This place is very nice, the inly thing I don’t like about is

Room location and amenities were poor. WiFi and tv reception went on and off. front desk said everything was great but it wasn’t. Restaurant wait staff were great. Front desk was less than helpful. We canceled our stay scheduled for 10 days later because we were so disappointed in the resort.

The hotel was friendly and welcoming. Everyone worked on the property was friendly. I can’t say enough how much we love this resort. The rooms was clean. Location was great. Private beach was wonderful. The lagoon pool was great! There was a dark hair lady (not sure if it was owner or not) so friendly they have 8cats they are on the property and they feed them and take care of them. It’s so wonderful to see ❤️ this vacation was so memorable and the place is perfect for families.

Not the newest hotel but very friendly staff, nice amenities and nice location (even though a bit tricky to get there).

The hotel is old and there's not much they can do about certain things except a total renovation. It is as clean as it can be and the beds are always comfortable and the amenities are great so I will continue to stay here. The shower drain is a little slow but the fridge is a nice size and keeps things cold.
It is fun to go on the beach and watch the cruise ships go by and with mini golf tennis and many more activities including a fantastic pool, this resort will not disappoint. Just do not take a taxi cab from the airport as they tend to overcharge.
We have only eaten at the bar next to the pool and the pizza and sandwiches are good and the employees there are very friendly.

Computers were down on check in. Arrived at 8 p.m. and took a long time to get a room. Hotel staff was overwhelmed. Weird that many guests arriving after us got a room first with no explanation. We stayed chilled and we understand that not all staff can cope when normal systems go down, even one apology or a breakfast voucher would have gone a long way after a long day of travel. The room was super dated, but very clean. Hotel has some amazing touches, but then room fit out is a let down dinner at the restaurant was AMAZING. Biggest draw back was staff. Mostly felt like they were looking to minimize guest interaction. I know its hard to hire these days, but they need some real hospitality coaching. None of the 7 families that i saw checking in got an apology or any sort of consideration for waiting...some of us for hours, and no one got stressed or mean to staff, so youd think theyd show some love!

Love the old character of the property. Friendly staff. Good food! A few too many children for my liking but easy enough to ignore. Great architecture! Super comfy beds!

Grand and beautiful property with plenty of family friendly activities. The staff was friendly. Fran and Ramon were exceptional. The only downside is you have to uber everywhere because it is not easily accessible to downtown.

encountered a few minor issues upon check-in. I brought them to the staff’s attention, and they were handled promptly and professionally. The manager was particularly kind, personally apologizing and going above and beyond by offering breakfast as a gesture for the inconvenience. The staff’s quick response and excellent customer service really made a difference in my stay. I appreciate the manager’s attention to detail and willingness to make things right. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would stay here again.

Property staff was amazing. Property still has old-school charm, but definitely needs some updating in the rooms.
Maybe take the old carpets out and put new flooring. Also, the balcony is very crowded with lots of chairs, including a long chair that does not fit on it well so you can not walk around easily

I’ve stayed here a few times with my husband. We love the pools, the beach, and not needing to leave the property. They have almost everything and there is not need to leave. On one side of the adult pool is a server; however the 2 days we were at the pool she never crossed to the south side of the pool. Our main disappointment was the bed in room 434. It was terrible. You can clearly see it is worn out and sinking in the middle. My hubby and I woke up each morning with back pain. The pull out couch was too small for us so that wasn’t an option. Our meals and drinks were good. Staff is friendly. The spa staff are also very friendly and I enjoyed my massage from Fernando. We’ll be back but we won’t be sleeping on that mattress again.

Everything was great, the hotel had an old world Florida vibe to it. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was super comfortable and the pool was great.

Moldy rooms, paint bubbling off of ceiling due to mold. Rude service by most staff. We have been to this hotel on the past and it was amazing, but clearly they have let it get run down and don’t treat their guests well at all now. Very disappointed in this stay, I will not be coming back.

Like usual, the Lago Mar does not disappoint! The beach is the best around. We have stayed here many times in the past and it is great to see the familiar faces around the resort. The pool is amazing and we had two wonderful rooms with amazing views. We can’t choose anywhere else to visit when we are planning our vacation.

We come to Lago Mar every year. It’s our happy place. The food, service, drinks, amenities, beach, pool, etc. everything is wonderful. We cannot wait for our next get away there!

Happily greeted by staff as I entered. Check in and parking was a breeze. Parking was always amble. Absolutely stunning well maintained property situated on the beach! Chairs and umbrellas were set up and plentiful by the ocean. Clean large comfortable room with balcony. Room service was exceptional and prompt. We will be coming back again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Amazing beachfront hotel. Walking distance to the shore. No problems at all. If you like to fish, it’s close to the Inlet. Can’t recommend it more.

Shop and ice cream closed early when yhey told us they would be open later. General look of common areas were nice. Our microwave was broken. Nice to be upgraded and access the room early. Beach area was a little trashy.

This is our 3rd time staying in Lago Mar and we love the family, quiet atmosphere, it’s safe, and has thingns to do for kids, adults. Lago Mar had it right. We love it there.

Overall great experience. Room size was nice. Was not crowded. Plenty of room to be in pool and beach. Ordering food was fine. Spa treatment was nice.

My Husband and I stayed here 6/26 - 7/1, this property is tucked away and sits on the ocean. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the staff were fabulous and the food at the ocean bar and grille (on site) was awesome! Las Olas Blvd in only a 5 minte drive away with plenty of shopping, restaurants and bars. Our last day here rained so i took advantage of the onsite spa with a swedish massage with the gentleman therapist ( didnt catch his name) who was amazing, walked out feeling wonderful. Nikki and Kelly who work the pools and ocean bar and grille were incredible, very personable and would always remember what you were drinking days into your trip, pretty impressive i thought! They have 2 pools, 1 being an adult only pool which we loved. The rooms are dated but very clean and are taken care of daily by housekeeping should you choose. We would definitely go back to this resort!
