Family reunion of eight siblings aged 59 to 75 celebrating what would have been Dad’s 103rd Birthday. We’ve been doing this for ten years all across the country. Great location close to the park. Five bedrooms and five beds in the loft provides plenty of sleeping space and privacy. Mattresses were not of the highest quality but were doable for a three night stay. Hot tub was not the cleanest but wrap around deck provided wonderful refuse in the forest for reading or quiet meditation. Dead end street with very little traffic is an ideal location. Well built log home. But don’t flush toilet at night as the waste pipes were not insulated during construction and sound can be deafening. Do bring your own coffee filters. A bit short on dinner ware so bring your own paper plates too. It gets cold on the lower level, so bring some blankets. A really well laid out cabin and we would book it again- but we will be off to someplace new next year.

This property was honestly great for the location. Clean, safe, cute, up to date! Check in was easy and everything was super smooth. It being 5 minutes from a lot of the hikes was PERFECT too. And only 15 from a walmart.
The only complaints we had was the wifi was nooooooot good at all. For a cabin that holds up to 16 people, I think it should have better wifi. However, I know that’s tough in areas like this and unplugging was nice.
The only other complaint was that for a cabin that fits 16 people, I TV the size of a laptop screen is ridiculously small. We wanted to use it to play games and genuinely couldn’t because no one would be able to read it.
Other than that, I really do recommend this cabin to anyone looking to rent for a big group at an affordable price!

We had 3 families (11 people) here for 5 days, and it was a great place to stay. Everyone fit comfortably. The porch was awesome as we spent lots of time playing games out there and relaxing. The park is quite close and very cool, but we spent most of our time at the house relaxing and catching up. It was great for us.

My stay at this house was overall pleasant, but there was one significant issue that detracted from the experience: the noise coming from a room on the lower level of the house. At around 2:00 am, I was startled awake by an incredibly loud noise, which I suspect was from either the hot tub or sump pump. The noise persisted for a daunting 40 minutes, making it nearly impossible to sleep through. I believe it would be unreasonable to expect anyone to tolerate such disruption during their stay.
To improve the experience for future guests, I strongly suggest that the host's office provides a notice about this potential disturbance, or even consider locking the room altogether. Despite this setback, the rest of the stay was enjoyable, but addressing this noise issue would greatly enhance the overall experience for guests

My biggest pain was how rude the tone of the initial email from the management company was. They make you regret the rental right after you get the email. They scare you with many charges and random visits. They expect you to leave the house clean and leave an envelope for the tip for the cleaner that clearly does not do their job.
On top of that:
* very loud HVAC system (guests unable to sleep)
* dirty hot tub water
* dirty floors everywhere
* very slow draining in the bathroom upstairs
* noisy beds
* absolutely filthy grill
* fridge missing shelves
* smelly drains (especially kitchen)
* dirty bed linens

The cabin was sufficient for our group. No real problems other than the oven did not heat to correct temperature which ruined some dishes and took three times longer than expected for other. There were a few light bulbs out and no batteries in the downstairs remote. I had batteries with me so I put some in there. A couple more baking dishes would be nice but we made do. Thanks for a helping us make family memories!

We had a lovely stay at Dogwood Lane Lodge! The house is clean and as described, and the location is great. There aren’t a lot of frills so bring whatever need and there’s a nice shop a five minute drive away in case you forget anything. Overall, we had a great time! Thank you!

The cabin was beautiful, very clean, and spacious. Good location, easy access. Outdoor living area, hot tub, and wrap around deck are quite nice. The cabin had a great fire pit area also. Wi-fi was strong. However, most cabins this size and expense come with a washer and dryer for guests to use and larger TV's.

Gorgeous, perfect property, artfully designed and well maintained. Beautiful kitchen. Hot tub a big advantage. Effective air conditioning. Lovely bathrooms. Nice touches were bathmats and night lights. Host responsive to questions. Everyone loved it. Thanks for the amazing week.

The house was the perfect place to celebrate my husbands birthday with lifelong friends and family. Everyone was very comfortable and had an excellent time. Awesome location for hiking in Hocking Hills. I would definitely come back.

Everything was nice at the cabin but the manager is rude and makes sure to let you know your a waste of his time and waste yours by not helping out with check in when there's no service to pull emails from months ago. An email closer to the trip with check in code would be nice. I'd prefer to stay somewhere that provides customer service for the price we paid.

The cabin was beautiful and the location was very woodsy and private. The cabin was very clean when we arrived. A great place for family gathering.

Great location and a large cabin . The WiFi was really bad. ( I know , I know , why use the internet but we had a hard time booking things while in cabin) and the outside firepit area was covered with trash. A new fridge is needed but overall was happy with the property.

Coffee pot was broken and fans in the bathrooms start making an awful noise after about 2 mins on. That being said though, the heat kept us plenty warm, the hot tub was great, the appliances helped us make great meals. There are better places for less though. Pics make it look nicer than it is
