This property is clean and pleasing to the eye. There are moments where wear and tear are evident, [ a little wallpaper peel in the bathroom of our room, scuffing on walls in the hall/doors etc] however, excellent choice if you are staying for comfort and amenities as well as proximity for everything you would like to see and do in Omaha. Everything we wanted in our short trip was only 5 to 7 min away, and easy to navigate. The staff during the morning and afternoon was wonderful, overnight desk clerk was a little rough around the edges. Lets just say she was fun to listen to with her colorful comments after hanging up the phone while I hung out in the lobby. It was entertaining at least. Breakfast was a total spread each day, and definitely elevated from your traditional continental. The hotel is connected to Ameristar, very convenient for dining and late night / can't sleep money loss. The pool is huge , shared with Holliday Inn from Ameristar. I wasn't expecting house keeping to clean at all in our two day stay, but they did! Came back to fresh towels and made beds. They also moved our stuff around [bags and items that were on the bed] with the upmost care so they could clean. All and all, will definitely chose to stay here again.

Great place to stay if your going to the Omaha Zoo. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our time at the hotel. The pool is big for a hotel pool and the pool area is nice and turns into an indoor outdoor space when the weather is nice. The staff was very nice and helpful. The casino is right next door along with a great bar and grill. We had pizza from the sports bar and it fantastic. We would definitely book here again.

I want to start by saying that every single staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful. Each one did their best to be helpful. After getting belongings set up and put away in our room I took my shoes off and walked to the window. The carpet was soaking wet from the AC unit leaking. I had a toddler with so that was no good. I called an was assigned a different room. 2nd room was not in good shape but at least dry carpet. Probably because, as we found out later, the AC unit wasn't doing much to cool the room. The full length mirror must have been broken at some point and was missing from the wall, but the mounting pegs were sharp and still in place. We made due by putting the 2 waste cans in front of them. I booked a room for 4 but the room only had 3 towels. Furnishings were dated, bathroom door would only close if you lifted it, carpet was in need of replacing, paint was peeling on bathroom ceiling and around the AC unit. But the linens and room in general were clean. 2nd night we got back from dinner to completely soaked carpet and belongings on the floor of the outside wall. Went to the desk and was told that there were no rooms available to move to, but was given some towels to soak up the water. Front desk person came up and looked, agreed that rain came in through the window casing and AC and said that since there were no available rooms we would be refunded for that nights stay. She would talk to the manager and call me. I never received a call or refund.

Loved how it was right next to the river and it was a lovely walk in the evening.

I highly recommend the Council Bluffs Holiday Inn. The hotel is very clean, our room faced the river which was very pretty, the breakfast was great, the beds were comfy and the staff was very friendly…all that and the price was great as well!! We really enjoyed our overnight stay!

Room was clean. Room temp was 75 degrees when we walked in the room and it took awhile to get it cooled off but over all the bed and pillows were comfortable and the breakfast was good! I would definitely stay there again if ever needed!

Hotel is nice from the outside and inside. Rooms are updated with current designs. Toilet is pretty close to the vanity so if you’re a bigger person maybe opt for an accessible room. My kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub, breakfast had plenty of options. My main concern with this hotel is safety is not a top priority. Our fire alarm started chirping at 8 PM. I called the front office and they were prompt to send someone up with a new battery. The worker pulled the office chair that was in the room and stood on it. As he was balancing for his life he successfully installed the new battery. After a few minutes the detector continued to chirp. The worker threw his hands up and said I have no clue what’s going on so I’m just going to take it down. When I asked if he had another one he could replace it with he said maintenance doesn’t get here in the AM and they will fix it then. He then proceeded to take down the smoke detector and set it on the vanity and left. Thank god nothing drastic happened that night and we didn’t need a smoke detector. But it’s obvious that worker and guest safety is not a priority to this hotel. You would think they would have at-least offered to move our room if they weren’t able to fix that life safety problem. For that I will never stay at this location again.

Our stay was pretty good. The location was good. The room was just what we needed and the bed and pillows were actually comfortable. Hotel staff are very nice and respectful. Would stay again.

Wonderful staff!

The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and went over and beyond to help.

There was never any ice in the dispensers for our floor. We also used the shuttle service to the CWS and the driver dropped us 7 blocks frin the stadium and told us that was our pickup location after the game. It was not. Left stranded downtown for 2 hours and a nice Metro supervisor gave us a ride in his personal vehicle.

Everything was good, the room, the cleanest, the staff the breakfast, the pool, I love this Hotel
