This is the second time our family has stayed at the Old Nest. We love it there! It is spacious, charming & has a great view of lake Erie! We plan to go again next year!

My family of 10 adults stayed this past weekend. The house was very comfortable! Space space space! We all enjoyed how much space we had, loved the 5 bedrooms, beds comfortable. So nice to have towels and linens supplied. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about this home and the views could not ne better! We have a big crew and all were very happy! Amanda was quick to respond fantastic to work with! 1st stay at Kelley's as we usually go to Put In Bay. Could not be happier! We plan to book again and for a longer stay and at a time when kids can island hop if they choose too! This house is 100% for us!

We love staying here. The view is beautiful, the location is perfect, and the house is spacious and feels like home! We will definitely rent again!

Beautiful home and wonderful location on water very close to downtown activities at Kelley's. Would highly recommend this for your stay while on the island.

Great view and relaxing front porch. Well stocked. Authentic cottage! We did pull out the vacuum to get rid of some of the spider webs (which I get, we are near the lake), and it smelled like the bag hadn't been changed in years.

Relaxing, incredibly accommodating, warm and inviting. Every room was a treasure. Thank you for the relaxation and the opportunity to create new memories.

This is THE most charming historical property on the island. My friends and I had a magical experience from cozy fires on the water to morning cups of coffee on the beautiful porch, over looking the lake. The blend of historic charm and water life was one if the best experiences! A+++

The view was beautiful! We were able to walk to the grocery and some restaurants. We bought our car along. Very few places to park on the island. The house was infested with spider webs and spiders. We wondered if that’s a island thing? We spent most of our time on the porch. Enjoyed the coffee at the house. I doubt we will recommend the house because of the spiders and over priced for this stay.

The location is excellent. The house was interesting and very comfortable and accommodating. The view from the front yard is spectacular. We really enjoyed our visit!

Property location was great, you can walk to the small town area. You are paying for a great view and a place to relax.

We have been having an annual Kelley's Island Girls weekend since 2014. It includes Aunts, Moms, Daughters & Cousins. In the past we have stayed at the Kelley's Island Venture Resort. We always walk form the resort to town & admired your home. We found it on VRBO & decided to give it a try. WE LOVED IT!!! The gals already want to book for next year. Thank you for sharing your amazing piece of paradise with us. The only thing the ladies mentioned that they would fix is better lighting in the dining & living rooms. We play a lot of board games & it was hard to see later in the evening. Again, thank you for being a SUPER HOST!!! Jen Fike

We had plenty of room in this spacious home for 7 adults. The view from the front porch is beautiful. This is our second time staying at this home and plan to come again!

Great location with easy walk to town and amazing water and sunset views. The owners were extremely helpful.

Positives: Great part of town-close to ferry-lake front! Spacious House-lotsa bedrooms-good showers-good bath towels that smell good…Great yard, small fire pit by lake that is very nice and awesome porch with nice swings! Negatives: Housekeeper’s Big Dogs left fresh Stanley steamer dog pile of Pooh that was disgusting for us to clean up by steps!!! All The windows and sills covered in spider webs debree and dirt and gross stuff in every window totally gross-everywhere- House totally filled with SPIDERS everywhere and I mean everywhere- Woke up with them crawling on me! And have two bites on my legs- They covered the ceilings in dining and living g room and bathrooms- I killed like 17 spiders but there was still 20 more I couldn’t reach- Totally horrible! I have gone on camping trips and lived in a tent with less bugs! And I love the outdoors! I have owned lake houses before and this is totally fowl! Plus there were fresh mice Turds every morning n the kitchen snd i. The utensil drawer’s! How unsanitary! And the door knobs came off- Unsatisfactory to say the least! Will never stay here again and can not recommend- I’d say their housekeeper stinks-and the owners don’t care or have never set foot in the house in years! I’ve read the reviews and the owner gives smarter remarks to people who give negative reviews! Unprofessional!

Loved the location and the house was charming. Biggest issue was spiders and other bugs is the house. Several of my group live on a lake and understand the spider issue, but it seemed they had not been dealt with for a very long time. The holes in the screens let all the other bugs in

We enjoyed our stay at this fantastic property! Time spent relaxing, talking, and the beautiful lakefront view all made the stay, most of it spent on the front porch, a wonderful much-needed weekend.

Loved our stay. it worked out perfect for our family. We already have it booked for next year for our yearly mini family vacation. the rooms were great, and the view from the front porch was just breath taking. yeah, lots of spiders. but that is expected that close to the water. looking forward to many mini vacations to this property again.

Absolute gem! The Old Nest was perfect for our long weekend getaway with friends. The kids loved the gliders on the front porch and we all enjoyed the gorgeous lake view. Fires by the water were a perfect way to end the day. Plenty of space for everyone to relax and play. Hope to visit again and would definitely stay here!

This property is a historic home as advertised. It met our needs for the two nights we stayed on the Island. Property has a great view, great yard space and is just a short walk to downtown.

Will be coming back next year! Awesome house with the best location!
