Great value & free hot breakfast

Homeless living next door. Old room, loud AC. Dirty floor. Good breakfast and location near where we needed to be.

Its hood & front desk agent needs a class on customer service or maybe just church? Either way there were homeless people hanging out around the property at night & woke up to police at another room due to domestic violence. Never again.

Great location close to shopping and restaurants

This place is one of my regular stops between southern Cal and Oregon. I do 2-4 nights per year here so I know it pretty well. Big property and usually pretty empty. The desk clerks are always upbeat and friendly. Needed my room changed after check-in -- I'd requested a queen bed and to be on the lower level, but apparently the queen beds are on the upper level unless you want a "handicapped room" (as she so un-PC referred to it). I took it but immediately realized yes it has a massive bathroom but no desk, and I need a desk. But she quickly moved me into a lower with two doubles (and a desk) which was perfectly fine. There are two downsides to the place. One is that the bathtubs don't have those traction strips in them, so they are slick and super slippery especially after you use soap or shampoo. My coordination is pretty good but I still nearly took a header. Be very very careful in the shower! The other issue is that the internet is unreliable. It drops out for extended periods. Every time I go there I use my mobile hotspot at some point. So if you need internet while there make sure you know how to access your mobile hotspot. As always I got takeout from the Cattlemen's a few blocks down. Excellent BBQ!

The property and rooms are look like just had renovation. Room was very nice and so tidy, the management keeps everything simple but functional. Very very good!!!!

Ladies that work there were nice but the place was dirty. So very dirty. Couldn’t walk around without shoes, baseboards were thick with grime, couldnt take a shower without shower shoes, spiders in the walk corners ect. Bed and sheets were clean though

We came to Redding for a car show and booked 4 rooms here with the understanding we were going to have rooms next to the parking lot for trailers so we could keep an eye on them. They kept telling us that they made a note of it. When we arrived we weren’t anywhere near the lot so they ended up giving us queen beds instead of the king beds and we were up on the third floor at least closer to the lot. I was told we were getting a partial refund back but then the lady at checkout didn’t mention anything about it. Also our room got cleaned and they left our room door open! Anyone could’ve walked in and stole our property I understand this was a busy weekend for them but we have been doing this car show for decades, and will not be returning here.

We got in late, service and room was excellent.

We arrived late—around 10pm—and the staff was professional and went out of her way to clarify 3rd party booking details. There is no elevator and there were no rooms on the 1st floor so stairs were the only option. For someone with physical limitations, it was a bit difficult. It looked like someone had tried to break down the door from the outside. The doorframe was ripped off the wall and literally hanging back and forth where the safety latch was. It was clean, but if you are sensitive to stains on sheets and towels, you might need to upgrade to another hotel. It’s an older building so the shower not draining well was not a big surprise. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay there alone.

Centrally located. Close to restaurants and shopping. Shower was so nice with plenty of hot water. Looks like they have updated several things. Good breakfast. I always use ear plugs when traveling because most places are a bit noisy with guest coming and going. Overall place was quite comfortable

The fellow working the night shift was very friendly and thorough when we checked in. However, the WiFi did not connect as room 121 was too far away to pick up the signal. The wifi was great at the office area. I would suggest getting an expander to reach the all guest rooms. 👍

phone in room didn;t work , main door broken. homeless around all hours , trying to get in our car and our room. management not doing any thing ,,,,,

It was an overnight, last leg of my trip home to Oregon. Thanks to Chris for making my check in seemless and smooth. I had my service dog with me and you had a good area to potty them and supplied bags.

The check in was spectacular! I asked to price match which they couldn't do, and he told me up front he didn't have anything on the main floor ( I have trouble walking which he noted as I got out of the car). So while i booked through the app, he did some looking and upgraded me to a better room ON THE GROUND FLOOR! We chatted about the area and he made me a good price on Dr. Pepper. Great personality and it set the tone for a great stay!

If you would like to be treated like a criminal on your vacation and you should stay here. They refuse to give me a third floor room. No coffee pot. The ice machine is on lockdown. There are creepy people living there. And they will put you as a single person traveling back right in between everyone who's outside using drugs and commiserating with the homeless. This is a terrible property and you should never stay there

We had a long driving day. The hotel was not busy. We asked if we could be in quiet room. We were told no one would be booked above us as lots of rooms. At 10:30 Pm people were booked in that slammed drawers and walked steady till midnight. No carpets on floors so was very noisy. We are upset as the lady that booked us in said no problem. It would be quiet above us.

Great experience! Stayed in BW during our week of travel and this by far beat all of those. Better breakfast, cleanliness and comfort.

Nice to stay

The bathroom was spotless, comfortable bed, great breakfast. No complaints and will stay again when passing through.

Staff and property were very good. My beef is with Expedia itself. When we were checking in there was a problem with our credit card not being accepted because we already paid for it so there was something about a ghost card that will work. Held us up for a long time until the clerk could straighten it out. Not sure I will use Expedia to book anything again if this is the hassle we have to go through.

Chris is a great front dest employee. Very friendly and professional.

Basic and comfortable stay overall, breakfast area was kept clean and fully stocked. Staff at the front desk were friendly. Room was overall clean and comfortable. Our room AC had kind of a moldy smell to it, but overall the room had all the essentials we needed. Coffee maker, small fridge, iron, hair dryer, shampoo, body soap, free wifi, ice machine nearby, etc. Room service is done as needed but they kept freshening our towels and taking the trash. The hotel/inn was close to restaurant shopping and points of interest in Redding.
