Love it

there was no shower door and breakfast portions were smaller than we'd like

Alfredo at reception was fantastic. He helped us book a lot - tours, transportation, dinner reservations. It was our honeymoon and we were given a bottle of wine for the occasion. Our transportation to leave was very early in the morning, before restaurants opened and Alfredo gave us some free fruit for the trip. Safe to say the customer service was exceptional. The room was really big which was nice. Double sinks was a plus. The pool was good.
I am pretty certain the ceiling isn’t actually fully enclosed underneath the bamboo. There were a lot of ants crawling on the walls and a gecko in our room all which seemed to come from the ceiling as the only sliding door to the room appeared to be sealed tight. We could clearly hear the room next to us watching TV and coughing. The king sized bed had a giant hump in the middle so we had to sleep on either side of it. The location is okay. It seemed like it was kind of at the end of the strip with all the restaurants and shops one way from it and nothing the other direction.

nice big room and shower,
hair dryer in room
have some tea and boiler in room
loved chairs and table in prvate terrace and hamock
not noisy even if close to main street
lots of privacy, you have your own entrance and exit dont need to pass through reception
pool is cool but no ambiance there
a bit expensive for what it offer. 220 dollars per night in costa rica its kind of money

We thought this hotel was a great pick and would highly recommend it to others staying in Santa Teresa.
We had our own pool side Villa, with a hammock on the porch. The room was really nice and a good size, plenty of room for us to spread out in. The pool was really nice, and provided some respite from being in the sun all day on the beach.
We never got round to eating at the hotel (we never actually worked our where the restaurant was?) But nearly everything is walkable from the hotel and there are loads of fantastic places to eat in Santa Teresa. I can highly recommend the restaurant that is immediately next door to the hotel (El Facon) for dinner. And I also recommend the cafe that is next door to that restaurant - it does really nice breakfasts and brunch - you really are spoilt for choice for good places to eat in Santa Teresa.
The staff at the hotel were super helpful. My phone broke whilst on our trip, which was a nightmare as it meant I couldn't access my emails (as logging in from a new device meant I'd be sent a text message to verify it was me). We had prebooked our ferry and the lady on reception really went out of her way to try and check with the ferry company that it had our booking.
We got some laundry done through the hotel and some of the clothes came back with white marks on them - some of which didn't come off - not great when some of the clothes had literally only been worn once.
We were in villa 5 and early in the morning there was often loud banging noises, the sounds of scraping chairs etc. just the other side of the wall, which often woke me up. Whilst the noise is probably unavoidable, it might help to put in some sound insulation if possible, for future guests.
This has nothing to do with the hotel, but walking through Santa Teresa is not fun. It really, really needs a pavement/sidewalk along the main road. If you walk anywhere, you have to walk in the road and constantly dodge traffic. I suppose it's alright if you are an adult, but we had a three year old with us, but didn't want to drive every time we went out - something to bear in mind if you are thinking about staying in Santa Teresa with little un's.

The manal hotel had a good location, you have good access to the beach, local shops, and restaurants.
We liked hotel, we do not have any further suggestions.

Quiet setting away from the road but convenient to the beach and restaurants, privacy from other guests/bungalows, breakfast delivered to the bungalow.

nice location and parking was available within the property. staff was pleasant
Quite run down, with several items not functioning correctly. The door of the room we reserved could not be locked and we had to spend one day in a different room, much worse than what we paid for. The damage was known but hadn’t been fixed prior to our arrival, and they did not refund us is any way. Overall overpriced for what you get.

we loved having our own bungalow which was super spacious and managed to have 2 massage tables in there. the shower area is as super.
when we had a thunderstorm the bathrooms were very very smelly! same thunderstorm caused a 4hr blackout. Breakfast could be substantially improved. much better options around.

The grounds, pool area, and bungalows at this hotel were so well kept and lush. The breakfast was delicious, and very conveniently delivered to a table outside our bungalow. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I loved the hammock, the chairs and table on the terrace, and the large shower. The location right across the road from a cut through to the beach and next door to several nice restaurants and a cafe was just great.
We wished there were screens on the windows so that we could let the early morning air in instead of needing the air conditioner. Sometimes it was cooler outside our room than in it. An exhaust fan in the shower would have been helpful. I wished the pool lounge chairs were more comfortable, and could lay flat so that I could lay out on my stomach or back.

May be the location
No dinner room or cafeteria, breakfast was leaving outside the room, the reception room very uncomfortable, the young man behind the desk, very irrespective, not really a good experience.

The property is close to an absolutely beautiful beach, which isn’t too developed but perfect for walking, sunsets and coconuts. The room was a good size and quiet. Also very close to some great breakfast places and also would highly recommend the nearby outside food court - great choice of food and beers, some of the best we had anywhere in Costa Rica.
The room was a little musty. The pool was ok but people were just leaving their towels everywhere and blocking the loungers, a bit annoying.

location was quiet. not far from beach - free parking
room did not have a coffee maker or kitchen which we understood we would have. Santa Teresa is very expensive! Pool area could be updated And cleaned

Very cute hotel, rooms are very comfortable.
Small details make a difference. Hotel should provide guests with bottled water in the room for free

Spacious and clean rooms, they were cleaned each day upon request. Towels, beach towel, beach chairs, safe, fridge, wifi, toiletries provided. It was very peaceful as it’s set back from the main road. The pool area is lovely and well maintained. Friendly & helpful staff! We stayed over Christmas and wine, chocolate & a gift was added to the room to celebrate which was a nice touch. There’s also a fridge in reception selling refreshments if needed.
