The stay ok there were a few issues. The dead bolt was completely gone, the lock didn’t work when the door was closed, toliet leaked, the water pressure was not great for the shower.

No ice bucket in room. A cracked tray in refrigerator.Tried to charge $250 pet fee. Very nosey and came to room twice to see when was checking out.

To everyone that is reading negative reviews of this property and freaking out, I am writing to tell you, IT'S FINE! Better than fine! We live in Charleston, SC and booked a last minute trip for parents weekend at IU. All the usual hotels were full (or listing crazy prices north of $800 a night...for a Hampton Inn...no way.) The Travel Lodge was available and reasonable and we figured, what the hell. It's in a good location and it's just one night. Like all of you, I immediately jumped on Trip Advisor, etc. to read reviews. Lots of "not good, stay away, dirty." This is 100% not true! Is it the Ritz? No. It's a budget hotel in an excellent location staffed by truly caring people who went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. The lobby is pleasant, there were snacks, service was good. Coffee was great, fresh fruit, bagels....it was terrific for a budget hotel. Rooms were clean, shower was good, beds were firm, everything felt safe, lots of other parents staying on property for the weekend. Our kid is in a frat off of Eagleson....we couldn't have been in a more central location. I never write these reviews but feel compelled to give this hotel some love. It does NOT deserve some of the scathing reviews on various sites. Those folks can go back to The Graduate and pay $1000 a night. Bye. For the rest of us...the Travel Lodge is terrific.

Pretty run down and needs updating.

The safe in the room didn't work. The hairdryer didn't work. Seemed generally dirty and no housekeeping.

1st room assigned I could not get into it. Then was told they use it for storage most of the time. 2nd room was ok. Bed was comfortable & shower water was warm. Room was for sleeping not spending time at the hotel.

We found bedbugs in our room never go here. The man at the front desk was not remotely surprised there were bugs.

My room had a "Musty" Smell that permeated the room. Disappeared to be coming from Mold in the bathroom area.

There was a homeless couple fighting outside of my room most of the night and my room was permeated with the smell of incense

The property was affordable, but very outdated and old. It was clean and the staff was friendly, but it definitely not worth what o had to pay.

Good hotel if need a short stay. Hotel has an older vibe, but some updates are apparent. Also, breakfast is limited, but plenty of options nearby

Filthy hotel. Seedy people hanging out in parking lot. Bugs on the floor in the lobby. I paid $ to not stay here. I ate the cost and stayed somewhere else.

The room was clean and everything was comfortable enough. One odd thing was that during breakfast I was told that since I hadn't gotten some upgrade, I couldn't use the plates or silverware, though I was still able to eat.

I stayed two nights for golf room was fair for the price BIG PROBLEM charged 100 dollar deposit on July 13 th visit made a call about my deposit not refunded here it is August 8 th just called again and was told he would leave a message to person responsible!!

When it was time to go to bed we noticed the sheets was dirty had a stain that looked like blood called to the office housekeeping had already left but the guy in the office went to another room got us some clean sheets when he got there we showed him the dirty sheets he apologized .The air was not the best . 1015 next morning some guy knocks on the door to ask was we checking out and of course we was but check out wasn't til 11. The best part was the guy checking us in he was very nice.

The hotel smelled. When I turned the light switch on, a bug crawled out of the wall. Very disappointed because this hotel is so close to the IU campus.

Overall good for a weekend trip but shower in our room was much lower than usual so taking showers was a bit difficult.

Very dated, halls smelled bad, room not clean to our standards (had to clean hair out of tub, sink ect) no shampoo, coffee pot, old fridge, no shades on lamps. Stayed two days, they emptied trash from one basket, did not make beds or restock toiletries. Won’t be staying there again.

The customer service was very good. The bed was comfortable. The hotel itself is outdated and a little musty smelling. Had to have air conditioner on high with some air freshener to make it work. The continental breakfast was limited but good.

The hotel comforters were visibly dirty and smelled bad. The halls smelled musty. The rooms smelled dirty and musty. The furniture was mismatched and fit poorly in the room. The room itself was not very clean. However, the front desk person was great at check in.

Had a nice stay. Needed to turn on AC, but it was fully controllable and cooled down just fine. Late night check-in was handy fir this trip. Good location near IU campus and retail and restaurants. Made me pay $100 Deposit, then Refunded promptly.

We arrived around 10 pm. Air conditioning was not on and it took until 3am to even get cool. We were already in bed and did not have the energy after a long family wedding day to even call to change rooms.

They charged me an extra 50 and stil have yet to be refunded, ontop of the security deposit, rooms smelled like cigarettes (non smoker) as did the hallways, the bathrooms and bath tubs were very hazardous could of fell in the tub
