On the positive side, employees are kind and try to be helpful and breakfast was fine.
The downside, for close to 200 per night including taxes, the hotel is not worth the money. In our initial room, the bathroom door was too swollen to work properly. It couldn't close fully, and if one managed to close it enough for privacy, it was very difficult to open to get out of the bathroom. Due to this, we switched rooms. In the second room, the hotel phone and tv remote didn't work, the shower/tub lever didn't properly divert water to the shower head so that one had a very light shower with mostly water coming out for a tub bath. The bathroom floor was nasty and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time, hard to understand how that happens. The desk chair was completely and obviously torn, really not what one expects to find in a hotel room for close to 200 per night.
I didn't have expectations of a luxury hotel, but at what price point might one expect a decent room with everything in working order.
Would not stay here again.

Very pleasant day, but I did not have a great deal of confidence in the hygiene of any area when I discovered that the previous guests’ soap was still in the shower.

Wifi was bad. Breakfast was bad. Food was not labelled. Breakfast timings were 6am-10am but if you showed up after 9am a lot of the food items like milk and yogurt would be gone with no one to restock it. Overall a very average hotel.

Good hotel for what we paid. Other guests were really loud and partying but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Will stay again.

The Clarion is a convenient place for lodging and catching those early morning flights from AVL. The price is very reasonable, the room was clean, and the free breakfast was robust and good too. Lots of good restaurants nearby. I'll be staying there again.

The staff at this location is awesome. Everyone greets you with a smile and hello if you pass them. Location is excellent to the airport.

An early check in was not a problem. All employees were friendly and accommodating. Room smelled musty and obvious water damage to the wall under the window / by the A/C unit. Room should be taken out of service until repaired.

King bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools. There is a Hispanic restaurant connected to the hotel that was convenient to eat at and was good. The hotel is close to other restaurants as well which was nice.

My stay didn’t start off good. I was initially given a room which faced a lot with parked trucks with their engines on. It was loud. Since my stay was for 5 nights, I requested another room in the other side of the hallway - which was quieter. However, the new room also had some issues - broken lamp shades and a loose toilet seat.
While the condition of the room could have been better, I did like the location. There are a couple of good dining options within short walking distance - a Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel and a Longhorn Steakhouse across the parking lot. Also, the daily breakfast is above average.
Overall, the stay was good for my purposes as I wasn’t in the room much except to sleep. The price was good for the Asheville area - and the location was good for where I needed to be.

Booked a same-day reservation here to stop for the night. The hotel is two stories with approximately 280 rooms. We stayed in a room with a king-size bed and a pull-out couch, which was perfect for our family of four.
Breakfast was quite decent with a good selection of hot meals. However, the line for the waffle machines was a bit long since there were only two machines and one was broken.
My kids particularly enjoyed the two pools available, one indoor and one outdoor, which provided a great option regardless of the weather.
The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient access to good stores and restaurants nearby for shopping and dining.
Overall, a pleasant stay that catered well to our family's needs.

At the last minute, I found rates at the Clarion on Expedia. However, we had not made the reservation yet. We were greeted by An exceptional guest Service agent, AshlleyHouse. She took time to help us secure the best rates and advised us of nearby attractions And places to dine.

This motel is the worst I have stayed at in years. It may be slightly better than camping out but not by much. Poorly maintained. Worst bathroom of any place I have ever been. No cabinets . Toilet , sink, shower with a chair in it . Pitiful. I will NEVER stay at a Clarion again.

They had to move us twice to find a clean room and it was terrible trying to get in and out of the place from the traffic.

I wish the walls were not so thin. I got in late around 10pm and the guy next door was dry heaving and gaging all night and again in the morning. The carpet had mold on it. The tile floor part was mopped with dirty water and you could see all the dirt mopped onto the floor which left it sticky. Very hard a feel clean in the room and have a sound sleep due to the guy next door. I left sorry for the house keepers and told them to protect themselves.

The bed was extremely comfy and the hotel and baths were immaculate clean. There was a fold out sofa in the room that was dirty. It really needs to be replaced. We would not sit on it.

Someone needs to tell housekeeping that check out is at 12 and not 9 am. They intentionally do this so they can get done faster. Quit waking people up!!
