Some rooms are better than others. I’d recommend you request a recently refurbished quiet one away from the talking lifts.

3 night stay with my daughter so we could commute into London for Ideal home exhibition and England women v USA at Wembley.
Good location next to rail station and view over the canal. Staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in and with advice regarding travel. Plenty choice at breakfast and replenished quickly.
Room was warm and clean. All in all great stay and would return.

Extremely friendly staff a quick check in with all information needed given. Helpful advice about places nearby.
The only down side and it was ok was the narrowness of the duvets on a single bed but that is being a bit picky and did give us a giggle!!! As we are larger it looked like we had been given a size 10-12 but needed an 18 plus!!!! We slept well though as very comfy beds. We always use premier inn as you know what you get but we are SO glad we took a chance here…. MUCH nicer! Thank you

Nothing to complain about but nothing magical or special either. Good budget basic accommodation. You always know what you’re going to get. Breakfast comes included, which is getting less common at this price range.

Easy to find and located close to several amenities that were needed. Double sized bed was not very comfortable so much so that my wife ended up sharing pull out sofa bed with our daughter. Bathroom shows poor standard of upkeep, mould etc. We went for breakfast at 9 where the was slim pickings of cooked breakfast items which were cold when eaten.

The people next door kept us awake till early hours of the morning and the noise form upstairs was clear from the lack of carpet on the hallways so could hear every case draped along the floor so overall didn't sleep well but beds where comfortable and service was great

Good location with many eateries nearby - across a canal - so there’s a nice canal side walk too. Rooms are comfy. Breakfast is okay - would be nice to have some fresh fruit salad (to go with yogurt); the fresh fruit available - bananas, apples and oranges were old - they should be refreshed and replaced if not taken. For ‘Complimentary’ free breakfast - there was the usual choice which was adequate - including soy milk and gluten-free bread - which is great! Free parking is another bonus. Will definitely stay again.

Rooms were ave. But were comfortable enough for a short stay. Tv didnt work in any of tge 4 rooms booked. Breakfast choice was limited such as only 1 type of egg (scrambled) and toasters were very slow. This would be an issue if the length of stay was more than a coulle of nights as it would become very repetitive. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help. Any issues reported were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Really helpful manager on duty that helped with an early check in . She also kindly considered our son's learning disabilities and allowed his two small therapy dogs to stay too. Waitron at breakfast worked really hard at constantly cleaning tables and stocking up breakfast items. Cleaners did a wonderful job in the room. Parking was useful and well situated

Convenient location with free parking outside. Bedroom & bathroom very clean & well presented. Our disappointment was the breakfast and dining area. It appeared messy and not very well stocked.

I didn't like the room doors, whenever we had to close the door properly we had to make a bit of effort which creates noise. same if other people were closing their room door, we would wake up to the noise the door would make.
Otherwise I liked the room, yet it feels like the rooms could use some renovation.

Room was far too small for 3 people. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Pillows were hard too. Staff were lovely, can’t fault them. Breakfast good but coffee cold.

Hotel is beginning to look tired. Cleanliness has gone down hill. Breakfast plates and glass very dirty. Quite off putting

The room was way below expected holiday inn standards. Two days we stayed there no room cleaning or linen done and the carpet grossly dirty and damp. The check inn took time rooms changed last minute with no warning after waiting for 3 hrs to check on . Breakfast is ok but some food over cooked next to burnt eg sausages. No fridge in the rooms nor enough space to have tea or work table

Helpful friendly staff, complimentary shammpoo, conditioner, soap,comfy beds, free parking (although spaces pretty tight), free breakfast, free wifi,good location with nice restaurants nearby, good vfm.
Room (531) very warm even with suppied fan, weak shower, tv would be better if higher, and the 'overbed lightbox pelmet' need moving as looks like it's designed for a 'central' double bed (rather then the two singles with the bedside table inbetween), as hit my head twice on the sharp corner of it when sitting up in bed.

I have been coming here for years . I used to live in the area and my best friend Joan lived just across from the hotel . Helen James Marie Zach Sylvie Cameron and all of the staff , the lovely cleaners are all friendly professional and do a grand Job . Ellie seems very efficient and nice with it . I have just met her this trip . Excellent hotel only thing I dislike is the food and that is mother staff’s fault . I guess upper management make more than enough with corporate bookings with rooms and don’t want to mither about the food . Before the pandemic it was better . No reflection on the chef at all she died her very best with what resources she’s allowed bless her .

Check in team leader at the reception was prompt and courteous upon my check out in the late afternoon on 4 July. The hotel staff were helpful and provided extra jugs of iced water and warm water upon request.

The staff were very good in every capacity. I had to bring to the attention of the hotel manager the state of the room a damaged desk chair a remote control with the battery cover held on with a piece of tape the toilet lid cover was broken and held together with some glue there was some damage to the wall just covered with some filler and not repainted and the evening dinner left little to be desired

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
A Wonderful location, canal & harbour walks.
We had a family meal in the dog friendly paper mill pub next door.
It was just a nice atmosphere inside and outside the hotel. It exceeded our expectations, and We were over the moon with our air conditioned rooms.
Breakfast was delicious and included in our booking, not added on, - a nice touch.
Well done holiday Inn.
And a big thanks to Zach on reception, the iced water dispenser in reception was always fresh.
We will definitely be back.

Rooms are NOT air conditioned in the slightest — and windows do not open more than an inch. A fan is provided to “cool down” an otherwise sweltering room. Staff don’t seem to care about comfort.
Expedia listing indicates a EV charger on-site but it does not exist, the nearest charger is at a nearby supermarket.
Breakfast was good, but staff friendliness and effort to help guests needs significant improvement.
