The lady at the front desk was really nice, but the rooms were old and filthy. The bathroom was disgusting. They never wipe anything down even the mirrors were dirty. I will probably never stay there again.

The worst and dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The front desk staff was amazing and very helpful. The only bright side.

The location is perfect and provided an excellent walking trail along the river. The hotel is run down and our room had lots of cosmetic issues, like holes in the walls, water damage on the ceiling, fixtures didn't work. The was a nasty odor due to the age of the furniture and carpet. The bed sagged and was not terribly comfortable. Overall, the property needs some TLC.

Nice stay in a dated facility. Work is underway, pool is a nice amenity. No on-site restaurant or bar, other than complimentary breakfast which was good. Friendly service, great rate.

Stayed there twice recently. First room, the shower pressure was very low, and if I turned the shower head higher, it would not stay in position and it would start to leak badly. Could not figure out how to work the A/C and had to unplug it. Train noise in the middle of the night, but just once.
Second stay, on second floor, lots of noise from the people above us. Floor in the bathroom had several cracked tiles, but the shower worked well.

I was in town for a three night stay for a conference. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The shuttle was really great to have back-and-forth to the conference downtown. It’s my understanding per the front desk, that the hotel is due for an update by the new owner Issues within my room: bathroom tile broken, the toilet handle fell off while flushing, I could not figure out how to turn the ceiling fan off. The ice machine across the hall did not work. The room finishes just seem old and worn however, the bed was clean and comfortable , and as I said, the staff was excellent. It just needs a little makeover and upgrading. I’ll be back again.

the check in desk was friendly and kind. But the cleaning staff needs improvement. we were in the King suit and were disappointed that our room was barely cleaned. We think that they only changed the sheets and made the bed. The toilet was dirty and we had to clean it before use. The shower had hair in it and the tub needed cleaning. There was what looked to be a bloody hand print by the door. The next morning my husband went down to the breakfast. There was no waffles, no forks to eat our eggs and only two cereals to choose from.

Overall not so great. The parking lot was atrocious. Trying to get out i scratched my side of my car because construction equipment and a van blocked getting out. The area they have for smoking is just outside the entrance. That sucked. The front desk guy was very nice and checked us in as soon as he could. The room looked clean initially, upon further discovery we saw toenails in the carpet and the pillows smelt like dirty hair. The breakfast was not so great either.

Checkin was fine but when we got to our room at 10:00 pm we found our room had not been cleaned from the previous guest at all. I informed the front desk in which they moved our room. The room we moved into the shower head was broken sprayed the whole bathroom including the ceiling and floor. My husband had to hold the shower head on just to get proper water and had a hard time getting hot water to flow.

Terrible experience suite with a stove that is from the 1970,and with no function, deteriorated wood under sink, no dishes, the bathtub was with mold and tiles,the dining room table at the room with a lot of scratches I spoke at the front desk to speak with the manager never see her, we book 4 couples four rooms because we have a cruise the next week and we want to be in Anchorage two days, for spend some time and do some excursion, never go again to this hotel also one day at 8:30 they don’t have eggs and I ask the girl that was serving and told me that it finish when it’s supposed to be until 9 I don’t blame the lady it’s the hotel that no was prepare for the people that are staying that weekend

The location was very good - walkable, convenient to downtown and railroad station. Shuttle goes to airport, railroad, and local restaurants/tourist attractions. Only downside was our room had several bad stains on carpet. Otherwise the room and facility were clean.

Comfortable hotel with good climate control. Situated next to a railroad track there are the occasional train whistles which could interfere with sleep. Overall clean and quiet.

People on bench next to entrance smoking. Flies in main lobby. Young gentleman at front desk very friendly. In the room large stains on rugs. Wallpaper in corner bubbling as of from water damage. Clock and end tables had a residue on them. I called front desk about the lack of cleanliness. She came up and said we should have told them right away. It’s 5 and you checked in at 4. We took an Uber at 4:30 just to get there. She then said they are in the process of renovations all area hotels are like this. Plan was to sight see next day and leave bags at desk. Did not feel safe doing that. Walking to our room many doors were propped open by safety bar. No idea if people in those rooms. I go camping in a tent that’s cleaner than this place. I’m fine with old but not clean. Took the loss and went to another hotel. Very uncomfortable feeling there. Not worth $300. Close to train tracks too.

The facility is terribly run down. Carpet was stained, bathroom needs major overhaul. Room was not clean. Had to ask for towels to be placed in the room. We had to pick them up at the fro t desk. Absolutely no soap in the sink nor tub area. I would have a very difficult time recommending this to anyone. I am a travel agent and would not recommend it and price is too high for the shape if the property

I had booked 2 separate rooms for my brother and me --when we arrived after 3pm (check-in time was 3pm), we were told that only 1 room was available --and that they would come and get us when another one was available. No one came --so we went down at past 5pm --and they were still scrambling. The other issue was there was a huge page of black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. They also didn't include hand soap in the bathroom and two conditioners w/o shampoo. There were stains on the carpet as well. There was a smell to the room and because the hotel sits by the train tracks, we kept hearing the train whistle constantly. It's like they just put a band-aid on all their issues. This place is in need of a big upgrade. It's gross.

Run down and dirty. The excuse they will remodel this winter means they don’t care how the current guests’ experience is. Carpets dirty with stains, AC vents never cleaned, bath fan motor barely turns, and upon arrival no shower curtain. Staff did their best but likely owner doesn’t care to do any maintenance.

We were promised by two separate people that there would be prompt shuttle service, there was not. We have asked to be put on the scheduled to be taken to the airport the morning after our stay, Unfortunately we will not have another schedule, However the front desk Play shadow driver.It was able to make a quick run to the airport for us. Had he not done this, we would have missed our transfer.Two are cruise ship. I would not recommend this hotel.Because I do not follow through a promises.

Shuttle to and from train station and airport was the highlight. Hotel is in need if a serious renovation. Carpet was peeling up, shower handle was falling off the wall, ran out of coffee by 8am. Didn’t feel clean, charger outlet ls didn’t work, no coffee in the room. All of this would have been fine for $100/night but not for $230.

The property was fairly clean, it could use some updating. The only complaint was when booking it said we could get a roll out bed, we had 3 kids with us and the rooms are 2 queens. when we arrived they said the roll out bed does not fit in the queen rooms. we made due it was not that big of deal.

Probably the worst quality-to-cost hotel stay I've ever had. They provided hand towels for the shower (see picture). The body wash was open and half empty, indicating it was from the prior guest. The room smelled bad and I cringed to use the furniture. The breakfast is more miss than hit and the coffee is nearly undrinkable when it's put out (usually isn't). The TV is essentially non-functional - your only hope would be the little guide they give you telling you what channel is what, but the guide wasn't accurate. It's right next to the train station so if you're taking the train, that's great; if you're not, that's noise.

The location was great as it was close to downtown Anchorage. There's a running/cycling trail nearby.
However, the carpets had a musty odor. It looked and smelled old.

This place was a dump and the first room they put us in stunk really bad and the wife told me to get another room and they had only one more room. The room was very dirty and it was obvious that house keeping did not care plus the carpet looked like it was 20 years old and I think dogs pissed all over the carpet and that is why the rooms smell so bad.

Don’t go there. They’ll tell you there’s a shuttle coming to the airport but he probably won’t show up. There was no electricity in the bathroom. They came and said they’d fix it - never came back. Extremely poor customer service with no compensation.
