Only real issue was the TV worked for about 10 min an then quit

No breakfast available because health department closed the kitchen two years ago. Parking lot was quite littered with refuse. The room itself was fine, clean and with all the essentials.

Becoming a very nice property. Remodel is ongoing, rooms very clean and fresh. Sprawling place, being a convention center, so may have a bit of walking.

I did realize when I first booked with Hotels.com that the Kearney Inn & Convention Center was being renovated. When I arrived at the room, the door was broken, and I had to ask for a new room. In the evening the crickets came in to the room. Not sue from where. In the morning I woke up to the sounds of construction. The Kitchen was not open due to construction. So no breakfast. I do say that the young man at the desk when I checked in was very nice.

Hotels.com allowed booking of a room the hotel did not even offer! Reserved a 2 bed suite with a pullout couch the hotel did not have such a room. The hotel change us to two standard rooms so 4 beds at no extra charge,

They are in the middle of doing updates to this hotel and they eliminated carpet in the rooms which I like it felt cleaner when you took your shoes off. The bed was comfortable. It was a king size we had five pillows and it was just looking updated will definitely use it again Breakfast service wasn’t working yet because they are going to be serving more than just cereal and donuts and the regular continental fare. Looks like they will be a warm or a hot breakfast. It wasn’t working this time because they’re in the middle of fixing up. The pool looked clean. There wasn’t an overwhelming smell of chlorine, but we didn’t go swimming because it was cooler and even though the pool was inside, it just didn’t feel like a swimming day.

The accoustic made hearing the tv impossible...it was "remodeled".. but that was paint and an old refrigerator...it was clean but a road side motel would have edged this yhing out

You can tell they have some great things in the process as they are remodeling. However putting guests in half put together/finished rooms was kind of frustrating. The halls were dity, the room itself was basically clean but it was half updated and half old items. Rust around the drains and and old shower head with build-up in a newer shower was not comforting. The beds were updated but the random couch was old and has some discoloration. The pool area looked nice but we didn't have time to try it out.

This review takes into account that the property was going through a major renovation when I stayed overnight. It would be nice for their website to reflect that as I would not have chosen to stay there. There is construction happening everywhere and I had to walk through a pile of broken tiles and debris to get to my room. The room I stayed in still needs some updating…the AC unit was halfway falling off the wall. The bed was brand new and comfortable, though, and my stay was quiet. So, all in all, it was ok. The hotel overall seems pretty run down (hence the renovation) but I did it have any MAJOR problems.

Rented room for the pool and it was closed down but property didn’t say anything about that until we came down and asked which way to the pool.

I booked a room with 2 queen beds, was given a room with 2 full beds. We were a party of 3 large adults. I asked to be moved or given an extra room. My request was refused and I was told that a person is not guaranteed the type of room that they book.
Hotel is undergoing a remodel. The remodel is being very poorly done. Rooms were noisy due to cheap construction.

We weren’t aware of the major renovations being done at the hotel until we arrived. The place was nearly empty and construction everywhere. We only saw one employee while there when we checked in and could not ever locate anyone after that. Room was clean and supposedly all renovated but there was a hole in the bathroom wall, rusty old toilet paper holder, grout looked old and the bed, although new, wasn’t very comfortable. The slider door out to the pool was very hard to slide.

The hotel is under construction. You can tell there has been issues since the flood a few years ago but they are working on things. My room was completely redone and very nice. The pool area or main area is very humid which causes a little smell. Channel guides would have been nice but that was the only inconvenience

The older hotel is undergoing renovations from a Wyndham property to a Choice /Clarion property. Lots of construction noise during the day. Few amenities—no hair dryer, no continental breakfast, no room phones. The Kearney area is very busy so this was one of the few locations available for the days we needed.

This hotel is under renovation and in all honesty should not be open during the process. There is construction equipment and other items throughout the hotel. The outside of the hotel looks like the weeds, dirt, etc. haven't been touched in forever. When going to our room, the outside door to the hotel did not require a key, which is not safe. There was a bad storm and the rooms flooded and pool area backed up, leaving the pool closed. Unpleasant smell throughout the hotel (mold, damp). Our room was renovated and clean upon arrival. Staff did not take concerns into account and other people within our group did not get compensated for conditions of their room. The health department and code inspectors should be looking into this property!

This hotel changed ownership and is still terrible. It used to be one of the best hotels in town. Now it is a complete disaster. 3/4 of the main floor around the pool and bar were flooded. There hasn’t been a breakfast option in over a year. Can’t remember the last time the bar was open. Updates to rooms show little improvement and shoddy work at best.

Pool was not open and in fact was flooding all over the main floor. Entire hotel smelled like sewer.
Workers were vacuuming at 11pm. No food, kitchen was “under construction”. My key was shut off and I was locked out of my room. Hotel was very loud! When we left water was pouring from the ceiling! The doors to get into the building were not secure and they did not lock! You also had to carry all bags up the actual stairs, they had no elevators! SO trashy! DO NOT STAY HERE!

We had our water shut off the second day and the pool was off limits due to the rain leaking through the roof and flooding the pool area.

Pricing changed from reservation, added a 50 dollar fee that was actually 51.62 and was told it would be refunded 3 to 5 days after checkout. Ceiling leaked as soon as it started to rain. Bathtub did not drain.
NOT a $142 dollar per night room hotel. Will not stay here again, do not recommend this place.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this place after reading some negative reviews. Our room was was one that had been redone and it was great! Comfy bed, nice and roomy, nice bathroom and just a very attractive, comfortable room. No complaints. Glad we stayed here.

I saw a cockroach a few times on the bed. Had it not been 11pm at night, I would have asked to switch rooms.

Website very misleading! They were under renovation which was badly needed. Pool was under construction which we wanted to use. Room smelled. No phone to call front desk. Kitchen closed so no breakfast as advertised. Fan in bath broken. Had I not prepaid with no refund I would have cancelled and left! They also charged a pet fee that was not listed on Expedia site and a $50 incidental charge in case you damage something. The outside security door did not lock so anyone could enter the hotel and have access to rooms. Therefore the hotel was not a safe hotel. Very disappointed in this hotel don’t waste your $

We booked this location specifically for the price and the swimming pool. Upon arrival, I found that they are remodeling, which is badly needed as the entire place is very outdated.
The pool wasn't in service (again the MAIN reason we chose this place) so that was really frustrating as it was not stated anywhere when booking! There was no discount offered, no "coupon", not even an apology.
Upon checkout, I found that they charged my card $50 for "potential incidentals". I could understand a "pre-authorization", but not an actual charge! Upon checkout, she told me it would take up to 7 days to get it back!!! They took it instantly, but then delay returning it. That's just garbage in my opinion.
Soooo, although the room was clean, we won't be staying there again.
