I just couldn't believe that a place I paid $1400 for 3 days, had no facilities, and not even a computer. The room was comfortable, TV worked fine. Breakfast was minimal for a Hampton Inn. No pool, business center, or fitness facility. Like I said no frills. Not a place I'll be coming back to.

We had a really good stay. The rooms were nice and the staff friendly. It was like a small, personal hotel. And the price was fair. We will definitely be staying here next time we come. I like that everything was close enough (I.e. kitchen, front desk, ice machine ) ect. We had a pleasant stay. Thank you.

Very nice property, but my only complaint is the walls are thin, and at night you could hear people walking above you, which made sleeping hard.

Worth for the money

Good location and great bathroom/shower!

The staff was friendly, the breakfast was ok, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. My only problem was there appeared to be mold on the shower head which really grossed me out. I wanted to stay an extra day because I had such restful sleep but the shower head just put me off even though the actual bathroom seemed to be clean but the shower head had what looked like mold. I feel this could have easily been prevented with the million mold and mildew cleaning products out there. I would have given 5 stars

The only bummer for me was, no tub or microwave or drawers for clothes in the room. The surroundings have lots of homeless.

Very clean and excellent location!

Hampton Inn Monterey provided me and my husband's need for a short time vacation. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfy. The location of Hampton Inn Monterey is near the tourist spots and a trail or two that is walkable for your morning walk. Breakfast is provided and there is a In and Out that you can walk in 2 minutes. The staff are friendly and respectful. Overall, I had a good experience and would consider checking in again.

loved our stay here. Location was so convenient to where we needed to go. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only bad thing I'd say was the fitness center was tiny and had no free weights. Only 3 cardio machines and kettle bells. Breakfast was free and good choices. Offered late check out. Parking does get filled but allowed to park along the side of the walls. There was graffiti outside across the street from the hotel on a small building. check in was quick, easy, and smooth!

Extremely clean, wonderful front desk service, modern bathroom, lots of power outlets to charge things. Good location; lots of food options in surrounding intersections and Cannery Row just 2 miles away. Very quiet

I liked it. If I could’ve changed anything, it would have just been the smell. It wasn’t horrible. It just had a smell. The rooms were super clean. There wasn’t a whole lot of staff. if I could change one thing, it would be the beds. I just like a little bit softer-firmer bed.

It was A pleasent plus Relaxing experience......

I had a business trip to Pebble Beach and decided to stay in Monterey for the night so my wife could enjoy what Monterey offers while I'm busy. The hotel was chosen because it's very close to the beach and within walking distance from Cannery Row, Fisherman's Warf etc. Because it was a Thursday night, the hotel was not too busy. The check-in was fast, the room spotless, and even though it's very close to the freeway, it was quiet. The room had a very large bathroom, a nice desk for me to use my laptop, a lot of charging USB ports, and plenty of electrical outlets. Breakfast was included and had a good coffee and tea, cheese omelets, oatmeal, fruits, bagels, cream cheese, juices - everyone could find something they like. Overall it was a very nice place to stay.

The Hampton Inn Monterey is basically a clean motor lodge. It is near Monterey tourist attractions which could make it a good hotel for someone wanting to be centrally located without being in the heart of a tourist district. When we arrived there were some homeless people across the street, and since the parking is open and not monitored I did question how safe the parking area is. The person who checked us in was unfriendly. When I made some basic inquiries, he snapped at me. The other desk clerks were neither friendly or unfriendly. I would say overall this was one of the least friendly/helpful staff I've encountered in the last few years. While the room was a comfortable size, and clean, the walls are paper thin--we could hear our neighbor's conversations, toilet flush etc. And the road noise makes it hard to sleep at night. The breakfast and in room coffee are basic. There was no tea in the room, but it was available in the breakfast area. Our fridge did not work, so the milk/cream we bought went bad. I brought a large group to this hotel (more than 20 people) and since I am in charge of travel for our organization, I will not be bringing our group back. I heard from several families that the noise level made it difficult to sleep and that the rooms were musty. In addition, the cost of the hotel/motel is high for what you get. It was actually more expensive than some of the nicer area hotels for the weekend we stayed (almost $700 for two nights).

Good size rooms, convenient parking. One elevator, outdated rooms, poor breakfast options, tiny fitness center. The relation between price and quality is not the best.

I have stayed here twice now and it is just underwhelming. The water pressure both times I stayed here was very low. The beds were decent, however the carpets in my room were still wet (as though they shampooed them recently, but they were not dry).

The staff was friendly the next day, but less so during the check-in. The location was ok. It was walking distance to beautiful beach. Our only main complaint was that the room was dirty. Our bed skirt was smeared with something brown, as were our towels.

Room was clean, however there were ants in the bathroom. Not a lot, just a stray one once in a while. Pretty noisy at night. Not expecting silence but there was a banging that seemed to be coming from within the walls. First in the bathroom then what sounded like behind the fridge. Then it stopped. But overall not bad at all. Within a reasonable distance from cannery row

Hotel is great! However, the beds are little tough and not comfortable. Overall everything else in the hotel is great!

Other than limited parking it was great. Quiet, great location, helpful staff.
