We arrived at the property to celebrate our honeymoon, we were really disappointed with the service throughout our stay. The facilities were not as described via booking.com and the images were very outdated, we would never have stayed or paid the money for this hotel if we had known the true picture of what it was like. Upon arrival, the staff members could not find our booking reservation and we were kept waiting for 40 minutes before actually being told that we had a room as they told us that they had overbooked. We had to wait until 2pm then for check in (understandably). When we got to our room, we were really disappointed. I have bad mobility problems and the amount of stairs that we had to climb was so strenuous and exhausting, the hotel were not accommodating at all and we were told this is the only room avaliable. The room was very very hot and the air con unit on the first night leaked water and blew up and we had to turn off at 3am in the morning and were left very very hot. The staff then fixed the AC unit but it was still unbearably hot in the room throughout the stay. We also had no hot water in our shower in the room. The water from the taps was yellow and dirty and we had to use normal bottled water to brush our teeth and wash ourselves. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows provided were terrible and gave us a very bad back and neck ache. It was more comfortable to sleep outside on the balcony and a lot cooler too. We told the staff about the problems we were having on 3 occasions and they failed to do anything about this. They then sent out an engineer on the fourth occasion only after we got very annoyed at the situation and the staff accused us of lying. The engineer came out and agreed that there was a problem. The hotel premises are severely run down and can see that the pandemic has affected the hotel and the rating. Two of the pools were unkempt, dirty and out of use.

Extremely good value for money. Room was spacious and clean. Food was pretty good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, great service, gave a contact for motorcycle rentals. Nice pools and private beach. Free shuttles to and from the pier

No bidets in the bathroom. Lots of stairs and a bit of a walk to get to the rooms, especially if your room is far away from reception or the restaurant, which is not really wheelchair-/PWD-friendly.

In general, pretty underwhelmed by the property. The resort has two sides I believe - the 3-star accommodation (that we had booked into) and the more upmarket side of the property. Upon check-in, there wasn't much description given about the property layout/facilities, so we were a little lost on where the pool/s were located, any restaurants, etc. We were told snorkel equipment could be rented from the beach bar, but still not sure where that was. The breakfast/all-day dining restaurant was really quiet and silent. Same for the Italian poolside bar - no music, and it just all felt very strange/silent - no atmosphere at all. Breakfast was average. Service was average. Our room was on the top floor of the accommodation block - be prepared for plenty of stairs when you stay! The first night we had no water. We went out for dinner, and when we returned, the bathroom was covered in dirty water/soiled, I guess from when the water was turned back on. The movable shower head didn't work/stay up, so to shower, you needed to hold the shower hose by hand (this was fixed the next day once we'd reported it). The rooms are very tired and rundown - all needs a little TLC in general. Towels and linens were well-worn and fraying but clean.

There is no bars or restaurants after 10am, it’s a quite area and it could be nice to have an opportunity to have a drink while listening to a relaxed ambient music at least until 11pm

Amazingly beautiful, staff are incredibly kind and food is delicious. Haadtien is truely a paradise getaway! Free taxi service to and from the main town is provided saving a lot of money as taxis are expensive here.

The food menu’s incur a 10% and 7% surcharges which is not common in Thailand. As a result food and drink is quite expensive.

It was our honey moon and the hotel surprised us with an amazing room, much better than expected. The views are amazing, and since it is in a very quiet area it makes it even more special. The staff was amazing and very helpful at all times. Breakfast was AMAZING. The pool is beautiful and literally next to the sea.

The only setback of the room was how high up it was. I wish it had a different entrance for that area. But it was a 5-10 stair walk up/down.

Lidia the receptionist at Haadtien was excellent. My husband had a motorbike accident right outside of the resort entrance and was roughed up pretty well...I explained to Lidia that the sheets were effected as his injuries bled through the wound dressing over night and I could not get the stains out myself (I tried!) She was so helpful and caring. She not only asked the manager to assist us (and the lovely manager did not charge us anything extra for the sheets!) but she also lent us the first aid kit before going to town to buy supplies which really helped a lot. She has top notch service and is very kind and friendly! The whole staff was very nice and speak English very well, we felt at home! We also really enjoyed our friend Hein who works at the restaurant! He was so kind and gave us amazing service too. We loved this resort!! Service and scenery gets an A+

The staff were excellent and super helpful with all our requests. The shuttle service to Mae Head/Sairee Beach was helpful and the views from the balcony and resort gardens were stunning.

We were upgraded to a “better” room which was debatable. The shower in the bathroom was lacking power or heat which was disappointing. Our balcony door seal was broken so even thought the door was closed and lock, mossies and insects could get in. Also, a lot of work was being done to tidy up the resort so lots of loud noise was made and our side of the resort was like a ghost town as we were the only guests. An isolated resort so if you want some atmosphere, pick a resort in Sairee Beach.

Beautiful location and setting. Relaxing place to stay with lovely pools. Staff is always available and very helpful. A special thanks to Katie, the Operational Mgr, for helping out stay to be memorable, by solving our wifi issues.

we were first in Ocean View room, which requires many stairs to climb. This was not mentioned during the booking process. Great that Katie helped us upgrade to one of the bungalow rooms. wifi connections are poor and slow.

I liked this hotel so much. the staff is super kind and helpful. the pools are lovely and the breakfast is good. the location (beach) is amazing. this coud be considered a 5 star resort! we spend the Christmas there and the X-mas dinner was beautiful location by the pool and delicious. We drunk so many glasses of champagne that we couldn’t even count!

me and my gf stayed 3 nights at this hotel and none of the days we got a pool or beach chair. They need to provide some extra pool/beach chairs. Also in our room there was a connecting door to the neighbour’s room, closed of course. I felt unconfortable because I’m sure that the neighbour could hear our noises while doing our wild sex.
