The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were comfortable and very large.

The room was spacious, nicely decorated and the shower was phenomenal

After researching hotels in Killarney, we decided to stay at the Killarney Royal. We were not disappointed. Parking is off site (about a block away), and free. The lobby was perfect for cold nights by the fireplace with a glass of wine or Irish Whiskey. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We really enjoyed meeting Veronica our first night. She was a wealth of information as far as where to go and what to see. There's a coffee shop around the corner called The Shire that I'd suggest for breakfast/lunch. We will definitely be back!

The property was nice and the staff were amazing. My only complaint would be the outside noise which you can hear in the room as if you’re there. But, I did enjoy our stay there.

While taking a road trip through Southern Ireland, we were lucky enough to stay at the Killarney Royal Hotel. I have never left a review on this site, but felt the need to after our experience at the hotel. Veronica was without question amazing. Upon our arrival, she gave us perfect recommendations for our evening — activities, shops, and restaurants throughout the town. All of them were exactly what we were hoping for during our visit. However, upon our return that evening, we were able to chat with Veronica (during a quiet period downstairs) about our trip and experiences thus far and our goals for the remainder. Veronica listened to our goals and helped us draft up an itinerary for the remainder of our road trip. The following morning, when we went to check out, she even gave us a handwritten list of the itinerary with notes and recommendations. We can not thank Veronica and the Killarney Royal Hotel for the amazing experience we had. Over the course of the road trip, we traveled approximately 1,000 km in our loop of Southern Ireland and stayed at many hotels, but our stay at the Killarney Royal Hotel was the best. It was clean, personable, memorable, but most importantly the customer service we received from Veronica was without question a highlight. You can tell she loves her job and is incredibly good at it.

I'm really hoping our room was just an exception to the norm, as it wasn't as nice as the pictures... No carpeting, the windows were facing another building and incredibly dirty so not much natural light (they covered one with fake vines to make it look a bit more appealing). There was also a really strong smell of sewage coming from our bathroom. The building was also built in the early 1900s so the floors on the level above us creaked pretty loudly from other guests. The service was great though and the bed was large and comfortable. I do wish I had paid a bit more to stay at one of their partner hotels though (Killarney Towers or Killarney Plaza).

A perfect location in downtown Killarney with many restaurants nearby and easy to hop on the Ring of Kerry. Super clean and beautiful room! Food was delicious at the bar too. Wished we could if stayed longer!

Beautiful hotel, rooms and lobby. The town of Killarney is like an Irish postcard. Our only complaint was checking in too late to take advantage of a laundry service.

Had a short stay here on our trip. Unfortunately after a long day of traveling and a short night out. Returned to our room where we found the bed sheets where badly stained. New sheets where given and changed! The next morning the manager Alex apologized saying that this was unacceptable and give a discount on the stay. (Excellent manager!) With all that said and covid going on this kind of thing should never have been missed.

Location was ideal.Hotel was clean and staff were very Covid 19 aware. Food was good and staff excellent.

The staff at the Royal Killarney went out of there way to make sure we had an incredible stay. I got engaged in Killarney ten years ago and we stayed at this same property. The hotel is in a great location and is very close to the train station. upon arrival the receptionist was very nice and helpful, offering advice on things to do in Killarney for the afternoon. We stayed in the junior suite, so I expected the room to be of a very high standard in terms of cleanliness. unfortunately, this was not the case. the room has some issues with the wallpaper as it seems damp in places. under one of the windowsils, there was a pile of material which had fallen from the curtains. it was very obvious and peculiar that the cleaners had missed it. furthermore, the bedsheets had blood stains on it, as well as the pillowcase. this was very disappointing as you expect much better in the suite. overall we enjoyed this room and hotel. however, i would be hesitant to stay there again due to some sloppy mistakes in a suite.

Excellent choice for hotel. Great downtown location but still quiet. A lady named Noula at the front desk was so nice to work with when we wanted to take a tour of Dingle so we could have a break from our self-drive trip. I would definitely stay here again!!
