We were not inform that this location was under construction before we arrived. I tripped over so many mats and was very lucky not to fall. The reception area was two blocks away and so was the breakfast room. Trying to enjoy some quite time was impossible.

The hotel is under construction, but we were never bothered by the noise. The room was a little small but met our needs. The pool was nice, and the dj with music at the pool was awesome. Breakfast was very good even if you had to go to the other building.

There is a ton of renovations happening that cut down on the overall cleanliness of this older facility. I loved how close it was to shopping and places to eat. While I’m a major dog lover, but there was a dog that was constantly barking. They should have thicker insulation if they continue to be pet friendly l.

Hotel room phone didn't work. No airport shuttle. Loud construction all day. Mostly positives after that. Good location, nice beach near by and shopping center.

One night stay and while there's construction ongoing somehow eyesore isnt horrible. You do tend to drag in debris.The reception/check -in/ breakfast is in an entirely different building, short 5min walk (good thing no rain) to get the worst coffe ever but there was hot beakfast. I dont eat much in the am, so no BF for me.

Hotel room was very clean, staff was super friendly. breakfast was delicious. Part of the hotel was under construction. SO there was two buildings to commute between. Loved the pool area and entertainment. I will most definitely book a stay again.

Hotel staff was welcoming and friendly. Place is being renovated but it didnt effect our stay at all. The only problem we had was that our coffee maker was broke but they brought us a new one immediately. Close to Coligny Beach and alot of dog friendly restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast can get better, I think there should be a bit of variety in proteins.

We stayed for the weekend Aug 2nd- Aug 4th. On Google it seemed as though the property is close to the beach, that is the reception check in center. The hotel part is close to the back. You drive in to check in then head to the back of the property, which was a bit misleading. Adults and older kids would be fine for the walk but my younger ones could not. Especially, coming back from a day at the beach. The continental breakfast was good , down side is having to walk to the main building to get it. It was fine on days that were not raining but definitely inconvenient if it was raining. Overall it was an ok stay. The pool and outdoor area games was nice. My kids enjoyed finding the turtles in the pond. The hotel is also currently going under major renovations which would have been nice to know. During the week there will be construction going on 8:00 am to 5:00 I believe she said.

Better directions on how to get to the office while place is under construction. Should also mention that breakfast is not in the same building as the rooms.

Very disappointed with this stay- the construction was outright dangerous with not appropriate guardrails to protect our small children. We checked out a day early from our two day stay and they refused to give us our money back for the second night despite checking out well before 11 am- the hotel manager said that because we booked through hotels.com there was nothing they could do

Nice just was going through unexpected renovations

Construction caused issues. It did not appear that much was getting done. We have stayed there before, & that is why we didnt mark them lower because we have faith that it will hopefully be better the next time. We stayed in room 433. The beds were so-so. No one slept well because they felt worn out, but the room looked nice. They were using the small a/c to cool the entire room which worked well for the common area, bur the bathroom had issues. The toilet didnt work right, the toilet paper holder and towel bars were broken loose, there was no a/c in the bathroom or exhaust fan, so it would get so hot in there when you closed the door that it would make us nauseous. The elevators and hallways had issues. One elevator was lit by battery opperated tap lights, and neither elevator had airflow, so you couldnt breathe in them. The pool was nice, & there was a movie on Tuesday night until almost 10 PM. The breakfast was good as it usually is. The microwave in our room made a noise like it was fixing to explode, so we were cautious when using it. They stocked Dove body products, and those were filled. They did provide a make-up washcloth which many do not. There were enough towels, and the pressure in the shower was okay. Overall, for the price point, we spent just over $400 for two nights on Monday and Tuesday night in July in a room that was within walking distance to Coligny Beach. We enoyed the trees, but with all of the construction it is a hassle if you are unfamiliar.

The Holiday Inn Express was undergoing construction. The construction area resulted in a fair number of parking spaces being unavailable. (After I reserved the hotel I did receive a notification from the hotel - via Expedia- that construction was taking place at the hotel.) One of the two elevators was not functioning on Saturday July, but I believe it was fixed after a few hours. The front desk staff were very friendly.

I've stayed at many of your Holiday Inn express suites in Bluffton, Beaufortand Charleston... they were all very clean and comfortable. The hotel at Hilton head on Tanglewood Dr, was the worst!!! When we arrived, the room keys did not open the door, we had to wait 30 minutes before someone finally opened the door, while standing in the hallway with our luggage and there was no luggage cart! There was only a half a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom! The carpet was soaking wet, probably from the AC. They moved us to another room, which people had been smoking in, the stench was intolerable! Then we were moved to a 3rd room and the AC wasn't working the first night and we woke up in a sweat! They had to change out the AC unit the next day! The exhaust fans in the bathrooms didn't really vent well in any of the rooms. Lastly, the front desk and the dining area were in a different building... not very convenient! Sonia, Carlos and Juan were very nice and did as much as they could given the circumstances! I have to say your hotel should be the crown jewel of your hotels!!! I will never stay in this Hilton Head Holiday Inn express ever again!!!

Drawer handles broken and hanging off one side. Shower plug broken laying in tub. Not cleaned well, beds not made some days.

There were many things in the room that did not work - refrigerator, tv, and the bathtub would not drain. There was not a lot of parking for guests. The hotel is within walking distance to the public beach access. I would probably not stay at this hotel again.

The renovation going on limits the parking at the hotel which made it super hard and inconvenient to park! Also we got a room with a nonusable balcony. We were really looking forward to use our balcony but was unable to. Our view was a drywall from construction and trash.

The room was not cleaned, we were not informed about construction on the property, and the breakfast was terrible! This was my second time staying here and I was very unhappy about my stay this year.

This is not where you want to go right now! They are doing construction and renovation and we had a horrible experience and no sleep!
