Hotel is in need of many updates and repairs. Lighting in hallways were not working. Room smelled musty. Check in was done at a kiosk no live person at front desk.

first off our supposed ocean view was a large sand dune. the room had what looked like coffee was spilled on the wall. in places the door did not close properly and it had to be locked when inside. the whole place was in need of a lot of work. very old and dirty looking.

The property is just over a dune from the ocean on a quiet stretch so amazing location. However, the pictures are a crazy glow-up as the fixtures were rusty, the plumbing leaky, the bed broken/sagging, and the desk broken. Despite not dealing with a person for check-in or checkout and not asking for a towel refresh, the property still billed me $10 at checkout with no receipt or warning.

The stay was not very pleasant. The room was dirty and had ants. The woman at the front desk didnt seem to care one bit. No one from housekeeping ever came in and did anything. The door to the bathroom was broke and you could not close it. The light switches in the room were all broke and would not move up or down. The breakfast consisted of frozen breakfast sandwich you had to heat up. Was not enough parking for all the hotel guests.

This was a short get away for me and some friends. The oceanfront location was perfect. Plenty of parking space. Everything was clean and the breakfast was good. The hotel itself is just a little dated. Check in and out at the virtual kiosk was a breeze. I would definitely stay here again.

The lobby had dirty windows, coffee 24 hrs, not true. Free breakfast horrible. Main problem was that the room had so many broken and missing items. Such bad repair. I can’t believe a hotel in such bad repair would carry a name like “Quality Inn”, what a joke. We left a day early because couldn’t take it!!

Quality Inn Carolina Oceanfront is a very dirty, filthy and uncomfortable place. When I came in early in the morning and checked in the front desk told me I didn't have a reservation and I told him my reservation was through Expedia. The person then told me my reservation was canceled and I told him we were tired and had driven 5 hours and we really needed a rest and he said I can't do anything for you my reservation was canceled and my kids and I left. After calling Expedia, the reservation was confirmed by Expedia and I returned to the hotel 12 hours later. The employee gave me the room key and when I got in the elevator, the elevator was very dirty and filthy like it hadn't been cleaned in years. When I got to the door room and tried to open the door to the room, I saw a guy with his family and his wife told me this was our room and I read the room number and made sure it matched the room number on the key and the two numbers matched. I went back to inquiries and spoke to them and they told me that the person gave you a key for the wrong room number and gave me another key and went up to the room and when we entered the room I found that the room was dirty and filthy as if it had not been cleaned in months.I got up and took out my phone and took a video everywhere, everywhere in the room, bathroom and a shower area everything, even the fridge, the microwave, the floor, everything,everything there was dirty and filthy, I called the Expedia team and left the room immediately

Still trying to get a full refund for this disgusting place. Roaches, rust, holes to the outdoors and pure filth. We left as we couldn’t stay.

We ended up leaving the first night of our 2 night stay. Room was extremly poor. Bathroom door didnt shut, said full/queen beds. Extremly small. Outlets bowed, mold in bathroom. Only positive....right on beach.

Horrible. Hard to believe they have they balls to continue taking money from people. If you do not leave your AC at 64 degrees or lower the entire room gets saturated with condensation, literal puddles on the floor. Also very dirty, they may have wiped the surfaces down with a dirty rag. Sheets were clean , beds were okay - other than being damp like everything else.

Extreme mold and mildew, soiled linen and towels,no room clea ing o ce the entire visit, brash abd curt hotel manager, poir breakfast o ly small waffles and frozen sausage biscuits . Horrible urine smell in roo..and i was told this is normal. Shoemwer drain clogged,, emergency smoke alram was just habging from the wall

Definitely not worth the price for how old the building was, not sure about the rooms inside the hotel but the rooms that only had outside access definitely looked more like a motel and very run down. Paid my trip in full on website and was charged over $800 when I arrived thankfully the issue was resolved but it was a big enough problem to put a stop to some of our plans. Definitely wouldn’t go back nor would I recommend the place. There are condos/apartments around the hotel that are right on the beach as well and I would definitely try that before this hotel again.

The room was filled with mold due to the moisture they kept the rooms so cold. Which I fine, I get it I love it cold! But they need to watch the condensation it caused the lamp shades, walls and curtains to mold. Other wise the staff was super friendly , the place was quiet and I wouldn’t mind staying again!

No quality with this Quality Inn. -Broken hairdryer -Stains on the walls of the rooms and missing paint on walls / ceilings -Cockroaches EVERYWHERE outside of the rooms -Lights that don't work in the hallways -Hair on the shower wall (THAT WASN'T OURS!!!) -Complimentary soap bar in room WAS ALREADY OPENED Luckily we just needed a quick shower and a bed to sleep in for the night. Was not worth the price we paid for the room :( We definitely did not bring any of our luggage in!!!

In order to check in I had to use a kiosk that connected me to someone out of country instead of talking with an actual front desk clerk. I had to scan my license and insert my credit card and then wait 8 min for the person on the other end to confirm my reservation. It seemed very insecure and sketchy. Once inside our 1st floor room it was dank and moist with dirty floors. The parking lot had lots of cigarette butts and litter throughout. After returning from the beach my key card didn't work and i required assistance.

We booked 2 rooms for most of the week. Upon check in, one room had broke fridge and terrible smell. We were moved to 2nd room. Disgusted by seeing a couple roaches in room on 2nd day. Doors were hard to open/close. Staff was friendly, housekeeper was decent but cleanliness was poor overall.

The hotel is very run down and needs a refresh. However, people don't stay in their rooms at the beach. It is very convenient and on the beach and the staff are amazing. Big shout out to Claudia at the front desk. She is very customer focused and friendly. The breakfast could definitely be improved; however again people go to the OBX to be on the beach.

The pool was not open when it was supposed to be. The front desk wasn’t manned properly. My child woke one morning with a huge roach or water bug on them as he slept. Very disturbing. We had to leave in an emergency and they were helpful and refunded a night for me. I didn’t ask them too but then they charged me again meaning I was very short of money to make the 5 hour trip home to face our emergency. Not a nice thing to have happen.

Black mold on the lamp shades. Smelled absolutely awful! Woke up with my eyes swollen, congested and coughing. When I spoke to the front desk they already knew it was like that. This place is a bio hazard.

The outside of the motel was absolutely filthy. There were roaches. The inside of the rooms were superficially cleaned. The beds were at least clean. The refrigerator was wobbling . Couldn’t even open the door without the refrigerator coming out the microwave inside was disgusting the light for the balcony kept shorting out.

Property need some care, the door of the bathroom was bad.

Dirty room, roaches

This place is a nightmare. Room was dirty. Kids asked to sleep in the car or at the beach because our room smelled so bad. Electrical taped doors, bathroom mirror was not cleaned.Im. It even sure the room was cleaned in months. The dirt and dust in the bathroom and floors was absurd. Can hear your neighbor. Couldn’t get out of the place soon enough. AVOID AT ALL COST!
