We have stayed at the H Hotel several times over the past few years.
The standard of service and offerings seems to have cheapened whilst prices have increased.
Apparently, only in-room tea & coffee is only available on the 8th floor. Not standard as in most other hotels.
Do not expect anything else in the room apart from the most basic of things. No bottle openers, no wine glases, no cutlery.
In the bathroom, just soap (attached to the wall)
Breakfast - again is just basic.
Staff should consider a daily shower if being around customers and the breakfast area.

We spent there only one night. Excellency location but the services offered are not enough quality for the price of the room, breakfast was basic and swimming pool smaller than it looked in the picture.

Amazing location! Only couple of minutes walk from Engelberg station. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel that will take you to Furenalp, Bruni and Mount Titlis cable car station. Sein childrens park and wasserfall. So one location and so many places to visit just within few minutes bus ride. I would strongly recommend Hotel H which have restaurants downstairs and many more within couple of minutes walk. Also big supermarket right next door. Had amazing experience ! Thank you Expedia

Engelberg is quiet city. This hotel is good to enjoy this city. We could relax in whole days. Memory days in my life in ‘angel’ place.

Nice location - is the only positive thing about this hotel. Worst breakfast buffet ever apart from a buffet at Egyptian Hotel in 1989. Almost everything was missing 40 min. before buffet closing. Not even salt was available.
Housekeeping knocking and opening door at 08:01.
Front desk manager reimbursed parking fee - due to “unacceptable poor breakfast”

The hotel is right in front of the free bus stop to the ski gondola. Although a bit dated the room was nice and warm. A balcony was a great touch. Noise from the corridor came in easily so a door replacement will make it great. Wellness I think sauna was renovated to be great. Half board Friday dinner was awesome but Saturday dinner burger was not satisfactory.

Great location, very central to everything. Nice rooms, we also had a balcony which got the lovely afternoon sun. Bathroom was nice, although the main problem is the shower where the taps are on the side of the wall rather than at the end under the shower head, so you end up continuously knocking your elbows when trying to wash your body or hair. The spa area is nice, although its not sound proof or sound protected at all so while youre trying to relax all you can hear is the kids yelling in the pool. Same with the hallways, when you're in your room, you can hear when people are talking or walking around in the hallways. The restaurant for dinner is outstanding, and the breakfast is great, too.

I stayed for a long weekend and I will never go back. My room was hot like a sauna and the staff told me to sleep with the balcony door open. The pillows were uncomfortable and the room felt like it had been renovated in the 90s. The SPA was unisex, used band aids floated around in the pool, and swimwear was not allowed. The hotel restaurant also said they don’t have any space for people staying at the hotel and recommended that I go to the train station for Indian food, because apparently everything else is fully booked during a weekend. No room service and no food at the bar. An absolute nightmare in every way. Never visit this hotel.

Wonderful hotel, amazing staff, Incredible breakfast. Checked in late night and had trouble finding parking...Shiela was gracious enough to walk all the way down, guide me to the right slot and made sure I was set for the night. Never had such personal and attentive help at any hotel!

We had a very comfortable stay in a spacious room with excellent view of the mountains. Room had great storage. The hotel is less than 5 mins away from the station.

Fabulous hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay here. Wish we had more time to stay longer. We travelled around Switzerland and this hotel was my favorite. Conveniently located near train station. Staff was very friendly. Loved it..

Good hotel, nice rooms with enough space. The wellness area is a nice extra after a day skiing, pool busy however with small kids. Well located in town center, ski bus halts in front of hotel, 5-10 minute drive to ski station. The restaurant and bar lack a nice atmosphere, but plenty of restaurants & bars in walking distance.

Hotel is conveniently located in the center of town and has access to two great restaurants connected to the hotel.
Hotel staff were amazing! Very helpful and polite. Delphine was the young woman who checked us into the room and checked us out, and she was very polite and courteous.
The bartender was very funny and energetic.
The breakfast buffet was amazing and had a wide variety of “American” and European style variety.
Urchig restaurant connected to the hotel also had very presentable and tasty dishes worth ordering.

Location is the best! There is a bus stop opposite to the hotel and a ski equipment rental shop is a side, also round the corner you can find a supermarket!
I’ve ordered a half board service, breakfast was amazing with various food choice. However the set dinner was a little disappointed.
The view from rooms was amazing too, spacious room more than enough for me with family. But the amenities in room were just fair, and a bit depreciated.

Rooms are very outdated and central heating turned our room into a sauna - had to sleep with the balcony door open (in January!). Ski room is horrendous for a Swiss ski resort hotel, basically a repurposed bunker/deposit with basic racking. Breakfast was the biggest positive of the stay - lots of savoury and sweet options, and very good quality. Didn't use the SPA. Location is good - bus to ski lift stops in front of the hotel. Overall, well below expectations given the 8.8 hotels.com rating (which is far too generous).
