Very friendly hotel. The rooftop bar was great. The filtered water in the hallway and a water bottle in the room to fill up was a very nice touch. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows could be better. The air conditioning wasn’t very strong.

Beautiful hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent room with view of the Grand Place. Great idea to have the water dispensing machines on each floor. Thank-you to Assia and the rest of the staff for a warm welcome and assistance throughout the trip!

Great hotel

The hotel is worth a visit just for their new sky deck bar and terrace which has fantastic city views although the hotel is also undergoing some major building works which badly affected our room. If staying here I would check first whether your room is effected.

Very good location. Round the corner from one of the main squares and also the Lille tourist office. Receptionist gave good advice on a short walk of the highlights and where to eat. Rooftop bar was a gorgeous addition to stay.

Great value. Excellent location and staffs are super friendly and welcoming. It's not a modern hotel by any means but the room was spacious and comfortable. Can't stress how good the location is. You are within 500m of a laundromat, grocery stores, dozens of restaurants, cafes, shopping mall, etc etc. We were able to walk to the hotel from the train station as well.

Lovely old hotel with helpful staff. The rooms were big and very clean. The hotel was close to the train station and main square. We loved the rooftop bar!

Our stay at the hotel was disappointing! We were given rooms 108 and 109 which was next to the area of the hotel where construction work was being carried out. There was drilling, hammering and banging noises from morning till evening. The carpet leading to our rooms was covered with muddy footprints with workmen going in and out of the room next door to us. We did not notice any other occupants on this floor. They seemed to be in floors 2,3and 4. We did not expect this when booking rooms in a hotel through Expedia which is a reputable international company. I do believe we deserve some compensation which should be paid by Expedia since we paid for our rooms to Expedia. We cannot ask the hotel for compensation. A full refund would be appreciated after this terrible experience! Many thanks for your consideration.

Large hotel on the edge of town. Long way to walk but bus stop outside. Way too busy & noisy with conferences going on. One of our party had juice knocked all over him in an over busy breakfast room.

Lovely old building in the main square, with the entrance on the other side of the block. Undergoing renovations, so parts of the hotel were nice and fresh, but other parts were covered up. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. It's worth getting a room with a view over the square.

The hotel is being renovated but it didn’t disturb at all. The cleanliness was top notch, the room was very large and the bed the most comfortable. The location is the best in the city as it’s in the middle.

Had a lovely stay here for 2 days. Booked the Signature room which had a really nice view of the Grand Place. Breakfast was excellent, staff on the front desk really lovely. The building was going through some maintenance - there were some shabby carpets in some stairwells, TV and Aircon not working during our stay - but the front desk made some adjustment to the bill which was more than fair. The room view, central location and excellent breakfast really made it for us.

Hôtel seems to be in the middle of a major renovation. I’m sure it will be lovely once complete. For now there was construction in the lobby, paper lining the halls, some workers outside my 5th floor window (during the day) and occasional drilling and hammering sounds. Not as grand as the name might suggest.

Central location. Hotel doesn’t provide parking, but secure public parking just few steps away.

Very centrally located and convenient for many restaurants, bars and the subway. 15 min walk from the Eurostar terminus or could get a tram.The hotel is still being renovated which affects our scoring slightly and outlook from our room not great. However all staff were friendly and helpful and we would return again.

Great hotel and location

Great location in the heart of the city. The hotel is being refurbished currently but this didn’t impact us. Very friendly staff. Large room with good bed. Nowhere to hang full length clothes as only a 1/2 hanging space- could do with hooks on the back of door as an alternative.Room nicely decorated but could have done without the redundant fridge and broken sofa bed. Breakfast adequate.

Perfect place to stay. Can't wait to go back once the refurb in the bar is complete

Lovely hotel , great location , breakfast good

I chose this hotel for a special visit with family and choice was based on the review in hotels.com, the proximity to the centre and the nice bar where we could relax at the end of the day before going out to dinner. It’s cold in Jan and this is a necessary luxury. I was very surprised to be told that they did not have a bar due to refurbishment. This is not advertised on hotels.com and not on their website. We therefore had nowhere to relax and enjoy a supposedly Superb hotel. We were told that we could sit in our rooms and relax and use the water filter machine outside in the corridor. This is NOT what I signed up for. We would have been better to stay in a central hostel or cheaper hotel and use local bars. Moreover, the hotel does not have a parking so you use the recommended parking choices from the hotel. They said that they were all the same price so park at the nearest one, round the corner. In fact, this was twice the price of the alternatives 3 extra minutes walk away. They should know this at the very least. Breakfast was OK, but strange to sit in a room without a window. In fact, the hotel is called Bellevue, but I did not find any window to the outside other than to a central roof and fire escape. Very convenient in location, but not Bellevue and not Wonderful

Hotel was lovely on the face of it. Very welcoming staff at check in. Beautifully clean. Bit of building work going on but the room was very cold and the thermostat did not work Also the bed was not completely clean. There was a smell of perfume ( not mine ) once you were under the duvet but I ignored and thought it was my imagination BUT on waking this morning there was lipstick on the underside of the du et cover that was agin not mine. Don’t believe the bed had been slept in but maybe someone had taken a rest in it Reported on check out and apart from a cursory apology , employee did not seem overly concerned

Hotel was fine, not great but nothing wrong with it. Our room was a little small but the central location of the hotel was excellent . Walking distance from the railway station, close to the main squares and the old town. Not noisy though.

We had a wonderful two-night stay in a very luxurious family room in this hotel. We came by Eurostar to see a friend perform at the Theatre Sebastopol and the hotel was walking distance to both the venue and the Eurostar station. The hotel itself was perfect for our needs - comfortable and welcoming with a lovely buffet breakfast. The surrounding area was excellent for shopping and eating and we had the added benefit of the Christmas market on our doorstep.

very enjoyable couple of nights spent there. Market is not huge, about 90 stalls, but separately there is a big wheel and a merry go round. lots of individual shops selling tasty cakes and tempting chocolates. Easy to find somewhere reasonable to eat with good and friendly service. Similar experience in the hotel with a decent selection of hot and cold food options at breakfast.

Excellent location. Clean room and public areas.

This is a good choice of hotel as central and also easily accessible from the rail stations on foot. The breakfast area was a bit limited and food options were not always replenished unless requested. Room was comfortable and quiet but decoration is slightly quirky.

Good central location. Within easy walk to places of interest and restaurants. Nice size comfortable room.
