Coming from Washington DC for one night to enjoy a concert was a great experience. Staying at Belleclaire made it simple, pleasent, and confortable because of its location, safety, and the beatiful experiences lived. Super recommended.

Enjoyed our stay very much! All the staff - from the check-in slerks to the service personnel - were friendly and professional. We walked much of the time in the Upper West Side/Central Park area and this was the ideal location.

Lovely neighborhood blocks away from Central Park. We used the vouchers every morning for coffee and delicious pastries at the cafe next door. Beds are really comfortable, rooms are quiet. We’d definitely stay here again.

Beautiful historic Hotel in an excellent location … we loved the included breakfast vouchers for the French Bakery (so delicious) … we loved our view of the Hudson River … very clean & comfortable rooms … helpful & friendly staff. The included Streetwise Walking Tours were an excellent bonus … loved the tours we went on … great guides!

We had a very relaxing stay. Loved having the coupons for coffee/pastry every am at Mille. Also the wine evening. Thank you for that!
My only complaint was that the mattress was too soft for my back, but didn’t bother my husband. Thanks again for your nice hospitality.

Pros:
-Exceptionally clean and comfortable stay! Beautiful hallways, floors etc.
-Take whole hotel has a delicious, subtle lemonly fragrance; and, great airflow.
-The dooormen were exceptionally courteous, attentive and helpful!
-CVS right across the street if you need something.
-It has a bakery that's separate from the hotel restaurant that's good but gets packed quickly. It's open most of the day, with outside seating available before 5PM.
-Hotel restaurant was closed for my stay (Monday) but there are plenty of restaurants; whole neighborhood is full of eateries.
Cons:
-You can hear absolutely everything outside your room. No one was being loud nor wildly, thankfully, but it's like they are right in the room with you.
-I called the front desk several times for several minutes around 5PM. No one picked up.
-Couldnt figure out the thermostat for the room; couldn't get it going at all.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely go again!

Comfortable, nicely appointed room that’s super tiny - very little space to stash luggage and anything else, unless you use the built in closet. Excellent location a few minutes from an express subway. Old building so can hear all hallway noise as if it’s happening next to you.

I am staying with the Hotel Belleclaire for over a decade now. It is the best place to stay at the UWS. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the location is great and most of all the staff is really professional, attentive and kind. Maria was really great and helped me solve some issues that came up. The price is fair and worth every $$.

Cool old hotel in a great location - away from the madness of midtown. Hallway was a bit noisy as i was close to the elevator. Will stay again but request a room further down the hall.

Pretty good. Good location. However The rooms are tiny, I had no real natural light looking into the courtyard or more like others rooms, and the shower was a bit old/mildewy. Fine for a short stay and the staff are friendly.

Well positioned. Received vouchers for breakfast but with long queues preferred a nearby Pain quotidien. Vouchers can be used for dinner as well. Small room but ok for NY standards

Room temperature was 82 degrees and required two visits from maintenance and several hours to be fixed.

Our stay was fine. The staff was very good. Bathroom was designed to accommodate handicapped; however, without a surround for the shower, the floor does get quite wet, making it difficult to dress. Bathroom privacy was important in our case.

A great hotel in a fantastic neighborhood. Very artistically done hotel with beautiful decor and great utilization of space as well. Very nice staff. The adjoining French bakery is a bonus !

This property was not what we expected. Subpar in every aspect; value, service, comfort, description in Hotels.com site and others.

Room was extremely small. Threshold to bathroom was a tripping hazard. A/C was set to 70° but the room never got below 75°. Shower head was broken. We called the front desk for additional pillows and they never came. Elevators could barely fit four people. Breakfast area had limited seating so we had to take food back to our room. Lobby was also small.

Check in was great. Front desk staff were nice. Room was clean but very cramped. Maybe OK for 1 person but we were a couple. From 11 pm - 12:30 am when we were trying to sleep - we were kept awake by noisy inconsiderate occupants across the hall. Children running in the hallway, their door open/closing repeatedly, conversations heard from inside the neighbors room. Had to call the front desk to address the disturbance. I know it was out bad luck but it ruined our stay.

The room is a great size, comfortable bed, well situated for public transportation. Only complaint is that the bathroom doesn’t have a lot of storage space. The doorman found out it was my birthday and the front desk gave us a bottle of wine; Diamond is fantastic!

Very badic and very clean room. Decent beds. No pictureson the walls. No place to sit. Very tiny uncomfortable bathrooms. No place to move around the bathroom and no place to put stuff. Nonetheless good water stream. Thin walls. Great location in the upper west side. Elevators like in paris hotels

Tremendous stay at this place! The hotel is wonderfully situated. The staff are awesome, and the quality of the beds/room is really great. The bakery was also tremendous for our morning breakfast. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for about 25 days while she attended a summer program at Columbia University. Since we were there for such a long time, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a slightly larger single room. We found it super convenient to get around, with subway stations at 79th Street and 72nd Street nearby. The neighborhood has everything you might need—nail salons, laundromats, dry cleaners, and various markets—but still manages to be quiet and safe, which was very reassuring. Plus, it's just a 10-minute walk to West Central Park, which was great for us. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs. Huge thanks to Veronica and Benedict for making our stay so comfortable!

The hotel is very clean and quiet. My stay was pleasant and was a great location to walk the city. If walking isn’t your thing the M104 bus is available right outside the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful and the voucher for breakfast at the neighboring cafe was a nice touch. I’ll be staying here again!

I paid for a one bedroom when we went to the room it was not the one bedroom i paid for. I went back to the lobby and asked whats up and they said oh thats not available tonight you can have that room tomorrow.. i feel like if i hadnt said something they weren't going to say anything. Also no compensation for the first night, i didnt ask and they didnt offer.
