I absolutely loved the entire property It’s beautiful, great bed! Balcony was nice, view and the food was really some of the best food in Greece!

The air conditioning had some issues but was fixed 10 min after we called

If there is a Greek riviera, this must be it. A beautiful modern room in a historic but completely remodeled building with marble, marble, marble and exceptional artwork. Dine inside, just in front, or just across the single lane road/walkway under umbrellas and on the waterfront. Staff are friendly and accomodating. There are many restaurants to choose from lining the waterfront. Watch each morning as the local boats bring in the day's catch. Our room had two balconies! Convenient free parking just behind the hotel.

I felt silly that it took me a few minutes to figure out how to work the shower. It really wasn't difficult.

Everything about the property was perfect a brand new hotel the staff were amazing the position of the hotel is on the front you you walk out the door and you are on the promenade with lots of restaurants bars and cafes so anybody with walking problems it’s perfect.

It doesn’t have a pool but you have the beach and you can use other hotels so long as you spend 7 euros per person you have a sun bed and parasol and can stay all day.

We loved the location of this hotel because it was near the harbour and had a lovely view from the balcony. Also there were many restaurants and cafes nearby, and the hotel has reserved car parks for the guests. The breakfast was served to us from the menu, and we were more than satisfied, especially with the vegetarian omelette. Would definitely recommend to stay there.

The location was perfect. At the one way end of the marina to cross over and i liked the fact that there weren't a hectic traffic of people swerving in and out. The walk to a good part of the beach was short with free beach chairs so that isn't a problem to sit and enjoy a good beach however if you expect a good lounge chair then you need to stay closer to the middle of the marina.

Opulence and luxury, this hotel gives all you could ask of and more. Staff are accommodating, the chef rustled up a beautiful meal for all inclusive of a celiac member of our group, breakfast was generous and fresh, everyone went above and beyond for us. truly beautiful and extremely comfortable.

The location is excellent. The breakfast was full of choice and well presented. The staff were friendly and efficient. We ate dinner there and again good food with lovely and attentive staff

Hard to think of something!

The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was large and elegant, and everything from the toilet seat to the bathroom doors themselves were “soft closing”. The breakfast was ample and delicious, and they brewed an outstanding pour-over coffee. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful, and spoke excellent English.

There is currently construction around the hotel as the city renovated the waterfront. As of 7May2023 it is almost done, and then I will have nothing to complain about.

New building, right on the harbor, overlooking the outdoor seating areas of the restaurants. Breakfast was really good. Highly recommend for a couple wanting to have a very nice, clean place to stay in Kalamata.

Receptionist staff helpful (particularly Ileni). Room clean and spacious, bed comfortable. Wifi was fine. Bathroom marbled, and adequate. No bath, only shower.

Breakfast choices very limited, but OK. Dinner choices very poor...on one day no fish course was available (NB Hotel 50 yards from sea!!), and two of three meat dishes listed were not available. Service at Breakfast was good. Dinner service appalling... having waited twenty minutes to get menus, we waited 37 minutes to be served starters of flat-bread with topping, and on enquiry were told, and I quote, "that's how it long it takes!", even then it was cold having obviously been left standing for some time in the kitchen. Hotel tries to persuade you that it is michelin starred, because of input from a michelin chef (name forgotten) in content of menu. Don't be fooled...the food standard is nothing special. Bedroom "minimalist" furnishings, no rugs/carpets; only one bedside table, little storage - e.g only one drawer (partly used by hairdryer), necessitating need to use suitcases for clothes. Weird lighting switches. No towel rails.

Grand Hotel Kalamata is a new building, a great hotel right by the sea. The pedestrian street in front of it is just being completed. Our room was amazing. We got a better room on the sea side. It also had a balcony. The bed was comfortable, the pillow selection was wide, the sheets and blankets were of high quality, as were the towels. The welcome drink was a nice gesture. Thank you! We found a place for our car in the hotel parking lot. The behavior of the staff is polite and correct, but also cordial. The professionalism didn't cover it up which is great! Kalamata is a fairly large city and the Grand Hotel Kalamata is located on its "edge", that is, if you look from the direction of the center. Of course, the location by the sea is also an advantage.

The breakfast did not quite meet our expectations, although it was plentiful of course. I missed the quality, , e.g. in coffee. Perhaps the young waiter was not yet fully aware of what each breakfast option entailed and could not explain the choices well enough.

Loved the recent renovations with all the marble and the modern feel….location was exceptional….the room itself and the view from the balcony was breathtaking….walkable to many reasonably priced restaurants, coffee shops, etc…..service was first class from the welcome desk, bell boy, waiters to the housekeepers….overall it was an exceptional experience
