The owner was very easy to work with! Really nice!!!
The condo was very basic, nothing fancy. The complex, Venetian Palms is just ok, but is convenient. We were in the condo for 6 weeks while we searched for a home to purchase.
The kitchen is very small. Because of the size and layout, we never cooked there and only used the fridge for drinks. The appliances (coffee maker and toaster) were not usable. Washer and dryer were sufficient.
The furnishings were old and worn, but comfortable enough.
In this case - it was worth what we paid. Was one of the most reasonably priced we found for the time we needed. Would not choose if I were looking for a fancy vacation, but was sufficient.
Be aware: the closet in the second bedroom is locked and the person in that room has to use the hall closet. Not ideal, but my daughter made it work.
The condo association does require a background check and also requires a LOT of information on the tenants that I did find intrusive. But once we moved in I never saw anyone or had any dealings with them. Double check the cost of the background check - ad on VRBO had the cost much lower than what I ended up having to pay. However, the owner did take care of the discrepancy. As I stated before - he could not have been easier to deal with.
Parking is ok.... one assigned covered space, but at the time of year we rented, (non-season) we never had any issues finding a place to park.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The complex is very well maintained with beautiful grounds. The unit is well maintained and communication with the owner and property manager was very easy. They addressed any concerns that we had timely and efficiently. Would stay again. Thanks!

Make sure if you stay here take pictures when you get there and before you leave because they try to overcharge you for different little things. There was a roach problem throughout our whole two month stay, even after the exterminators were called, starting day 1. The dishwasher was unusable for the first month due to it. The apartment is redone, but that is about all it has going for it. We were then charged 450 in damages for a little mark on the wall which we do not recall doing, a water stain that we believe to be from a former leak in the apartment, and a cleaning fee when we cleaned everything in the apartment including the rugs and linens and appliances, etc.

When we first walked into the condo we could smell cigarette smoke. It was supposed to be a non smoking unit. Next we discovered that there was a roach infestation. We had to pack up and leave. There is no way you can get cigarrette smoke and roaches out of a condo in A-day or two. We are still trying to get our money back.

Stay was great. Everything was as described. One closet in spare BR is used for owners things. It is not usable. Just an FYI. We used the entry closet for an additional closet to make it work. Property is close to lots of restaurants and just a short drive to several beaches. Thank you.

The condo was nice however I spent the first day cleaning the unit. The sinks and shower looked as if they were just wiped off, not actually cleaned. The guest bath smelled like wet dog, scrubbed toilet and shower, cleaned pet hair from drain, did not help with odor. Used about 8 stiffer wipes to clean up pet hair in both bedrooms. Mopped the floors water was black once completed. Spent the last day cleaning so the next tenant wouldn’t have to go through what we did. Residents in other units were very friendly. Owner stated his cleaning lady would be the one to meet us at the unit. If she is truly the cleaning lady you may want to replace her.

This property was a nice condo in a great complex. Pool and complex amenities are great. While owner and property manager were responsive to maintenance issues, we had some issues dealing with the cleanliness upon arrival and cleaning fees charged after leaving. Condo was very unclean upon arrival with dog hair covering everything. We cleaned the condo ourselves and in hindsight would recommend contacting the housekeeper/ property manager immediately if found in same shape we found it in. Upon leaving the property, we contacted the housekeeper
/ property manager to find out what needed to be done and were told to just take out trash, wash dishes and bedsheets. In addition housekeeper/ property manager did a walk though while we were still there and said everything looked great. A week later I received a huge excessive cleaning fee. If renting this property I would take photos and ensure you get something in writing during the final walk though that the place looks good and that no cleaning fee will be charged.

Check in was super easy, the property manager is extremely helpful and flexible. Neighborhood is safe and charming place to stay. The condo was clean and very homely feeling as someone who travels often, would stay here again!

My husband and I rented this property from 9/1/2019-11/30/2019 while we were having a home built in the area. The space is modest, furnished as a rental property. It sits on the corner of the parking lot with the dumpster opposite. All windows overlooking this scene. It is a half block from 2 very commercial streets so there is traffic noise. Rentals for similar units are much less. We were charged even more in November because it was “in season “. Halfway through our stay the expanded cable quit. The owner charged an additional charge per month to reinstate it. We vacated the property on 11/25, informing his “property manager” (aka his neighbor) that the property was ready for inspection, as per the owner’s instructions. No negative feedback or comments were heard from this manager. We received a message from the owner informing me that he would be in the area the following week and that he had our deposit check. The next week his message stated that he was retaining the deposit to repair damage to his well worn faux leather furniture. I informed him that he could purchase brand new faux leather furniture for half that amount. He claimed he had a quote to substantiate his claim which he refused to furnish. This is not the first time he has found an excuse to keep a deposit. Bottom line, you will be overcharged for a basic space and he will find a reason to keep your deposit. There are much nicer neighborhoods for that price. Buyer beware!
