter, nous reviendrons chez Paul et Ruth en espérant les rencontrer pour de vrai car un contact super agréable et sympathique et très attentionné !
Nous espérons y revenir une prochaine année , merci encore à Paul et Ruth ainsi qu'Ana pour toute leur gentillesse ( un petit clin d'oeil pour Danielle , jeune femme adorable à qui nous souhaitons beaucoup de bonheur avec son futur bébé)

Excellent apartment in a great location
The apartment has 4 rooms which have French windows leading on to a very large west facing terrace, which has open views and is not overlooked.
The apartment was very well maintained and is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Burgau with its restaurants, bars, beach etc.
It was very hot while we were there and we really appreciated the excellent, quiet air-con.

Amazing
Just came back from our 4th Burgua trip. First one in this apartment. It's really a lovely place to stay. All the communications in the run up were excellent with Paul offering great advice on car hire etc. As a family of four we couldn't have had a nicer time or a better place to stay. Will defo be re booking. Thanks again to Paul, Ruth and Ana.

“Fantastic accommodation in Burgau; as described.
“Just to say that the reviews people have written are all very true. Fallen in love with this area and apartment. This accommodation is as described and photographed. It is very clean, very well equipped and has very helpful information provided beforehand and found in the apartment. We travelled out with our 2 adult daughters who stayed a week with us. There are enough kitchen utensils for 6 people and kitchen is well equipped for a holiday home. The Burgau area is delightful and provides you with beautiful scenery, English speaking locals, small shops and some great local beaches. We went to Cabanas beach which is a mile along the coast towards Salema. It is flat, has a free car park, restaurant and life guard. I have a knee problem so the local beach at Burgau has a steep walk and steps. No worries as we found something that totally suited us. Most places were free to park and the area is so clean. Loads of places to visit - Vineyards, Zoo, water parks, beautiful beaches, Spa town of Monchique and the lakes as well. Highlight of the holiday was a sea kayak trip from Lagos. The scenery is breathtaking and paddling in and out of the caves was incredible. One can take a jeep safari and cycle as well; lots to do and see for everyone. The Burgau club across the road has a lovely pool area but the restaurant doesn't open all day until 1st July. It was quite peaceful there with nice facilities. We all agreed that it was a fabulous holiday made special by the suitability of the apartment and a great host. Thank you so much Paul.”

Lovely Relaxing Burgau

We were met by Ana. We were delayed and it was very good of her to meet us at such a late hour! She showed us around and was very helpful. Thank you Ana.
The apartment is in a secure block. It is beautifully furnished with an extremely comfortable bed! The apartment is equipped with everything you may need including internet TV (so we even got to see some Wimbledon!), a good internet connection and efficient, quiet air conditioning throughout, which are a great bonuses. The electric shutters made the apartment very dark in the sunny mornings and the balcony was lovely. We barbecued several times on the balcony!!
The complex across the road was nice (shame the gym has gone) but the Tomik bar was great and very reasonably priced for drinks.
Burgau is beautiful. It was fantastic being able to easily walk to the restaurants (of which there are many), bars and shops and the people are all very friendly and generally speak English. The beach is lovely and the beach bar is a great place to go to have a drink and watch the world go by.
In short, we had a fantastic week, did not want to come home and can't wait to go back! Thank you again.

Excellent apartment
I stayed in Paul's Burgau apartment for one week at the start of May, with my wife. Paul was extremely helpful during the booking process, very honest to deal with and had everything set up to make an excellent stay for visitors. The apartment is very comfortable, well furnished and tastefully decorated, with an en suite room and separate main bathroom alongside the second room. There is a very long veranda and an in-built barbecue for cooking outside. Burgau is a beautiful little village with lovely beaches and warm people- the apartment is 2-3 minutes walk into the restaurants and the beach. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough- especially the owner, who was very fair with us. We intend to come back many more times in the next few years

Fabulous apartment in a hidden gen of a resort
We had a fantastic stay in Paul and Ruth's apartment at the end of April. The apartment is in a fairly new complex in the village of Burgau. The apartment is spacious and finished to a high standard - with all mod cons, including wi-fi and internet TV. The balcony is huge, perfect for sitting out in whether enjoying a meal, reading or just enjoying the view with a cold drink.
We were with our 18 month old daughter and Paul and Ruth were able to provide us with a good quality cot and high chair for our stay (for an additional but small charge). The apartment and the complex felt very safe and secure so there were no worries for us there.
On arrival we were met and greeted by Ana who helps look after the apartment. Ana made us feel very welcome - and was an absolute star in letting us back into the apartment after we'd checked out to retrieve our daughter's favorite cuddly toy!
Burgau is a lovely little fishing village with lots of nice restaurants and a couple of bars. The beach is very nice and very clean. We visited in the early season so it was still fairly quiet - but perfect for us as we were looking for a relaxing break away from the crowds. Within the complex and just a stone throw away from the apartment there's a nice cafe/bar/restaurant (Tomik) - they do a very good and very reasonably priced breakfast.
The location is good. Both Sagres and Lagos are just a short drive and both are well worth a visit.
We'd definitely recommend this apartment to others. Our only regret was not staying for longer!
Thanks to Paul, Ruth and Ana (sorry it's taken a while to get this review up) - we definitely hope to return next year.
