Great location. Pet friendly. Front desk helped rectify an error we made while booking, saving us from having to look for a different hotel.
Very very clean. Well kept, but sparse- as expected for a two star hotel.
We paid for breakfast. The front desk (same lady) overheard me tell my wife that we would likely leave too early for breakfast. As a result, “she didn’t prepare any breakfast” for us and would not let us partake in any of the dry goods.
She never told us of her intention to “cancel” our breakfast and never offered to refund us the amount.
Despite going out of her way to help us the day before, handing my two daughters a croissant and cheese was apparently too much to ask. She would not even apologize for her her assumption.
I’ve been in 100s of hotels and never once did one refuse us breakfast if we paid for it or were willing to.
It is a pity. I would have rated Avalon much higher if not for her rudeness. Ultimately I recommend you avoid this place and stay at the wonderful Hotel Restaurant Ölmühle where we had a fabulous dinner (assuming you do not have pets).
Hotel is on a main road. Loud at night.

Breakfast was great and Hotel receptionist was very nice and helpful. She made you feel at home especially at breakfast. Hotel was close, walking distance to restaurants and nightlife!
Maybe have hot sauce available at breakfast.

Mike and his wife were perfect hosts. My room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was nice and the location was perfect. Very close to restaurants and pubs. Highly recommend this hotel.

The bed was perfect, I had the best sleep in ages.
The staff filled paper products, without being asked.
The breakfast spread had a variety to choose from.
They gave us a bigger room with 3 beds. We used the third bed to hold our suitcases .

Staff was very friendly and knowledge. Great location. Very close to bus and train station. Excellent breakfast each morning. Made our reservation less than an hour before we arrived and paid a fair price. Would definitely stay again next time we visit Landstuhl.

Spotlessly clean! Very good breakfast, and wonderful staff. I love that it is also pet friendly. This is where we stay whenever we’re in Landstuhl!

Getting a room WITH breakfast for the price they charge is unbelievably good!!! If you stay anywhere near Landstul I recommend this hotel also the staff and owners are very personable and polite

Typical German and very tasty. On time and plenty. Was able to schedule to meet my needs.
Driveway was often slow to get in due to traffic of the area. But parking was available in front and back.

Location downtown Landstuhl is within walking distance of everything that is needed. The owners are great, friendly couple. For those that would like to go for hikes, there's literally a castle that is right behind and a short walk up the hillside from the hotel.
For the price, nothing to complain about. Breakfast in the morning, plenty of places to eat, grocery stores a few blocks away. Free parking, nope, nothing to dislike.

The staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is clean and well kept. The breakfast is light and a perfect start to the day. The location is amazing. If you walk down to the city center you can see ancient chapels, monuments and history at every corner. If you take the short easy walk up the hill behind the hotel you will end up at the castle ruins of Berg Nanstein pretty amazing.
I liked everything about the place. It was a good value and a great place.
